Hell Yes! Finally, we can see the inside of the car from 3rd person perspective. Awesome.

I see the PS3 dropped by 50 bucks today. I wonder if the 360 will follow suit. Will make that 3 screen setup for Forza even more tempting.

So the build looks the same as the E3 one since the game already has better looking drivers grip........Great.

I have the same idea, my bonus this year will either go into a 40"+ 3D TV or a triple screen setup.

Cant wait to play FM 4 tomorrow at Gamescom. :nervous:

Guys, check this Video out. They used simulation steering and all assists off. AI and physics look really really great!

OMG, looks freakin' awesome :dopey:

I'm not so sure. I mean that three-screen setup and motion simulator is awesome, but the cars look very floaty. Perhaps it's because the game doesn't show you the control inputs, so it's hard to correlate the on-screen action with the player's input.

It looks very pretty, but the textures on the Nürburgring are odd. They seem grainy and obviously tiling, which is a shame. They don't really tie into the whole scene properly, and seem to be lit differently to the cars, as well. It'd be nice to get some captured footage instead of off-screen stuff, but we'll have to wait until release, probably.

I wish Turn10 would use the tighter configuration of the NGK chicane at Nurburgring GP (as in GT5). Otherwise looking great.

I am completely impressed each day as I see all this real time footage with real people playing the game.

Great fun watching him tip toe around the 599, the technical ceiling seem much more promising. And the grip level shown in the M5 video is also an improvement.

Is it me, or does NB seem off in that video...especially the first second corner (first hairpin.) In every other game I've raced it, the track goes downhill and then turns does that crazy tight hairpin. In that video that track seems flat before the hairpin and the hairpin doesn't seem as insane as it should be. Kinda like they tamed the track or something.

On the plus side, everything else looks awesome! 👍

I've driven this track in both GT5 and FM3 alot. They pretty much seem the same. The hairpin is definitely crazy in that section. Don't let the video fool you. You have to really break it way down to make that turn.

Gamescom interview with Dan Greenwalt... in French..

Interview With Dan Gamescom

google translator:

Quote:
Gamescom 2011 : Parlons de Forza 4 avec Dan Greenawalt

My little interview with Dan Greenawalt ended a few minutes and then I come back to you to share the highlights. For the record, I dug up a plan of hell to be quiet: a press room to myself ... there are indeed two press centers in Gamescom, but this close to the main entrance is obviously busy, wired connections are under attack and struggling to keep WiFi. The other is strangely empty, which allows me to do my review in silent wonder. I stop to tell my life, you are certainly more interested in my meeting with Dan. Know that I threatened and told that you torture me if I did not get all the answers, but he was ruthless ...

Forza Motorsport 4 offer he races at night? No communication is over for now Dan Greenawalt told me. However, the races will have lighting conditions pre-established, it will be possible to run in the morning, in full afternoon or dusk, as we have discovered the screenshots of the Hockenheim circuit. However, these conditions are not dynamic, thus understand they will not change in the race. Exit therefore hopes for day / night cycles for the endurance races.

I immediately diverted to the weather, but I had to answer simple, if they were to be four variables in Forza Motorsport, they would be in any case not being tested. As for the rain, I tried to cheat by asking if there would be various types of gum, including rain tires, but if Dan has confirmed that there would actually several types of gum, he immediately added that He would not release at this time on the weather.

As for the tires, it will not explode, but you can wear them threadbare. As levels of players also since it will no longer 50, but 150 levels to pass. Turn 10 has indeed seen his copy, and drew on data from the multiplayer mode to establish a new scale of progression. According to Dan, to reach level 150, it would take 18 months so intense. Nothing was said, however, on what these levels would bring more.

When I asked if it would be possible to paint the windows of cars for Forza 4, I was told that the mode of painting new album is very similar to the previous ... Dan still has confirmed that players could import the layer groups realized in the third part to put on cars, 4. Finally, there will always be impossible to use graphics from a PC for use in the game short, all this may well look like Forza 3, as the management of pit stops.

As for the presence or absence of Porsche, you can not learn, the development studio did not want to communicate on the subject for now. There is always some hope, although I admit it hard to understand why Turn 10 would like to keep the mystery. After all, he'll have to tell us one day. Discussions are perhaps still ongoing with the current holder of the license?

Here's what I learned. You should know that our time was short and Dan tried to do the same format as the videos you've ever seen. You can imagine that I took advantage of any opening to put a question. I did not get to interview face to face. Anyway, I certainly had exactly the same answers. Anyway, it made me severely pleasure of meeting him, I even got to shake his hand! Now, I rush to Microsoft event this evening, hoping to glean a few more juicy info!

FM3 vs FM4 Head to Head Nurb GP

Loving the flames out of the black GTO at around :55

Heh, no crowds and sidetrack cars in FM4...
At least no cupboard figures will spoil the photomode like in GT5

150 levels? Nice! I found the fifty from FM3 to be, well, not enough

It's just numbers... They could have restructured it all to give the same depth, but obviously they're going to go for a bigger number. Bigger is better, right? Right.

I dont think they would have just split the old 50 level by three to get 150..

I cant be dissapointed by not having any crowds at the tracks..

More smoke, new cars, new tracks, more community elements; FM4 is going to be a treat!

EDIT: I noticed in the vid above that they have also added the things that say how well you took a corner and how big your drift was, like in Shift.

Well, even if they just adjustest the 150 levels to last about as long as the fifty in FM3 did, that's at the very least another 100 gift cars

Do take into account this is unlikely the final build and the game has more optomisation to come. It may be the crowds are not on the tracks to ensure a smoother framerate for the build used.

Who knows maybe we will have practice sessions coming as well or free drive mode like GT5? These may not have the spectators of course while races would.

Guys, I am just back from Gamescom (I live just 20 km away) and can say that FM 4 is way better than I have expected. I went home with a feeling of happiness that I havent experienced with FM 3 at the 2009 Gamescom.

This game will be purely awesome. The driving experience is top notch and you really have to judge corners right, otherwise you will meet the wall. The new tyre physics are really realistic and when you go too fast there will be understeer and boy, I mean deadly understeer. The car feel more alive and the wheight feels perfectly now.

I did 2 laps at Bernes Alps with the Ferrari 599 GTO on the Fanatec G-Simulator with triple-screens. I have to say that I never saw a racing game more beautiful, flawless and well rounded than this. The backmirrors are awesome and very detailed, which have no competition in this genre. The Image Based Lighting is not just talking, when you experience it, you will see what its all about.

Everything from the force feedback, graphics, driving physics and presentation feel just really really good. There was no single drop in framerate and not a single sign of tearing.

Sounds great, jabofu. I'm stoked to get my hands on the game on Saturday!

Definetly try to go for a spin in the Fanatec Simulator! And dont get biased by the stupid gamestations with 26" Samsung HD-Ready monitors. Those looked so bad.

They really made a huge step forward in physics and you cant drive really mad like in GT5 or FM 3. Really hard to describe, but its more lifelike where you cant drive anytime with 100%. I used fully simulation and all assists off, I am in love...
