The graphics look amazing, though it's still hard to compare the high detailed cars on Forza and the high detailed Premium cars on GT5.

I'd totally get this game, if I had an Xbox :p

Well, that answers my questions from before. It still sounds like the "under-bonnet" sound, and not like an external sound, and you can hear the reverb colouration in the samples. Plus the pitch shifting is terrible, which interacts with the "reverb colour" in the samples in odd ways.
That distortion is also horribly done; it just needs toning down a bit in terms of range (i.e. later / louder onset) and actual destruction of the sound, it's far too jagged sounding, like microphone distortion instead of the intended in-ear distortion.

Maybe the Bizarre Creations guys are only doing new-to-the-series cars and re-doing a selection of returners? Still, at least their interior sounds will be good. Just sort out that horrid pitch-shifting!

Now to see what happens when the cars are modified...

Agreed.

While I'm not keen enough to recognize why it doesn't sound right, I do recognize it doesn't sound right.

I have no idea what you guys are listening too. That definitely sounds like an external sound. If it was under the bonnet you would hear less exhaust and more of the intake sucking air which you dont hear at all.

You beat me to the punch ZR1. I was just about to ask if they were listening to the same video. It's indeed exterior sound.

Turn 10 don't like the color white is all.

Guys, guys, relax. Just paint the car a darker color so the wheels pop more. ;)

When you want white, gray just doesnt give the effect you want.
The point of wanting truly white wheels is they usually look the best on white cars.

For example,

Nothing really new here but the video itself is new. Just thought Id share it with you guys.

How long did people's pre-order bonuses come through after registering? Should I already have been given a code for the pre-order car or will I get that when I pick up the game?

Pick it up with the game.

Seems like we will get different exhaust notes according too Dan. He said we can put straight racing pipes on the cars.👍:)

"We put over a thousand cars on different dynos"

I cant remember if this video has been posted here but the car sounds are REALLY good.

after watching some Autovista videos with ultra realistic graphics , this video is a little cartoony like Forza 3 IMO

Cartoony? That's funny, I didn't see Bugs Bunny driving anything. I don't recall the Road Runner having any drag races with the TVR

I also thought it looked considerably more FM3 like, but that's to be expected, they're doing with AutoVista what PD did with Premium cars, that is make the game look better than what it mostly is so people will buy it.

Of course you didn't, it was hard to see Bugs since he had the racing suit/helmet on, and Road Runner was too fast for your eyes, he gave the TVR a 200m headstart and still smoked him.

Given the spec of current gen consoles, I really wouldn't complain too much.

If photo-realism can be achieved so easily with $250 worth of hardware at 60fps, then we will not need rendering programs soon.

Fixed. And even the phototravel differences are not as much as you see in Autovista vs gameplay graphics.

True, also Autovista is done in-doors. The lighting is completely different so naturally the cars are going to look a bit different.

I must be the only one here who doesn't really care about clawed hands, White wheels and cartoony graphics.

Give me all that as long as the gameplay is good.

You graphics junkies put so much pressure on developers to get things to look perfect, other parts of the game suffer.

Visually smooth and no frame tears is more important.

I'm not knocking you white wheels and clawed hand types though. Just not that important to me.

*shrug* The game looks pretty beautiful to me, so far, either way. So most complaints I have about the visuals is mostly nit picking.
To me, the consistency of the graphics that FM4 will most likely have will be most important. That's something you can't see in pictures, though...
