Hm, that does sound good indeed. Pushing a lap at 100% should be hard to achieve for the majority of people, let alone doing so on a few consecutive laps. You sure make it sound like FM4 isn't as forgiving at FM3 was at times.
"to reach level 150, it would take 18 months so intense"
Well, not sure what is longer than. Reaching level 150, or trying to finish the career 100%. Yikes.
That all sounds sensible. (I'm actually getting excited about the prospect of the next generation consoles, although my wallet is probably dreading it. My PC "needs" an upgrade, too. Gah, cursed hobbies.)
I'm looking forward to some more balanced feedback from these handses-ons.![]()
How was the feeling of the suspension and chassis ?Yes, you can read much excitement through it. But after I calmed down, my experience got backed up by other sources and players who went to gamescom. I have quite some experience in Forza, GT, Iracing and stuff. I only drive without aids and was stired by the perfection of FM 4.
Never the less, what I wrote is my opinion and I assure you that many felt the same. I am not so easily excited, but this was a different experience. Maybe also pushed up by the letdown of GT5.

Edit : Nice impressions by the way. It's good to hear such positive feedback !
October can't come any soonerIt was really easy to mess up, but when you know how to handle a car and its movements you could predict them and use your knowledge and technique. Otherwise, when you dont concentrate and dont understand how to use techniques, you fail and mess up big time.
Especially when you went over a jump or the curbs it felt just... spot on.
The suspension felt very good. Not as stiff or wobly than FM 3 (hard to explain).
I drove the Ferrari and saw many sessions of the Subaru, so from my experience and other players, the cars tend to understeer more than before. Kind of the direction that GT5 goes, but it felt way different than GT5, actually more naturally.

Especially when you went over a jump or the curbs it felt just... spot on. I drove over some real Nordschleife curbs in my car and can say that the curbs in game feel identically with the force feedback. I think that shows a more direct feel of the suspension and mostly become a benefit for setting up the suspensions later.
But to go in further, I havent had enough seat time to judge.

I actually meant more of the same, so yeah, thanks. 👍
Please tell us you at least took some pictures of your Epic experience! BTW, how were loading times compared to FM3?

Thanks for your report man...
Can you give any information on how the Fanatec wheel felt?
Also what about the triple screen experience?
jabofu: Please, if you could, take the time to re-read my posts. I am thanking you for sharing your experience, and look forward to reading more of the same.
Danke für Ihren Gedanken; würde gern noch mehr von solchen Erfahrungen hören.
No worries, man, I could have been clearer, I'm sure. And thanks again 👍
Damn, that black M3 is so ... unreal.
I want the game.
Now.
You mean, on my 1080p projector ?You will be shocked when you see it on your own tv screen.
The fanatec wheel, I think it was the CSR with the metal mechanics, you could look from above how it works through a glas/plastic hood. It was the fastest moving wheel I ever experienced. I drove with the 599 GTO and had a crazy time, I think I worked on it like a gocart wheel. It was very sturdy and very grippy, which doesnt come to mind when you see the materials. The stick that replaces the digital direction button worked really good. Normally those sticks feel cheap and weak, but not this, it worked like a charm to dissarm all the assists.
It was very precise and surdy. There was no feel like a mechanic or something, it felt like you would turn in a real car, without mechanical interuptions or slip. The force feedback worked very direct, more direct than my turbo s, which could be caused by the better wheel or the change in FM4. On the left and right where your hands suppose to be are some little alcantara parts for more grip. The wheel looked very racy and pure, but I dont think that the buttons are as intuitive to find on the fly as at the Porsche wheels.
The metal shifters were great. I would say that they are better than the ones on the G27. More sturdy and direct feel. Between the wheel base and the wheel is more room for the shifter paddles which helps it a lot. Many wheels use less room there and then the shifter doesnt feel right.
The pedals were clubsport pedals, which I own too, so they were great.
The best of the setup was the g-simulator. If I could afford it, it would be a nobrainer. It felt very real and I am still puzzled on how something like this workes. Especially in long corners it went really hard sideways and in this way you felt the Gs. I wonder what happens, if you would be in there when somebody hit you with a Bugatti thats going 400 kmh.
