I finished up the 3rd season. All I can say is Episode 9 of season 3 "The Rains of Castamere" aka "The red wedding" was...just...dang... I sat for at least 5-10 minutes trying not to cry. Just wow that episode crushed me. :(:guilty:

Oh man, the Red Wedding was like.... I would never expect something like that! I couldn't believe my eyes.

That trial! Awesome!

Honestly, I should have expected Tyrion to demand a trail by combat after what happened during the Jon Arryn murder trial. Him staring down his father afterwards was perfect too.

I just started watching season 4 last night and made it to the "Purple wedding". Whoa the one part made me so happy :D and also a little at the VERY end...:scared:
Really love this show so much.

Never heard the rhyme, "four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie?" Apparently that sort of thing was a medieval tradition amongst the nobility for a while.

You will love Tyrion in the coming episodes...

That episode (Ep. 6) was fantastic.

***BRACE YOURSELVES, SPOILERS ARE COMING***
The only bit of the episode I was a little let down by was the aborted rescue of Theon. Yara has this big speech about what it means to be Ironborn, and then runs away with her tail between her legs. On the other hand, she knows to retreat when things look hopeless - why else would she say "my brother's dead" upon returning to her boat? She's aware of what happened to Theon and his men when Winterfell...well, fell to the Boltons.

Someone hand Peter Dinklage another Emmy, his speech was amazing. You could hear the anger just tearing at his voice.,

@DK I still don't get how Yara didn't knock out her brother to stop him from struggling. Then order her men to put a hole through Ramsey after they'd already killed most of his immediate forces. It's not as if Ramsey acted quickly to release the hounds, was it? But so much for travelling to the other side of Westeros just to be sent packing like that.

Thankfully, Peter's speech overshadowed any issues I had with that episode.

At that point, the alarm in the castle had already been raised. The only advantage Yara had was the element of surprise. Sure, she could have killed Ramsey easily, but that would have made escaping harder as that would take precious seconds to do. Seeing Theon made her all too aware of what could happen if she failed to escape.

Note to self: Don't go bungee jumping with Lord Baelish. I laughed like an evil genius.

I am also finally all caught up on all the episodes of this show.

I agree about Peter Dinklage. Amazing speech and I knew something like that was going to happen.

After Tyrion told Shae to leave (for her own good but she didnt know) I knew something bad would happen. However, I actually thought Shae was going to eventually come back and kill Sansa. So it didn't turn out quite as bad as I predicted. Still sad though. I really liked their relationship and its heartbreaking to see her betray Tyrion. Poor little guy.

Going to catch up on last nights episode soon, those savages better leave tyrion alone :scared: I hope he will get his cool as a cucumber bodyguard to do his fighting for him 💡

Best! Episode! Ever! Just like all the other episodes.

Indeed. As the writers, actors, directors and producers become more experienced, they do deliver a more polished performance. This is simply the greatest show ever on TV. Martin's original source material keeps on giving.

Petyr really knows how to make the women scream.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I watched EP7 last night. Loved it! The entire episode was excellent. Especially the speech in the jail with Peter Dinklage. Very emotional and epic.

Does anyone know why it's not on this Monday? A 1 week wait between episodes is bad enough, let alone 2.

It's Memorial Day. Last year, HBO showed an episode on that Sunday and it turned out to have the lowest ratings of that season. Ironically enough, it was the "Blackwater" episode. HBO has learned their lesson.
