I'm ready for a car list. After seeing GT PSP's car list, (which is pretty dull), it got me wanting to know which cars are in GT5. Specifically, I am excited to see the newest rides and manufacturers, and the rides carried over from GT4.

^^ Same here. 👍

Well, to be frank, I would love to see all GT4 cars remodeled as GT5 versions, and I would like to see the inclusion of iconic GT4 cars in the GT5 pods, of course there will be a new demo on the show floor, so why not a demo featuring a Spyker C8 or a Ginetta G4?

It would recall the GT essence, and make the fans feel "at home".

Does anyone have a link to a live video feed of the Sony Press Conference?(I know its too soon but its better to prepare now than worry the last 2 days)

You do not have to worry.
There will be a link Posted on the SONY blog webiste.
I think last time they have used Ustream website , it ran very smooth.
Also G4 TV and I think GT TV will have live feeds.

But to give you a direct link right now, I don't think there is one.

I think you will have to wait 24 hours before E3 Sony Conference

Ya, you won't find a link for one yet. They won't show up until just before E3 starts.

I also find gamespot has had the best stream for most conferences.

Support you, Tokyodrift. As you are still young, there are a lot of chances for you to earn money. I remember, when I was young, I just used a PS1 controller to play GT2. I'm sure that you will be able to buy a wheel. Don't be angry or unhappy. They just don't understand.
Hee hee, thanks! However, you misunderstand - I play with a pad because it's what I prefer in my current all-purpose office/media/gaming room. If/when space permits (i.e. when our extension is built) I'll look at a more dedicated racing rig with wheel etc. I've tried a wheelstand and just didn't find the seating arrangements suited it.

Spoken even as it were by mere gamepad player, I find your commentary "spot-on" TD. ;)
Well, I do try to be as balanced and diplomatic as I can be, despite being a mere pad racer!

As TD obviously did, I found your comment toward game pad players particularly arrogant, premature, and downright below the GTP standard.

Just employing a steering wheel won't inadvertently make you a better driver any more than a racing suit or a helmet would.

From all appearances it won't make you a better driver in negotiating forum etiquette either.
Well, his comment about pad players was aimed squarely at me because of past encounters, and that, amongst other recent outbreaks has been reported and dealt with. Staying true to my coding roots, "ignore list = ignore list + 1" ;)

However, you are absolutely right about wheels not necessarily making you a better driver. I'm a classic case of somebody who really struggles with a wheel, certainly to start with. Sure, things improve with practice, but like I said, I'm a couch-potato gamer who likes the ease of racing with a pad, and if I can get consistently within 3 or 4 seconds of a time that tops the global leaderboard, I'm happy with that. All this theory of shaving a few 10ths here and a few 10ths there is wasted on me!

Bringing it somewhat back onto E3 topic, I can't believe it's pretty much only two weeks now until the big day! Only seems like yesterday that it was over a month. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it), I may have to travel to the far reaches of nowhere around that time, so I just hope I'm able to get a reasonable internet connection!

I am not traveling as well for E3, I am sticking with the Internet Live feed. Will save me a lot of hustle and headaches!

A shame they didn't even mention Gran Turismo 5 (watched it like 2 weeks ago).

I'm not sure if I like how silent it's been around here (not in the thread, per se, but in general about GT5.) Perhaps it's a good thing?

Yes I only noticed as I had linked before seeing it all, surprised me it wasnt even mentioned.
However I was trying to encourage people to create links on previews of the show as well as some are bound to cover GT.

btw I will not be commenting on ANYTHING that is NOT GT or E3 related as I am not going to be held accountable if this thread gets locked again. Anyone that wants to ask me anything regards the issue above can do so via PM. Im not out to offend anyone as the point I made was not ony about PAD usage players. With a PAD you cant get the full or same degree of feedback from the physics is all, yes people can be as fast thats not what was being discussed but personally since getting used to a wheel I find a PAD really dull. We were referring to simulation so sorry but a pad does not try to resemble driving a car so from a simulation aspect isnt ideal. The issue was TD has limited experience with GT5P as he confessed himself previoulsy and I dont recall him saying he owns FM3 so MY point was he was not in a position to question Raz or determine from first hand experience the real differences between each game so I questioned why he even made the point in doing so particulary as it was taking this thread off topic again....

A little more than 2 weeks waiting and a possible Le Mans surprise is what should make people hopeful and speculate about what GT5 news could bring although speculating is just speculating ofcourse.
At least we can all share our thoughts free of charge and have different opinions we're all entitled to have.

Not being accused of being crummy for using a pad or thinking the be all and end all of a pleasing experience is having all the latest expensive hardware which we all, since apparantly being able to own a PS3, should therefore be able to easily purchase according to a certain coffee-related gentleman.

Let's think positive, just heard Peugeot is now sponsored by Sony instead of their X-Box sponsorship of the last years ( means chances are the new Peugeot works-cars are in GT5, hopefully alongside the similarly Diesel-powered Audi's ).:)

Slightly off topic... Actually no it isn't, lol, but did anyone follow E3 the last time? I was wondering how you rated subsequent E3 videos put on the PSN store. Also, where's GT tv? I thought the prologue channel had been axed till GT5.

Can't believe it's only two weeks till a possible release date for GT5 either. After all we've been through it seems almost surreal!

The drawback is ending and a tsunami is on the horizon. Only 2 more weeks!

Just coming in to say (with my first post) that I've been waiting for this game forever.

I played GT3 a little bit on a friend's PS when I was visiting and I fell in love. I finally bought a PS3 recently (my first console since N64) mainly to play GT5.

So excited to hear a release date. If there's a midnight launch, I'll be there, and I'll be taking the day off probably. It's gonna be epic. I've been waiting many years for this.

IGN does a live coverage for nintendo, microsoft, and Sony.. They have the times for each conference posted, and hopefully we will get to see Kaz talk about the game.

Just go to http://e3.ign.com/ .. They also have a Faq page which answered alot of questions I had myself.

I wonder do some people like Amar or Jordan know anything... Or is it really so that only PD and Sony knows anything...

It´s crazy that no single thing leaked about GT5, maybe there is nothing really something new that can leak? Or it´s the best safed secret in the world these days...

Welcome to GTP and join the club on the waiting forever part.

GT3 is the one that snagged me too. From your post it appears you may have skipped GT4. If so, you would certainly have a game there to occupy the wait.

There's a lot of info at GTP on all the GT series games

After the fiasco last year involving rumored info leading up to E3 and through the end of the year, I don't think they would say even if they did know anything. Can't say as I'd blame them either.

I was very surprised to see on Gamespot's Readers Choice voting for "most anticipated game at E3" GT5 was about fourteenth on the list and way behind many other games in the vote count. I thought it would have been much higher on the list.
I guess after five years, the gaming public at large has moved on.

Actually that was leaked before gamecom in August last year. prior to E3 we got word that GT PSP was coming and journalists were asked by Sony not to ask GT5 questions.

Maybe its just me, but I have a gut feeling that its more like "Best kept secrets". Most of their official announcements from the bombshell they first dropped about Daytona and the long awaited arrival of Ferrari to another stunning addition with Indianpolis as well as the surprise revealing of Lamborghini and Bugatti, have been surprises no one saw coming. Hell, how many of you can honestly say you knew they were gonna have all three configurations of the Nurburgring? How many people could say they knew WRC was going to come? All of these were complete surprises to everyone and now that this is supposedly the year that the wait is finally over, I get the feeling we will get a hell of alot more then we expected.

Yeah, I completely skipped GT4. I might buy it, but it's the summer right now. I should really be training for bicycle racing, not buying a great game.

I think I might just wait. Depends on the announcement we get shortly here. If they announce 2011, I might have to buy GT4. Still need to buy a wheel and such too.

Good grief yes, get GT4. It's still the grandest GT experience yet, for me anyway, and can keep you occupied until GT5 comes. TONS of cars and tracks. And then, the new physics in GT5 will be quite a surprise.

I don't expect any leaks, though I could be wrong. Besides, why do some of you want to spoil Christmas? ;)

Frankly, I love surprises and have learned to be patient. Time will fly, and before you know it, E3 and GT5's launch will be ancient history. Besides, to be a blowout and have everyone's strict and undivided attention, you can't let any news slip. On top of that, many surprises may not be grasped as to how cool they are until we get hold of them. Many of us wondered what the big deal was when Kaz introduced Photo Mode in GT5. Then we played with it and our eyes were opened.

As RACECAR says, and as Kaz mentioned a few times, everything in GT5 is going to be a surprise, and so far has been a surprise. You know, we're lucky to get the amazing news about the big Nurburgring complex early, and Kaz didn't have to reveal that yet. That was a month before E3, and you know that it's not the biggest news to be unveiled. So many things we don't know. As I mentioned a few times, we don't even know if there will be used cars again! So expect to have your eyes pop out at least once or twice. 👍

Gamespot is noted for being flooded with fans for a certain Box.

That's a bit rich... I was also unaware that actual ownership and hundreds of hours of experience were required to qualify in order to comment on something.

So, 2 weeks today! :) I just found out I will not be travelling that week now, so that's good news. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two small things "strategically" leak out before E3, but if Kaz is to be believed about him saying it's about as genre-defining as the original, who knows, anything could happen... I'm just hoping they show an Enzo and Veyron doing battle around Trial Mountain!

I hope we see a couple of cars from GT2.

I feel LFA finally appearing.

And a lot of SLS again. :grumpy:

Fourteen days and there we are, just two weeks from the most relevant event since the game started to be developed. PD has been quiet ultimately ( excepting for the 24h Nurb demo ), and that makes me happy, they're keeping ( or not ) the most valuable secrets for E3. Fingers crossed for the awaited media blowout.

Two weeks to go...feels a little surreal at the moment. None of my mates that want this game believe me that it'll be coming out soon...cynics :P

Can't wait to watch that release date announcement made; I imagine the crowd will go quite ballistic.

I will only go ballistic when I can finally shove the game in my PS3 and start racing. ;)

Too right mate, and I think that day will come a lot sooner than we all think. I have a strong feeling we'll have it real soon. E3 2010 is going to be big.. especially for GT5 as last year's was mostly based around GT PSP.

I'm excited. Only 2 weeks.👍:):)

I'm guessing we'll have it in our PS3's around between July - September ish.

Yeah no joke, gonna be so damn good. Gonna take a few days off work and just go nuts :D

Same here I'm planning on a two week holiday from work so I can play GT5 every day all day. My partner has been forewarned about my plans two years ago as we got together so she can't moan.
