Forza Horizon Demo Trailer 9th October

Good trailer. The demo is coming out exactly when I expected. Forza demos come out about 2 weeks before the release date. This demo will determine if this is a rental or purchase for me. Really looking forward to it.

The drive across the golf course is interresting since Dan said we would not be able to drive off the designated roads on the map. No exploration. I am guessing that is a designated short cut. Or its one of the campaign missions because so far I have only seen 1 car on the golf course. I guess we will find out in a week.

Hasn't it been known for a while that you can drive through the golf course?

I remember reading about that in previews about a month ago.
 
Yeah its old news. Any car can go in the golf course according to some past articles from Dan. He said that you would be able to "hoon" around in the golf course.
 
So, if you pre-ordered the game and downloaded the demo, do you get the free Viper?
 
Golf course is old news, back when people started making fun of the "points for breaking fences" concept.

This'll be one of those demos to play for hours. 👍
 
I'm torn - I don't want to ruin the surprise and delight of discovering the map in the full version, but then I think two weeks more play time and seeing everyone else's thoughts on playing it I just know I'll give in and try it.
 
I imagine we probably won't be shown much more than we'd see of the map in the first 30min of the full game - look at how limited the FM4 demo was.

I'm more curious what sort of carryover rewards we will be getting for our FM3 and FM4 saves. Perhaps there is actually a reason to venture above 150 in the levels? :lol:
 
I'm just glad I've still got my old FM3 save file around :lol:

God, I don't know how to manage to get from the 23rd to the 26th of October. Horizon will be released around here with a delay of three days... Which sucks :lol:
 
Unfortunately I deleted my FM3 save after FM4 came out. I really didnt think it would ever be of any use again.

From the GamesCon video(?) recently, I believe there will only be invisible barriers in places you can not return from; i.e. driving off a cliff as the main example given.
 
I sure hope they at least give us a the option of day or night racing in the demo, as I can't see it including the full dynamic day night cycle.
 
I can almost bet its just gonna be the preliminary race to get to the Horizon Festival

The demo is going to be a handful of different types of events that when you finish will turn into rivals events, you will be able to drive a certain selection of cars (I wouldnt doubt one would be the Viper) and get a section of the map to drive on for as long as you want.

Forgot where I found this but I posted this on another forum directly quoted.

In the demo, players will get a chance to experience the Colorado of “Forza Horizon”, driving a number of different cars across a variety of different event types – from Horizon Festival events taking place in the dusty, dirt roads of the upper hills – to a climactic street race that find players winding up, around, and over the fictional Finley Dam.
Several of the events in the “Forza Horizon” demo will automatically become Rivals Mode events after completing them, allowing “Forza” fans to compete against one another to set the fastest time. In addition, players will be able to drive and explore a section of the overall game map to get a feel for the kinds of open-road adventure that is featured in the full version of “Forza Horizon.”

Great, I'm glad my instinct was wrong. I'm just hoping to be able to drive around an area without actually having to compete in any event.

I was already planning to upgrade to Gold to play this game online. I'll have the bandwidth to handle it for at least a few months. But you just couldn't wait to take my money.

I think I'll get my own Xbox account, so that way when I get Gold Membership it won't be in my dad's account (he was pissed when I bought Minecraft Xbox 360).
