I was expecting a bit more out of Gamescon but I think Hockenheim track + (granted it happened earlier) ALMS sponsorship announcement were the bigger reveals. I thought if there's no supposed Porsche anti-promo thing in place that we'd hear, in Germany, that the brand will be in FM4 but if this anti-promo thing is in place it'd make sense why they couldn't announce something.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a no show by MS/T10 at TGS since the xbox is practically dead over there.
I always race with ABS off. You just need to make adjustments in the braking tuning section and although you can still lock up the tires I brake a lot better without ABS on. At least I think I do!
Yeah, it's no big deal... I just usually don't use driving aids, but with a setup I'm not used to, it wouldn't have gone too well
If you're tuning the brake preassure and brake bias properly, that'll improve the stopping distance a bit and shave a few tenths off of a lap here and there, yeah. It's always a good idea to learn to drive without ABS if the games allows you to do so without too much hassle 👍
You will actually find that using ABS in real life racing has become an advantage (lots of variables though), so it really depends on how you want to use it. Generally, if the car has it factory, and I am racing the car untuned (basically OEM), I leave ABS on as intended. If the car is factory without ABS, I have ABS off. If it's a street car that is modified and tuned, I turn the ABS off.
