I think that if we're marking the 30th anniversary year of 1997-1998, doing it based on something from 2004 (and something in the game, not really on it) is odd.

And since we've already got the parts for our grey PlayStation 30th anniversary controllers, how about:

I am tempted to buy it, but it's not a must...
Only to collect it...
I wouldn't use it since I usually just drive with the wheel and VR2

This would just gather dust...

My oG controller still works fine... No drift
For the life of me, I can't drift no matter what

But my Nintendo switch controllers do drift....

2nd one is very neat, I'll go with that.....

I pooped on it for that nurb map on the touchpad.

The nurb map is like... i dunno. Support the troops stickers.

It just gets annoying seeing it everywhere, and I assume its used by people who really just try to pass through as 30+yo racebois.
I scrolled past too quick and thought he was just leaning into the French colors joke by sticking an outline of France on there.

I would definitely have a serious case of FOMO if that first design was as actually what was being released.

Really is interesting referencing GT4. The Spec IV Part 1 & 2 have cars from GT4. Is it that many consider GT4 the best Gran Turismo? Sure is an awesome game from interactive track avatars to the track list to the various tests and the car list.

Wouldn’t PD just make a silent update to the liveries like they did with the Gr.4 Mazda 3?
Even so, it's something we don't have now. :)

Fugly as can be, but I still will buy it.

Even when the PS5 controller sticks are prone to stick drift. I have had two controllers with the issue within a year. Since I always play with controller have replaced the sticks with TMR ones which was worth the money.

Will buy it more as a collector item, since I already have the GT branded PSP and PS4 controller.

Also in a way to support Polyphony. If you look at the time I spend on the games since 1998 and the continuous free updates for GT7, it is a small price per hour enjoying the game.

Funny calling it a Dualsense controller when the design shows no sense of style whatsoever...:yuck:

I'm pretty sure there's now more special edition controllers than exclusive games for the PS5.

We're doing DualSense edits now?

Not exactly 30th Anniversary material, but its something with a different color palette?
In spanish speaking comunity we have lore in relation with GT Auto, the mechanic that appeared in GT4 and 5 working on the car when you made something in GT Auto we call him Pepe (a affectionate way for whom has "Jose" as name) and the lore related with GT Auto in GT7 is that he has been promoted to CEO or a similar position and thats why we dont watch him working. xD

In Spain I think that it'll cost 85 euros and I'll buy it if I have the opportunity

I was already hoping for a GT7-themed DualSense back for the 25th anniversary. In my opinion, the only really cool ones so far have been the 30th Anniversary and Astro Bot DualSense controllers.

Did they nail this one? No.
Do I still want it? Absolutely! :D

Those don’t look too bad either. I think maybe seeing black and white made me think NOT GT7 or Gran Turismo in general because I’ve always associated the game with the colours.

Got tired of prompting AI yesterday for this one. It went dumb when I tried to tell it to do too much and kept moving or changing things I told it to leave alone lol

**Probably my should have flipped the red and blue to each others sides to fit with Gran Turismo theme

Anyway, I don’t mind the new controller, won’t be buying it. I’d buy it if it was regular price and I needed a new controller. If it had a little more colour to it, I’d maybe buy just because.

The simplified logo/wordmark looked too busy on the touchpad:

Doesn’t look that bad to me and probably only took five seconds. They probably had a team working on the new one for a few months.
Absolutely. Everything goes through a committee, and it has to align with the product precedence. I think people are being overly harsh. It looks like the Ford GT and I'm ok with that. I like the carbon and I like the matte black underbelly with the 30th anniversary call out.

It's also in keeping with the other special pads.

This is the Marathon pad.

Yes, I would have liked something more extreme like Ghost of Yotei got, but we got the carbon lower so, it is more than most.

GoW has the worst.

I didn't make that BTW. That is the actual controller from Sony.

Yeah I get why it looks the way that it does. I shouldn’t care anyway, won’t be buying it. Yep that GoW is horrendous, it looks like a defect. The marathon one looks ok I guess. Sony should give users a free controller livery editor like we have for cars in GT7 haha. Imagine if you could make one and have it printed for $200. Probably cost them more to do a single order though.

Something like this?

Don't like promoting anything to do with Microsoft but this is actually good.

Yeah, exactly like that. Even having the option to just choose different colours. And the price is fair too. That’s crazy PlayStation doesn’t have this.

Why the old Peugeot slogan?
View attachment 1571644
It's an alternative slogan for GT4. You'll find it on the back of the box in some regions, the front in others.

GTPlanet
Opposite that is GT4’s alternative slogan, “The Drive of Your Life” (an earlier Peugeot advertising slogan in the UK), rather than the traditional “The Real Driving Simulator” from across the series.

Honestly I don’t hate the controller. Makes sense to reference GT4 considering how highly regarded it is. I need a new controller anyways.

I have to admit I am glad nobody likes this. I really like it for some reason, so I actually might have a chance of getting one!
Same haha. I actually like it but art is subjective so 🤷
