We have a winner. That's exactly what I said. I expect serious talk/rumors of a GT6 to begin in 2012 when our GT5 passion fades (though it'll be minimal to non-existent due to the sheer size of this game :))

Hahaha! This very discussion proved you wrong :) The talk has already begun! Seriously, can´t we wait for GT5 to get boring first?
Oh, and are the next gen concoles really due for 2012? I expect the PS3 to last longer than that TBH.

A bunch of Killzone 3 stuff leaked out yesterday like scans and a screen and it's no secret Sony is a leaky ship. I wouldn't be surprised if a GT5 magazine preview of some sorts leaks out prior to E3.

Must be patient... :nervous:

there wont be any leaking things before e3..PD works at AREA 51.

Cool news about KZ3

Id bet thats going to be a 3DTV title as well
Sony only showed KZ2 in video form in 3D and wasnt playable like GT5.

I didn't say it would be out for next gen consoles. :) You thought that on your own.

GT6 would likely be on the PS3.

Again, serious talk.

Yea, even the aliens are complaining!

About what? The game not being released quickly enough or their version lacking reverse lights on the UFO's and 2D meteorites.....;)

They just want a little sneak peak, but they're like us. Waiting impatiently with much anticipation.

Oh, and they also saw the ending to "Independence Day".
:)👍

Well in that case, they'll never be happy

Lets just hope they aren't caught up watching V... :scared:

Closer and closer we get.......
Soon be only 3 weeks

Yey! only 23 days left...

(Fully expect a moderator bashing)

I'm not saying this is an official game release date... but...

My long standing pre-order at Gameplay.co.uk has gone from having an expected release date of 30-Sep-2010 to actually displaying a delivery date of 28-Jul-2010

Ooo Errr!!!

Soon it will be over and no new news about GT5.

Well I am pretty confident we will get the release date!

GT5 is confirmed to be one of the main titles they present, so even if we won't get a releasedate, we will get news.

So, either:

1. You fear being scarred again by Sony (so you act tough).

2. You're really pessimistic and have little hope.

3. Trolling is your middle name. And your first name. And your last name.

Which one is you? Or all three?👍:dunce:

Haha, well that's it then, just in time for the summer holidays for all you kiddies out there! ;)

The plot thickens...

Didn't GT3 ( the first new GT on a new console ) release during summer? June/July in Europe I think and April in Japan.....doesn't necessarily mean anything though, just putting it out there a summer release isn't impossible marketing-wise or even historically....:)

Soon we'll have GT5 and we'll be stuck waiting for GT6... :indiff:

By the way, I agree that a summer release, even a mid-summer release, isn't out of the question. Fingers crossed...

World Wide Please!!

Ok, thats one order of "World Wide". Would you also like an Apple Pie with that?

As I posted before, I think a worldwide release is very likely. SONY/PD have had so many years to work on the manual and translation, music licensing and localizations per region, that it should be ready for release around the globe from day one, or darn close to it. The only things I can think of to delay it would be a hitch because of some last minute inclusion or feature, and because massive demand would mean a staggered release in order to make sure enough copies were available for sale in high selling regions like Europe, America and Japan.

All you have to do is look at recent "Sony In House Studio Releases"
It seems gone are the days of 1-3 month delays for regions.

Maybe look into releases for:
GOW 3 / Killzone 2 / Little Big Planet / Resustance 2 / Modnation Racers / Eye Pet
I dont see why GT5 has to be different or does it?

Consider this again:
Sony 3DTV = Worldwide Hardware Release in June & July
E3 = Worldwide Announcement / Showcase
World Cup = Worldwide Advertising Possibility
GT5 = Worldwide Release After All Above

It seems "Summer" is ideal time to release.

3DTV promotions aside their are other games to fill the Winter sales period: Little Big Planet 2 / Killzone 3 and Move. Plus other stuff we dont yet know of. It would also give the hardware sales a boost in the usually slower Summer months.

One thing that also has to be considered is that right now the ps3 (from what I have read online) is getting harder to find with stores not being able to keep them on the shelf due to hardware shortages from all the people now buying the ps3.

If it were to release in the summer and there wasn't enough ps3's to go around then that might cause a uproar.
