If gt5`s date is pushed back any further , im `gonna go out and by a 360 pro with forza 3 and pgr4 with a 1 year xbl card , I mean come on i been waiting 4 ####### years! some of you have been waiting 5 , i have left school and gotten a job , bought a flat and gotten a car in that time . And in the time in between gt4 and gt5 we have gotten.

Dude, if you want to buy a new console, just do it. Seems like you're not lacking money or even time to enjoy other games, so my question is: Why you just buy the bloody XBOX and be satisfied?

Or just buy an X-box to bridge the gap if you can't wait, people making obvious statements saying they're getting tired of waiting ( duh! we all are ) is getting tiresome to read...............:indiff:

Same` i know loads of people that have forza , But the thing is if gt5 will not be released by late 2011, then it might be worth getting a preowned arcade and a used forza 3 ..But if gt5 is released this year then theres no point .... Anyway that will not likely happen because gt5`s on sony`s e3 list and there have been a dozen hint`s so i hope i will be playing a 458 italia round the high speed ring very soon:).

Just noticed the thread title has changed to "...A Storm. It's Brewing"

which brought up fond memories of banned Mr. Gran Turismo 5, with his "If news be waves, prepare for a tsunami." 'n stuff.

None of those offer the Visuals & Simulation of GT5. None of them...

GT5 isn't just Forza3 on the PS3. As if they are interchangeable. Neither is Ferrari challenge.

People wait for GT because its actually different than anything you can buy on PC or consoles.

Fact is this, if GT comes out in 2012, you're buying it.

GT is like car porn. If you love cars, theres really 1 place that replicates them well, and thats GT.

I was one of those impatient gits who jumped ship and switched to a 360 for Forza 3.

I soon came back with my tail between my legs after falling for Turn 10's bullsheet. I have friends that did the same and they are now back to waiting for GT5.

There is no substitute. You just have to wait for it.

True that. I was also very naughty xD, was about to buy a crap box with Forza 3, but didn't do it in the end. 2 months back or so I finally played the game, at my pal's house and was pretty disappointed. Graphics are nice and there is no doubt that the physics aren't too bad but compared to GT...well there's just no way Forza can hold a candle to GT.
 
I like forza and race pro physics are good. Sahame it's buggy. Dirt 2 has good physics but the tracks soon repeat. Dirt 1 has better tracks but wheel input isn't up to much. Shift is rubbish though. Sbk is an aquired taste.

Plenty to keep me going I suppose.
 
Everyone claims nothing, esp. Forza, comes close to GT5. But, if there's 1 thing Forza can at least match, it's the number of brainless drones who continuously believe their game is above all, despite that they have never played it.

Its not about being patient for the game, its the strange need of him (and some others) to broadcast this as if everyone's life will be affected by it. Surely if he wanted the world to know, he could have just called up Fox News or Reuters TV. I'm just tired of hearing the same thing over and over, a broken record that won't stop.

That's very true. Meanwhile, some of us have given MS 3 chances to produce a stellar product as advertised, and resisted sending a smashed something-or-other via registered mail to Redmond to show our level of support. ;)

Agreed. Personally I've purchased two (yes dammit 2) 360consoles, then every racing game they had, PGR1 PGR2, fizzle1 and fizzle2, etc..... Couldn't bring myself to buy fizzle3. You forza guys can keep it. Then after the second RROD, I had enough.

Went back to my PS2 slim and GT4. Happily ever after......👍👍

Still enjoying my PS3 fatty (40g or 60g can't remember) I bought 3 years ago and sometimes get a good race online, if I can be pulled away from my current A-spec quest.

I like to consider myself open minded and sure I have opinions, but that's the best thing about opinions....they can be changed or altered with sufficient information and evidence. Simple fact of the matter is neither has been presented. GT is the king until PROVEN OTHERWISE.

Just joking, I don't care either way. You couldn't pay me to be a "fan boy".


But, I'll try and redirect the conversation by re-posting my E3 predictions. They are from may 18th.

General E3 Predictions:
1. The E3 2010 trailer will show a ton of the classic GT tracks and the E3 demo will feature many of these as driving options, too.
2. We will get a release date, which will hopefully be in July, but probably in Sept/Oct.
3. It will be a worldwide release.
4. We will finally receive clarification regarding the number of tracks, differences between premium and standard cars, full explanation of weather, and what tracks will have night/day racing.
5. Car customization (parts) will blow people's minds, but the game will feature a very limited/non existent livery.

Bold Prediction:
1. Track editor does exist and is used to create point to point rally tracks.

I will have to say that Fizzle 1 was a pretty wretched game. Just getting started with it, and being the first game to get me to buy an XBox, I was pretty angry with it. I forced myself to tough it out and finally came to terms with it, but the bot AI was horrible, and having no FFB made racing the Porsches a major PITA. Well, generally it was a PITA. I retried it last year when my bro wanted some help with a certain part, and it was deja vu all over again as to why I hated it from the start. And don't get me started on PGR. Anyhow...

I'm hopeful that GT5 will have ALL the tracks from the past games. I want to revisit Grindelwald and Red Rock Valley without having to dig up GT2 and my copy of Bleemcast. Seeing them in HD would be such a thrill, and exploring them with all these sports cars with the new physics... heaven.

I do want to revisit GT2 and 3 at some point, and with this being a holiday weekend in the States, if I don't get wrapped up in composing and writing... maybe...
 
Go into a Forza thread or forums and mention GT5 what response will you get? So why are we going to talk about Forza here or indeed X360.

Sony seem to have LOADS of exciting stuff happening for E3 this year.
Read just yesterday more of this new "Premium" service they will be having alongside the current free service for PSN. Has anyone any clue as to what its going to offer?

Will GT5 incorporate "Home"?
What Happened to talk of "Car Clubs" and creating your own "Virtual Club House" in Home?
