Explain to me what the point of this is. The independent is not really independent, if he is in some way affiliated with a team and the team can't use the independent (or it's unfair to 2-car teams). All it does is hog another one of the same car type and make the impression that they would act under team orders, if necessary, which, again, is not exactly fair.

An independent can still fill in as a substitute for a team, even changing the car for those races. They don't need to be the third car in a 2-car team.

I think it's like how motorbase and amd are so the main team provides assistance with set ups etc but don't run as part of the team therefore no team orders.

So for example yous run the skyline if you provide help to Chris then he could be a satellite as you guys give him help on set ups round by round but he's still on his own.
 
^ I like that idea. It means its possible for a team to win the teams and independents title :D

It can work both ways for example with team dynamics and pirtek.

That was just an example.

WSC Season preview is nearly done, RPM's major announcement concerning multiple series is Saturday (around 9/10pm), and the Roar for WSC is sunday night.

Aww I'm missing that as I'll be doing a 3 hour Silverstone race(may be wet!) at that time.
 
Future question time! Will prototypes ever leave WSC?

For the record I'm not against them. Simply curious about the plans.

Back in the third season of ToCA, Furinkazen created a team called "Mulsanne Race Tech" or MRT. This was one of the first teams in what was the first ToCA championship using production based vehicles. Driving Volvo C30s, Furi and teammate @Akmuq started what would turn out be a GTP racing dynasty. MRT went through several name changes and for over a year has been called "RPM", and expanded into a variety of differing series. NASCAR Truck Series, GTE endurance racing, ToCA support events in Porsche Carrera's and Renault Clio Cup and most recently campaigns in FRL Indycar and RACE ITCC series.

However our home has always been in ToCA, and ToCA12 will symoblise the outfits 10th season in the series. For the 10th season onwards we are altering our name, for a more "sensible" name. Team RPM will be known as "FURI AUTOSPORTS" or "FAS" for short. Credit to our long time team member and friend @FlyingFox for the logo design.

For the 12th season of ToCA, we are also linking up with an old name, as we can confirm our organisation is a fully fledged works outfit with Volvo, who return after a four season absence with the S60 T-Sport.

@Furinkazen will be joined by the returning @Ninners and @DrifterJoe. However, in a change of organisation, Furi's entry will no longer be scoring points for the team, but rather competing as a Jack Sears trophy-category Independent. The two other cars will score points for FAS. It also worth nothing that there will still be a Volvo or two available, as new ToCA rules for season 12 prohibit the 4 car super teams of the past two seasons.

Furi is also returning to a series that has fond memories for him. In the earliest days of the team, he ran a Lexus ISF in @V8-Johnboy and @Gedi69 dual-hosted BST V-Spec Challenge, winning it's inaugural race. Like ToCA, this series has flourished and for the newest season of that, FAS will be running two Lexus ISF's. Furi's entry is pencilled in for at least 85% of the events and a second car will be driven by former NASCAR Truck Series driver @chrisjohnson93 .

So new name, mixture of old and new faces but with a renewed urge to win. Furi is ready to step up to the challenges ahead with the renewed Team FAS.

Akmuq was a solo white car if I recall, but he did run a Lexus. He was better on set ups so prevailed over the season.
