I just finished 2 Horizon Tour events, one was the Hoonigan S1 series, the other was the Classic Racers S1 series.

That daily challenge to “Complete 2 Horizon Tour drives” didn’t complete. Is this bugged again? Or what exactly does PGG understand under a “drive”?

I guess by drives they mean complete the freeroam rush part. I got that one after completing a single Tour.

I did the two tours earlier today. I had no issues with it registering. I’m sure you did, but just to be sure, you did all three races in both and stayed to the end? And you actually completed the drives between events? You didn’t get timed out?

Getting back to the subject of You Tube, I was watching some videos about the OPI Edition Ford GT, and discovered it has some extras that don’t come with the standard edition, like a twin-turbo V6 from the RTR Mustangs that allow it to be built up to X999. I honestly didn’t even think to check out what differences there were between this and the stock car. The videos were all pretty hilarious with all the fragile masculinity on display. “Look, I’m only buying nail polish to get the car! That’s all! I’m giving the nail polish to my girlfriend who is definitely real but lives in Canada! Okay?” Like I care about who you’re having sex with or your nail care routine. It’s completely irrelevant. Just tell people about the car and how to get it.

Yeah I fully completed all 2 series of races (3 races and 2 freeroams) which we won both, but I timed out a couple of times for the freeroam part. So you could be right, maybe with Horizon Tour drives they mean the freeroam part, not the race itself. And if that’s the case then it can be done in 1 Horizon Tour instead of 2. Thanks a lot then PG for the crisp clear description of this daily… 🙄

I got a whole three seconds in before I had to quit out. I know he’s popular and all, but his style grates on me like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh I’m not a fan of the style either (I’m probably not the target audience) but the cannon idea is interesting.

Basically you stack a load of jump pads together to multiply their effect. Get it right and you can launch a car across the map.

Ok second attempt at the Horizon Tour and indeed the daily completed! Seems PGG prioritises reaching that freeroam finish line over grabbing a morning coffee. I strongly disagree but… who am I to argue with that. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway this 3rd Horizon Tour was a fun one, C-class retro rally. I was very tempted to grab the new Mazda 323 GT-R but decided to go for my highest PI & speed car just to be safe for those freeroam parts, and that turned out to be the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. That thing rocks even in stock form, at least a podium for every race and even a victory in one. And easily beating many C600 tuned cars.

I also did one of my nicest overtakes so far in FH5, see the clip below. That’s a stock Pulsar (C594) vs a tuned Celica GT-Four (C600). And that’s my new favourite car horn taunt for overtakes as well.

AR12 Nick appeals to kids and young teenagers. Yeah, his voice is grating, but what I do like is that he does provide some good information and backstories about the new cars added to the game.

At the very least he does mention (at least now) where he gets his info from. Whether it's from here or reddit, which is about all you can ask from someone with a platform like he has.

It seems to me variants of some cars like the OPI Ford do have additional tuning parts over the normal version of a car. I was tuning the Mitsu Evo X "Welcome Pack" version and noticed they have additional body kits. When I checked the regular Mitsu Evo X, the same body kits weren't there at all, only 1 version. This makes me wonder now. Is there a list somewhere of all these special cars?

I did a shutdown and restart and finally got it to open up the cross country circuit event, I went and won that and went to check the next challenge and it's gone back to the own and drive bit. Playing on series X. I'm seriously ready to bin this frustrating game. I wish I'd just played on gamepass instead of shelling out full price and the car pass etc.

Completed this using Escort Cosworth and Gymkhana Cosworth (both American according to the game...)

I did that in the Porsche Desert Flyer. I did everything in one sitting and it really take 15 minutes to complete all 4 tasks. Beside the CC race is the first thing to do so it's not that bad. But it's also easy to say when it works properly.

I'll give it a go with the Porsche later. Maybe they are more German than VW, Mercedes & BMW. lol. For the US I even tried the 1940 5 window along with various Chevs.

I’m on Series X and I had issues too. I initially started using the 2003 Volkswagen Golf, which apparently either isn’t German, or isn’t pre 2010 because I did 3-4 cross country circuits and it wouldn’t trigger. I restarted and switched to one of those older rally Porsches and it worked on the first race. It is super annoying when stuff like this keeps happening, I find myself playing less and less each week.

Porsche isn't German enough either apparently. It's not fun wasting the limited play time one gets grinding **** that doesn't work.

I first tried 2 FE cars (Merc CLK and… I don’t even remember what else) and they both didn’t work. Eventually did it in the Desert Flyer as well. I just thought the reason for it not working was the FE cars, I didn’t link it to the brand.

I understand that, but some Forza fans do post it on the Forza Subreddits as well. News is going to get out there anyways, and those could spark excitement for fans.

The '69 Charger works. I used it for my challenges and had no problems.

For those having issues with the weekly Forzathon not tracking, I think it needs to be done with one of the Country Rivals cars from this week. Seems like PG set up the weekly challenges to go along with completing the championships this season; that's how I cleared it last week anyway.

Even if it were, there'd only be six cars eligible - Ranger Rally Raid, Escort RS1800, and Corvette ZR1 for USA, and Audi Sport quattro, BMW M5, and Porsche 930 for Germany - which would beg the question why PG didn't just state those six cars. Which it doesn't need to, because it's not true.

It's correct and incorrect at the same time. Most cars that meet the requirements will work for the Forzathon challenge, but the other 6 are the only ones eligible for the championships.

Well... yes, but the user was positing that perhaps only Country Rivals cars this season work for the Forzathon Weekly Challenge, but that's not the case - and I was pointing out that if it were, there'd only be six cars you can use. As with several other people, I've used cars for Weekly Challenge that are absolutely not part of the Country Rivals this season and they've cleared it just fine.

What's still up in the air is exactly what cars work for the Weekly, given that several users have tried cars that should be eligible but aren't working... or:

Ah, that makes sense. There is a list of eligible cars. I had no issues with the cars on the list, other than the Audi being severely underpowered...

I would like to hear about the DLC soon, I really enjoy the game but I am getting to the end of the content available. (200+hrs)
I still enjoy doing the weekly Forza playlist and Trying out the new CarPass stuff but as soon as I finish that I feel clueless of what to do next.
