When it releases, might just be a prologue, and if it's got all premiums and better sound, only then will I get a PS4.. don't mind if it's as soon as next xmas.
Wait, you're seriously comparing GT5 to the PSN hack? I think this is where I'm going to have to ignore/block you. That's too much crazy for me...@Syngamer assuming someone does know something is just you look likefool and not thoughtful. I have nothing against Prologue games what so ever. What I do have a problem with is companies making foolish mistake just to please their fan bases. Yes I will agree the GT5 engine made a pathway for GT6 and what is to come, and Kaz clear stated that the CODE for GT6 was rewritten due to the matters that happened with GT5. He also stayed none of the data from GT5 will travle over to GT6 due to the GT5 code being compromised.
I can agree that the funds Sony gathered after the release of GT5P and GT5 mad up for the long development period, though it didn't make of they the funds they had to spend to rectify the situation with the code which cost them a lot more to develop the game. I recall reading a new clip stating that Sony spent close to 6 million to fix the hacking trouble. Can you give one game that sold enough copies to cover that cost?
Addition:
I'm sorry it was 170 million. That 170 filters down to every where else within the company. Software development, testing etc.

I would like to propose that much of the development of GT7, at least in regards to cars and maybe tracks, began with GT5. We all know the time and effort PD has put into these 'premium' models (hence their limited number). Given that GT5 and GT6 released relatively late in the PS3's life cycle, I'm under the impression that the car and track models were created with more than just PS3 in mind. Rather than having to create new cars and tracks from scratch for the PS4, they have done the hard work of capturing these objects beyond what was needed for the PS3. More work up front, less work in the long the run.
Kaz has even been quoted as saying GT5 might have 'too much detail' and might be better suited for the next gen console.

If you guys ask me this has plenty to do with Sony/Nissan/PD's integrated marketing program.
GT Academy is due back in Australia (and PLEASE New Zealand as well) in the next 18 months according to this respected news source - http://www.speedcafe.com/2013/10/24/nissan-driver-academy-set-australia/ - it can't be too far-fetched to speculate that they'll tie some sort of GT7 demo with the PS4 when GT Academy 2015 comes around the corner...
...it's just a bit of a pain in the a*** how I've already got all this gear ready for the competition and I'll have to get myself a new console and maybe sign up to PS Plus with a monthly fee just to compete *sigh*.
My thoughts exactly. And if they absolutely need to release a GT for PS4 NEXT year, call it just that, "Gran Turismo 6: PS4 Edition" or something similar. If GT7 is merely a graphical upgrade, fans will not be pleased...

I see where he is coming from,as the PS3 hack did open the gateway to "hacking hell" for all games on the ps3 and displayed a lot weaknesses in games security (code-wise ).In result they found out how to duplicate saves and play them on different profiles. But I don't think he realize that GT5 would have been hacked rather the PS3 was hacked or not ,( it would have just taken a bit longer) and that despite the hack they still aren't able to access the games data itself.
And this ties into GT5: P sales how? That's what we were discussing, incase you forgot. And yet you continue on about how it was a mistake and such. GT5: P was a smart move to by PD time and allow fans to play *something* while they continued working on GT5. It also brought in A LOT of money. No @Syngamer the hacking of the network has nothing to do with the hacking of GT5. Though I do believe that the hack of the PS3 had trickled down allowing all of the other games beside GT5 to be hacked. GT5 wasn't the only game to be hacked there have been many others. Let me name a few, COD, BF3, Madden, Pacific Rim and Mortal Combat.
That was for the PSN hack, which caused PSN to be offline for about a month. How on earth did it cost 170 millions, to fix a hacked game?![]()
@Syngamer combine your latest two post ASAP. Even though GT5 P did do well to me it's still 5.5 million of mistakes even if we did enjoy it. But the funds it brought in still doesn't cover the development time and cost. 5.5 million copies at 40 dollars (220 million, along with a new PS3 (Maybe another million due to people already having a PS3) at the time would have never covered to cost of the delay. If you understand programming and development so well then you should know the cost that goes into it. Correct?
Don't get me wrong, I would love an "HD" GT6 for the PS4 next year...if done properly. But calling it GT7 and advancing it in no way other than graphics won't fly.
Just to end this once and for all, the combined development cost of GT5: P and GT5 was roughly $60 million, according to this; http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/...urismo_5s_Development_Cost_Hit_60_Million.php@Syngamer combine your latest two post ASAP. Indeed. Gran Turismo 5 has been enjoyed by millions since November of 2010. Gran Turismo 6 is now being released for the same platform about three years later. Even with the various additions of patches, free content and DLC, GT6 assumed to had been in development after the release of GT5. I think a full two years was enough for me to enjoy GT5, and I hope the same for GT6.Just no. Take your time PD. One year will not be enough to:
1. Enjoy GT6 at its full.
2. Come up with a decent successor with at least a good 600 cars, a good amount of tracks and as many or more features than current GT titles.
I don't want (and I know most feel the same) a GT7 Prologue.
I'm not expecting GT7 anytime within the next 2 years; Late 2016 at the earliest.
If GT7 comes for ps4 this year I will buy a ps4 definitely
Impossible, but yeah, I think we all would rob a bank if that happened.
