^I don't think it's rare (people thinking the AI in Forza is good). I think quite a few people are actually impressed with the AI in Forza.

I was very impressed with the AI in Forza. The AI in GT5 were not bad to say the least. The only time I had a problem with them were braking points (which were unpredictable) and getting T-boned, after I had spun out, and sent across the map. But of course I am at fault for that.

If they use the same AI behavior in Shift2 in Forza4 I will be happy.

Cars scale to YOUR Performance Index, and then set the difficulty of the AI. The AI are aggresive but not dirty. No rubber banding.

I am also hoping for A large scal of difficutly. From Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard, and Brutal. That way everyone has got an option.

AI auto-upgrades and easy, medium, hard, and professional difficulties have been confirmed.

I am not sure how the AI in GT5 could be considered even 1/2 way decent. They do no react to you, nor do they really take multiple lines. And the AI cars are like a brick:crazy:

The short time I have played Forza3 I like the AI. Actually overtaking, and making mistakes themselves is neat.

Auto scaling is good news. I am hoping Professional diffculty is a challenge.

So with this import car thing, does it mean we will be able to import the entire car, or just a livery? Because I just finished making a great tune for my 1,000hp R34, and I'd hate to do it again.

They haven't been very specific as to what the profile import feature will entail. Greenwalt did say that it will NOT be a direct import (meaning your exact garage and credits will carry over) but you will get a "nice" garage/credit allotment based on your garage, level, and career progression in FM3. I am unsure of tune transfers, but due to the new tire model from Pirelli why would you want tunes from FM3 on FM4? You will have to retune your cars anyway....

I dont think we are going to be able to import cars. They said (if im not mistaken) we would be given a few cars (from FM4)based upon the cars we owned in FM3. As far as liveries go, I think all we are going to be able to import is your "livery groups" not the entire car specific liveries seeing as how most likely not all the cars from FM3 will be in FM4.

Oh, okay, thanks guys!

I'd like to find out exactly too. I'll probably have to go on a spending spree before I pop in FM4. Would be nice to know the cash cutoff limit vs car ownership limit.

I....gulp...want to buy an Xbox and forza4. There I said it. Did you hear me Bill... I WANT AN XBOXXX. AAARRrGGGGHhHHhHH. The light is getting closer...... I've been killed dead.

Xbox Live is better than PSN.
atleast when it comes to being gamer friendly

Has it been stated what day Forza is on show at Gamescon ?

I'd expect T10 to show Forza on the seventeenth to the press and such. They did that with FM3 in 2009, too, and had it on ddisplay for the remaining three days. I don't think they'll do it differently this year.

Ok, looking forward to some new info.
I've promised myself however, not to watch any new autovista's and I'm sticking to it. Lol.

I'm not going to be a fangirl, but at least the multiplayer on PSn is free.

Both have their ups and downs. XBL seems to be more stable, PSN is free. Whether that's worth the 60$ per year for XBL, that's for everyone to decide on their own.

$60 per year? That's cheaper than satellite TV per month here...

Yeah, XBL Gold is roughly 5$ per month. It'll cost you roughly as much as a single game. Dunno, those 5 bucks a month are hardly worth mentioning, in my opinion, but that's just me

That's one cup of coffee a month I can do without!

But psn makes online gaming.... FREE

You know, it sounds like you're saving 50$ a month
"PSN is 5$ less per month than XBL" sounds way less impressive than "PSN is free, WBL is not", I think.

Considering that this is a forum where the majority of people are happy to spend a few hundred dollers on a wheel and racing setup, that's hilarious

I think it definitely makes a difference with how players play the game. For instance, people won't be as competitive on BFBC2 with PSN versus XBL because people want that $60 a year to mean something more.

I do prefer the XBL for this reason. Makes the games more intense. Although this is what ruined the Bungie Forums for me. (Besides constant Armor Lock Complaints) Casuals versus competitive. :yuck:

Didn't you just say this a couple of days back?
Hehe, I could get stationary internet if I wanted to, thing is, my mobile connection is free, so upgrading would be kinda annoying. I just don't feel like paying for an internet connection just to be able to play games online... Not yet, at least ;)

I doubt that is the majority and more the minority. Most players on here I guess play with a pad.

I hope Sony keep their free to play online PSN for next generation too. It is ridiculous that Microsoft charge users to use a P2P service that is advertised while Sony do it for free without advertisements. I guess Microsoft use most of that money for timed exclusivity but that is just my opinion.

I totally disagree. There has not been ONE time I am on a PS3 and am thinking to be any less competative because I am not paying for a P2P.

And not to burst your bubble again, but PC's have been playing this way for years before. Ever played Counter Strike? Ever played Unreal Tourny?

This has to be one of the most silly statements on XBox Live vs PSN I have ever heard....

Thing is for companies like EA it's not P2P. It's dedicated servers which EA can pull the plug at any time (and have... as early as 1 year post launch).
I don't get the paying LIVE fee is such a problem. It's cheap! Would rather not pay but that's not an option for me to get online with an xbox. I wouldn't doubt it by any means of PSN for next gen will start charging like MS does. Someone's got to pay for the network costs somehow.

You get what you pay for. Free is free for a reason. And they are actually charging for some PSN features online now. So its not so free anymore.

I still hope they show some sort of weather with F4. Its the one feature I truly wish this series had. Just use the effects from PGR4, Dirt 3, or F1 2010. I just dont think its going to happen.

480€ a year vs. 60€ a year is a bit of a diffference, no? ;)

At least not from what I've read in these threads. Dunno about any "silent majority" or anything.

Maybe they're investing in security? I heard PSN had a few issues with that ealier this year. :dopey:

Xbox Live dosent have advertisements, they have one little box that is filled with an ad, but it's usually funny so Its a trade off.
XBL is better for certain games because of the party chat so that makes Battlefield, Black Ops, MW2, etc, etc all better because you can talk to your team mates pretty much throughout the game. Also if I want to keep playing Forza, while my friend plays Halo Reach we can still talk.
I hope this dosent turn into a flame war.

PSN is good for single player games. GT5, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc
But even still on xbox i can play a single player and still talk to my friends.

Actually the PSN is still free. You can CHOOSE to pay for features, but to play online, access the net, messages, friends, etc. etc. is still very much free. And for a free service, it is top notch.

Weather effects, I agree, would be nice, but please dont take it from Dirt3! F1 2010 had very cool rain effects, but D3 was pretty awful. Night racing in S2 is so well done, I wouldnt mind to see that either.

If PSN had cross game chat, it would be so damn awesome. Thats the only thing I do miss.

Why is PSN only good for single player games? I use my bluetooth to chat with buddies while we play Red Dead, or S2, or, anything else that is multiplayer.

Now thinking that statement was stupid.I meant to say Xbox Live is better for single players, sorry.
