Uhm.. What? You saw an update from Top Gear, so whatever it was about is now going to be in an update for GT5? Please explain this to me..

Since FT-86 II is still not release. If Toyota is using GT5 to promoting FT-86, there have reason about that.

That's the FT-86, not the GT-86.

TCSdisable just supposes...
There's a competition for japanese player involve the FT 86 concept.
http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/news/d15417.html

And Kaz recently talk about update coming this christmas.
https://www.gtplanet.net/next-gran-turismo-5-update-coming-near-christmas/

So....

Again, that is about the FT-86, not the GT-86.

I really doubt that because it is a Toyota and has a similar name and styling to the FT-86 that it's going to be in GT5.

That was just a supposition !

And why Gran Turismo organize competition with the FT 86 rigth now ! At the same time with the presentation of the GT 86.
In the past before the release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, there was a demo call "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue "demo"" The GTR and the new Impreza WRX STI was unlock just after the presentation at the tokyo auto salon.

Only for japan

Supposition dude. don't take that like a conclusion...

Well, proof with PD is something very difficult ! Just ask people here who waited Gran Turismo 5 more than 3 years ! They just talked about supposition

I bet we'll see this car in the next update or DLC.
If I'm wrong I will ... buy the next DLC even without this GT-86 :sly:

The FT-86 was a fantastic looking car which was full of promise with it's Subaru engineering and Toyota reliability. However, being a Toyota it was never going to make production with such modern and sporty styling as Toyota is a hopelessly boring company which is devoid of any spirit nowadays.

I am confident in the GT-86 being a dynamically capable car, thanks to Subaru, but from an aesthetics point it is a crushing disappointment. Toyota has no brand identity whereas the Subaru BRZ is unmistakably a Subaru. Perhaps a TRD or RS version will bring some aggression from the concept.

Just so everyone in here knows that hasn't been to the official thread in the "Auto News" section:

GT-86 = European model
86 = Japanese model (yes..just "86")

America will most likely get a Scion version, yet to be named.

Well known... FT-86 is successor of AE-86

The only things they have in common are RWD and 4 cylinder engines.

The GT-86/FR-S/BRZ is not lightweight or inexpensive.

For the $25k+ these things are going to start at, it's already outclassed. At least Subaru is going to offer a turbo version, but that'll probably be north of $30k.

Yes! Another Japanese car that already has several variants in game! It looks just like a datsun 350Z too.

At least it's not FF or AWD i suppose that's something.
