That makes sense.
I bought a PS3 for GT5 though.

I bought a PS3 for GT5 though.
ProstheticBack when the first Forza came out, I bought a XBox for it, in the end it didn't feel worth.
It IS accurate. If you watch a replay or go to a camera where you can see the front wheels turning there is a direct correlation between the telemetry wheel and the actual angle of the front wheels.
Also, Dan Greenawalt replied again to my Facebook message and he says he's going to look into it. This gives me a bit of a glimmer of hope.
Wait, so you think it might be a Fanatec issue?
buttsneezeWell, yes, and no. It's Fanatec specific but it's 100% the fault of the game, not the wheel. The way the game detects the wheel and interprets steering input from the Fanatec is the issue.
I think for one game to be worth buying an entire console is expecting a little too much of said game.
How did you determine it is a Fanatec specific issue? Is it different with an MS wheel?
buttsneezeI pre-ordered the game again anyways
What, I thought you were exercising some good discipline there.
I've got no sympathy for you. You get what you deserve.
I expect your not going to moan about it now then.
buttsneezeIt only happens with wheels over 270 degrees of rotation. The Fanatec is the only wheel for the Xbox 360 with more than 270 degrees of rotation. If you set the wheel to less than 270 the assist actually goes away, but then the linearity gets screwed up.
What about doing the forbidden starting the console up using the wheel since that caused a rotation issue with FM3. They may have corrected that causing the opposite effect from before. Just a thought.
I sent Dan Greenawalt a lengthy Facebook message explaining and proving the existence of the steering assist, and he goes and claims it's still unassisted. Great.
buttsneezeUh, I have every right to 'moan' about a legitimate problem, especially if I paid for the game. If the steering assist is that bad I'll return it.
If I see something I don't like I don't buy.
I find that hard to comprehend.
Were not talking livery glitch here, were talking an issue that effects the core game
You buy it, I don't give a damn. If your going to moan about it I have no sympathy. You know what your getting.
Like last time with F3. Just wait until banning people from the official forum starts because mentioning the problem.
buttsneezeDone, done, and done. The linearity is so whacked out that you have to set the wheel lock to like 450 degrees or less, almost eliminating the reason I bought the wheel in the first place, which was to have 900 degrees of rotation. And no, there's no setting on the wheel or in-game that can adjust the linearity to correct the problem, only one to make it worse.
They already set my posts to 'moderated' for no reason before I even got the demo, and they won't approve any posts I make about the steering assist, no matter how objective and respectful they are. They won't even answer my PMs asking why I was moderated or why my posts aren't being approved.
No, it isn't. I would bet he just signed up, and they moderate all new members until you prove you're not a troll or flamebaitet who made a new account for laughs. Im sure that they see these posts as flamebait so they don't allow them. Not really anything new, you agree to all of it when you click the "I accept" to sign up.
I hope this isn't present in the final game. Or there's a day one patch for it.
Edit: Tree'd. D'oh!
At least mine's embedded though.![]()
According to Dan Greenawalt, the steering in the final game is the same as the demo. However, he says he'll "look into it"
I think we should try to make a lot of noise about this issue on the forums so we can get it fixed. There's no other way. They won't fix it unless they realize a good portion of their community is upset.
You said that you told Dan about the assist on Facebook and he denied it? Send him a link to that video. Pretty conclusive evidence.![]()
That's just stupid. Simple as.
Made a thread over at FM.net; let's see if it gets locked.
Funny I never bothered to pay attention to it whilst turning a corner, I just brought up the Telemetry screen turned the wheel (moved the thumbstick) and noticed it was a lot...better. Guess that was full of 🤬, huh?
