Did a 10 lapper at LeMans last night just to see what it was like with 8 hypercars coming around to lap you. Did not disappoint.

Let's just hope PD doesn't take too long to get the new cars Sophy compatible. Also the new Porsche and Ferrari GT3's...

It's been close to a year since anything has been Sophy compatible. I was hoping the Suzuki Carry would have been added shortly after it was introduced. Same with the Honda One.

It looks like Sophy additions are out the window until GT8

I want to create a NASCAR-style race at Daytona, but with GT3 cars. I need to adjust all the cars to have equal weight, horsepower, performance rating, and so on. I'm aiming for around 750 horsepower and 1200 kg of weight, but only a couple of cars have that kind of performance rating. I need all GT3 cars to have these specs — the BOP slows down the cars too much. For example, the AMG GT3 has a top speed of 310 km/h, while the Porsche 911 maxes out at 280 km/h. I need the Porsche to also reach 310 km/h. Please help me.
custom transmissions will let you fiddle with the cars’ top speeds to get things balanced, beyond power/weight.

I bought one car of each, tried to see if rubberbanding was still a thing with normal AI, that's a yes.
Then I checked if Sophy could drive them, that's a no.
So I didn't purchase any duplicate.

Closed the game, no fun allowed.
See ya if something happens.

a bunch of cars lining up to go to the pits which caused a caution forcing a couple of ais to respawn during the slowest 2nd half of the track ever.

Hello everyone,

I’m discovering this post.

My God, 150 pages... where to start?

I like the fact of reproducing real or fictional races with grids claiming truth (composition, hierarchy of results, liveries, names of drivers...).

I know that the "search" function exists, but I want to ask you if I should look at a particular post. Please accept my thanks for your suggestions.

PS: As an example and if you’re interested, I tried to reproduce a segment of the 24 hours of Daytona from the F1 movie.

Thursday, I was as rich as I ever was with roughly 50M Cr. (never had I farmed so much before in anticipation to an update!) .... Today, I'm almost broke :scared:

.... But my 24 Le Mans Hypercar grid is almost ready! :D

Plenty of GR010s posing, not only as its up-to-date modern sibling, but also as 1x Alpine A424, 3x Cadillacs V-Series R. The 3 units of the Porsche 963s that I bought are now converted into 2x Genesis GMR-001 and a lone AMR Valkyrie. In total, 15 hypercars. Throw in the Safety car for the picture and a couple of 'backmarkers' in the form of LMGT3 cars and that's a full 20 car grid.

Kudos to the whole livery creator community as it's thanks to their incredible work that we can play with these grids!!!!

Plan for today ... Testing, more testing and, eventually, more fun, yet to come! :D

Amazing work!

I too started at a bit over 50m credits and am down to 16 (bought one of each new car then got the green F1 and another Miura and a midnight blue 911) so I plan on splitting my time between the Weekly Challenges (regular and PP), practice for Nations and the new Time Trial.

Again, amazing work!

It’s a shame they haven’t had any new SOPHY compatible cars in over a year or so now - I have 20 different colour custom Renault Twingos but I need the SOPHY AI to make it properly competitive without the need for down-tuning.

Let’s hope they aren’t saving further SOPHY additions for GT8…

They even have less work to do. Adjust the difficulty to time scaling and the trailing car in Reggie.

Right now, the rubber band adjusts not only to you but to the race length. Move the (essentially) guaranteed win out beyond the end of the race, so it's more of a challenge. Also give a little more connection to the racers behind you so they don't just drop off the map.

Unless they completely abandoning Reggie for GT8

EDIT - I've done some testing with the hypercars and Reggie. Looks good. I don't know if they hold up over long distances, but short races are good. I didn't balance anything. I simply through the 5 hypercars into a race.

Yeah, Reggie is working real good at the short tracks with my WEC grid. 10-15 minute races. When I spectated at Goodwood, the several Hypercars that pitted due to damage, did get stuck behind the GT3 cars. PD will never rectify that.
Spectating at Brands Hatch now.

My most hated Broad Bean was actually fun. CGV was good. Autopolis short and RBR short. I had the tyre multiplier too high at HSR so I didn’t see the Hypercars catch up until the checkered flag. Plus me and my teammate fell from leading 1/2(me) in our class to 19(me)/20 since our tyres were done on the penultimate lap. Pit crew were slow servicing the sister car. Oh well.

Ya, I've tried so many times but their system is not made for split classes. The issue is position. P1 is always the fastest car on the grid. P20 is always the slowest, and the the rest slot between on a gradient. Passing seems to help boost each car for a bit, as does pressure from the user.

On the upside, this is what makes championships work, for those who want to track their drivers. Do a "fastest first" grid based on the previous race finish.
Somedays I really hate PD. They're seating on a gem and refuse to fix the most basic things. Arghhhh
I hear you. What kills me is the time spent on Sophy, when Reggie is obviously up to the task if only they took the time to refine it.

As for tracks for Reggie use, here's the ones that I found are best (well..."best" is relative) - no particular order

Deep Forest Reverse
Watkins Glen
Autopolis
Fuji
Redbull Ring
Daytona Road Course
CGV
The Tokyo tracks. Pretty much all of them

Love what you guys have had going on in here, great to see a community for these custom races. Been popping in and out of here for some years.

I'm sure its been done before but I just wanted to share my rendition of an F1 recreation using the Super Formula Cars.
I've been doing seasons of it on my own since 2022 but I started posting it as a series to YouTube last year. Just started the 2026 season this past week.

I'll throw in my introduction video that explains how the series works and rules, but to give a quick technical rundown
- I still use the base AI model instead of Sophy mainly because there are no standing starts, but also because it's not available on every track
- I try to tune the cars to replicate the characteristics of their real-life counterparts as best as possible (although not always perfect), so understeer/oversteer, fast in corners vs fast on straights, etc.
- As for 2026, the 20 car limit doesn't allow me to have the now 22 cars on the grid, so the bottom 2 teams in the constructors run 1 car, scoring enough points to get out of the bottom 2 gets them their second car back.

I did also want to ask how people go about blue flags and lap traffic with the AI, I'm sure some of you have seen the lead cars afraid to pass lap cars, but turning off blue flags causes the lap cars to race the lead cars as if they aren't a lap down 😂 so if anyone has solutions to that I'd love to hear them!

Here's the link to the intro video
Welcome to Project SF1

Reminds me of how the old Pre-Q sessions used to work.

I have Damage on Heavy. Helps the randomness of outcomes. With spectating I have flags off so they don’t slow everytime they pass my location.
Goodwood was just a bad programming with the Hypercars cars stuck behind proabably due to the final chicane. Haven’t encountered it on other tracks yet. I’m running this grid at all circuits since I can. Other tracks so far, Reggie navigated just fine.
There have been changes in leaders from both classes with the combination of pit stops and traffic.

Obvious SOPHY wishing, but racing and spectating are working out so far. I’m having fun.
