Battling for the lead in GT300 when the GT500 cars come through and chaos ensues.

We need Sophy compatibility for Fuji and Autopolis ASAP.

Got the whole field up dated to 2025 liveries. Just wish we could have 30 cars on track...

Even though I had tyre and fuel at 1x, I could feel loss of grip on laps 3 & 4. Tried to push more and threw my rhythm off. Couldn’t hold the line like SOPHY. Good stuff!

Thought I'd pay tribute to one of my top favorite racetracks so right after watching the IMSA race today, I had my own. Just a 15-lapper,mixed class. It got weird though. So I have it on Normal difficulty, No boost, slipstream real, tire wear 1x,gas 1x. As far as I know all my cars were on stock settings save for maybe a couple. We were all on RH. My grid was Gr.1 cars were 1-5, Gr.3 were from 6-20. I started 11th in Roxy. Of course the Gr.1's took off. I worked my way through the Gr.3 field and was in 6th at the end of the second lap. Then for some reason ALL the AI cars behind me slowed down. I was pulling away easily as the laps ticked by. Gr.1's were running normal. By the 14th lap I started lapping my fellow competitors. Watching the replay, they had dropped their speeds at least 10mph less than mine. So most of the race I was in no man's land all alone. Odd Sophy.

To compliment my Roxy T4 photo, here's a photo of my weapon of choice back in the day at the same corner,T4 bleachers. My buddy and I always hung out at T4 for most of the race whenever we attended. This is from 2016, last time I attended IMSA at Laguna. It's just too expensive nowadays. :(

If anyone need help with where to place the Z06.

We don’t have the Audi, Mustang or Viper Concept, but the Viper GTS is on the grid. M3 E46 V8 swap is go to make the M3 GTR. Porsche 996 entries help to fill the grid and Acura/Honda NSX is represented.

I guess the R34 can be used in lieu of the Audis. An R34 did race in the series at one point.

Not very familiar with this era of GT so I am wondering if you have an entry picture somewhere showing the liveries? I'd love to create a grid like this just for the feel.

What car was punted off in the first video @6:11?

I haven't searched a spotter's guide for the liveries. I look up the car and team and/or driver while watching the videos.

A Saleen Mustang. Ironically, a car(Racing Modification) in the GT franchise!

Fair. Ahh yes, I remember the Saleen! Loved that thing.

I think I'll just use a hodgepodge of 1999-2002 LeMans livered cars for my grid. That theme of livery seems to be most widely available compared to other (American-specific) races/championships.

@05XR8 got any backside shots of that GTR? I'm creating a fill-in replica. Happy to share it but I can't find any pics of it from the back..

Absolutely! So fun stock and tuned. If engine swaps get added, that’s going to be nuts. When SOPHY gets behind the wheel, even better. Really fun in VR. Getting right on the tail of the car ahead also reminds me of those full size European truck races.

Add the logos for those trucks(MAN, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, etc.) and there you go. ;)

Here’s the race truck series.

In the regulations, we can at least copy a few things. There are turbocharged engines for one. The second, suspension geometry calls for a maximum -3 degrees of camber on the front axle. Finally, maximum speed for those trucks is 160 km/h.

Time to buy another forty for full NA and a full TC grids. ;)

Made another twenty turbocharged race trucks(about Cr. 120,000 each tuned). Tried wide wheels and wide offset at 90mm height, -3 camber. Trucks just did not turn. Changed camber to -5F/-4R, trucks still didn't turn. Removed wide wheels and kept wide offset. Trucks turn fine.
My first batch of trucks only had the wide offset and I figured all would be okay with wide wheel option.
So finicky with the settings.

Setting up an NA batch now.

What we need in the future is some batch purchase system so we can buy the 20 vehicles all at one time. lol Or even some set-up system than can easily be transferred over from one vehicle to another. too much work right now. Attn. PD. ;)

I finally got my Aussie touring cars up and running. I included the Challenger and the C8 Corvette. Here's 3 laps at Catalunya.

The only hitch is that the Mustang doesn't get the diffuser upgrade, but if I omit that from the other cars, they are too fast. So, everyone gets the diffuser, but I turn the wings down to somewhat match the mustang. No power upgrades other than race exhaust (for the sound) and the computer (for power adjustment). I tweak everything to 700pp on RH.

As with my classic DTM setup, I remain in wonder as to why this isn't offered in Sport Mode. Even as a Race A

How about we don't need 20 seperate vehicles to fill a grid.

Seperate vehicles allow seperate tunes, and (slightly) different tunes make-one make custom races much more intresting...
(at least this is my experience so far...)
I take it as not needing to buy twenty separate vehicles.

When we enter a custom race, we can race the same car. It’s just our own car nineteen more times, but what if we could change the livery on each of those cars? Doing it from the livery editor data, rather than cars we purchased?

We can also select the option to change opponent cars. Yes, it’s still our one car, but what if we could bring up a drop down menu to tweak the tuning?

Well, anyway, I agree it’s a hassle to buy multiples. The main problem to me is having to buy all the parts for the same car. It should be like GT Auto(wide body, wheels, Custom Parts, Racing Items, Other) all parts should be free for the same car.

You don't. You need 9-10

I approach the races in two way. The first, is to just use the garage cars, because I wouldn't use the majority of them otherwise. That should fill most grids with no issue. I have a 600pp RH all Japanese set up, and I have more than enough cars.

For the "race replica" type races, you need 9-10 cars, because a racing team usually fields two cars.

I have a jtcc grid with 20 differentiveries because they don't have teams and a btcc grid with personal names on the livery because that's even cooler. So I already have over 40 Subaru gr 4 because switching liveries is even more work.

But reading through your comments, you seemed to be upset that you need 20 car to fill a grid. I'm confused at the issue?

GT8 will likely skip the PS4, so it stands to reason the single player events will be made up of Sophy races. That should address the issue of having to buy cars.
