14days to the hell....

for me there will be a ton of news....

Okay TD baiting for argument/continuation of off topic discussion noted and reported...
Do you want this thread closed again?

TD nobody said anything about hundreds of hours so stop making stuff up. Instead please read your PM as you have "all I need to say in that." I also offered/requested further discussion or issues people had with my comments to contact me via PM to keep this thread on topic. Each and everyone of them will get a personal reply and sensible discussion as yet nobody has except you TD to further argue.

Ive asked Mods to sort out our issue once and for all by recommending both you and I get a ban/suspension if in future we conduct further arguments or even reply to each other.

I want action taken on this to STOP threads being ruined for everyone else...
Sorry to others but 3 times I have now asked TD to ignore me which again he has failed to do.

Mods please take action for the sanity of everyone but please do not lock this thread again.

People should know PM by now.

14 days left, and we will see if we get absolutely nothing AKA "trailer" or...we finally get our answers, and thus will give me a reason to buy a PS3.

After 5+ long years of waiting with very little in the way of information I would expect this years E3 to be the major blowout ... unless they decide to save it all for TGS :\

Hey, at least we know we won't have to suffer with yet another Tokyo R246 demo .
Somehow I think Nurburgring won't get boring.

I want a fictional track to be the star of the demo at E3 2010. Trial Mountain, Deep Forest Raceway or even Apricot Hill Raceway.

Yes, i would really like to see Trial Mountain! But any other track is fine as long as they have other good stuff at E3. :)

Yep, I'll second that - has to be Trial Mountain FTW! :D

E3 is just around the corner. But, there have been no news on GT5 so far. I have a gut feeling that we should prepare psychologically that there is no or little disclosure for GT5 and no release date because E3 2010 will be like that of 2009. So sad!

Or, they are just doing a very good job of not doing a Microsoft, and leaking everything out in advance so that E3 feels like a washout. However, being prepared for the worst is not such a bad move!

I find is quite shocking that, Sony have leaks all over the place and yet with Polyphony, they never had any :P

Yeah Trial Mountain or El Capatain would be brilliant.

Or a proper Nascar race with the cars getting all smashed up as promised.

I second that, is like they sealed polyphony up so that no man could ever know what is really going on.

if they'll show something i think it will be nascar with some infos about damage ( nothing i care about)

Blowout at tgs imo.

However they only infos i care about are: cockpit for all cars, rain and Spa. Nothing else.

And Forza like Customization. :drool::drool:

Really not.. TGS would be to late, given al the signs...
Although you never can be sure with PD
A release date should definitely be given

Gamespot is noted for being flooded with fans for a certain Box.

Maybe so but the the top games are a pretty balanced mix of multi platform and varied single platform.

True few leaks come out from PD...

Looking at recent events Sony must have quite an epic show planned...

If they didnt then I find it strange why they already have released details of LBP2 and Killzone 3. Those are quite big announcements of their own.
GT5 as we know got confirmation of a whole new updated graphical "Ring" along with the various routes of the track with night races also being confirmed.

I think Sony are going to have one seriously good catalogue of games coming and with their new hardware offerings look to have the best line up for 2010/2011.
Even the teasing with "Man Furismo Jive" is further evidence that this is the E3 weve been waiting for.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I think we must take the "night races" with a grain of salt. It may end up like the IRL confirmation.

I can understand you not wanting to be let down with a shocker.
Although weve had proof of "night driving" in:

Citreon video / Various screenshots / Recent "night time" trailer footage.

So weve seen it within the game, thats a difference to a mis quote or poor translation. On top of that the Citreon trailler and assumed Top Gear track have shown what seemed like dusk time of day settings.
Same could be said for that new Toyota car trailer.

Is it then unwise to even hope that race events such as Nascar/Super GT/Rally /Leman/Nurburgring could feature night racing modes. It could be limited though to only being available to premium cars. We have however seen several cars in videos with working headlights. Many other games manage night driving and have done so for sometime.

Do Nascar run any floodlit night races?

That would be pretty cool.

Good grief yes, get GT4. It's still the grandest GT experience yet, for me anyway, and can keep you occupied until GT5 comes. TONS of cars and tracks. And then, the new physics in GT5 will be quite a surprise.

Wow, I didn't realize how long ago GT4 was released. I can't play it on my 120Gb PS3. Definitely not gonna buy a PS2 just to play GT4.

Guess I'll just be waiting. It'll make it that much more exciting.

Yes, quite a few. Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, Coke 600 runs into the night, there are others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Daytona 500 runs into the night. Sharpie 500 at Bristol. Both Richmond races to name a few others.
Nascars definately look best at night.

And Forza like Customization. :drool::drool:

I think this will be confirmed soon. Not sure about how: Either through a trailer or through a features list, but I expect livery customization of Forza's level (or maybe a bit less) to be included in GT5.

Agreed! Signs seem to be pointing favorably. My guess for a release month is September (middle to late).
E3=Sony AND TGS=PD. And in the end, it's about Sony, the boss.. I think the hype officially begins in 2 weeks.

It's no surprise that this will be the last E3 for GT5. Let us hope it goes out with a bang.👍:):)

Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte starts in the day and ends at night. That would be great.

Whoops saw the post above after I hit submit.

I will have to respectfully disagree. I think we will find out more at TGS than at E3. E3 is a storm of information. As much as we may think GT5 is a HUGE deal in America our perceptions are a bit skewed. GT has always been much bigger over seas. TGS 2010 will basically consist of 5 games GT5, The Last Guardian, Castlevania, MGS Rising and Marvel vs Capcom. And of those 5 GT5 is top dog and undoubtedly receive the most attention. Its also more personal for KY showing off the game to his home crowd. Just my opinion.

I guess the release date at E3 2010, (assuming it's there), will settle this!

The hype has to start somewhere, and September is just too late. But if the game doesn't come until after TGS, then I do expect something at TGS 2010. Maybe a car list or something?

In terms of revelations that will blow our minds, no way could it occur in September. There's only 6 months left right now until 2011, so it's currently the perfect time to get the ball moving.

Again, I just think the big news should be soon. Real soon. Sony knows we've waited a long time. Any further delays or "silence" would be awful for them and for the game.

Convince us, Sony! And now they have to as we've been given little information. Let's make them work!

I do not think it is going to be silence but more just a medium amount of information. But more specifically for the American audience. Stuff like NASCAR, damage, online, Move, PS Eye etc. The finer elements like photo mode, car lists, tracks, and more in depth features I believe will come at TGS.
