My life is a lie.

Because, yes, that boost works wonders. And with the F1 driver names on the cars, I can track the behaviors better. What's shocking as well is the number of times Sophy has been on my pace with 2 steps less tire. Me on SS and Sophy on SH or less, until I get into some open space. Now, using the same tires, the pace is even closer/better.

I am truly shocked.
That's boost for ya. You're not the first to be fooled.... and you likely won't be last.

Hopefully the 812 actually sounds good, since most Ferrari V12s sound kinda disappointing in GT7. The F50 and Enzo sound great but the F12 and LaFerrari doesn't sound that similar to real life.
I think the f12 sounds quite brutal when you install the racing silencer and highlift camshaft. I heard an aftermarket f12 in realife its actully not too far off that.

Looking forward to people making this livery

Dang, it would most likely take someone a couple weeks to design something like that. Adding all the colors, background, lines and other shapes would take time and concentration. And of course, plenty of sleep/rest.

And going back to the tires situation, my best ones are hard, it seems like some cars act funny when I use the mediums and softs. I don't know why, maybe my driving style was bad or something.

I'd be just as excited for a new track as I'd be for the announcement that GT7 has reached its EOL at this point.

Not hating because I absolutely adore GT7, but it feels like we're done here.
And if it is true, than that is complety normal. They are relatively a small devloper team. They need to focus more on next GT game!👍🏼

Sorry if this has been asked before guys. If I upgrade my ps4 version of Gt7 to the Ps5 version on my profile. Will the Ps5 version also work for a different user profile on the same Ps5??

Thanks peeps

Yes. I even use the same (digital) copy on my PS4 on a different account while also on my main on PS5 at the same time.

at the same time
Do you use the PS4 one as your rearview mirror? 😎

I believe that's possible to do in Lobby mode. I also think one could create a pseudo triple screen mode like in PC sims if he had three PlayStations, screens, copies of the game and accounts. Main account drives, the two others are in spectate mode and have their views panned left/right corresponding to the angles of the side screens. Of course it'd be expensive and quite cumbersome to set up, but I'm a little surprised no one (e.g., a streamer) has attempted it yet.

I'm starting to agree, but also GT8 is surely still a decent ways off?

It won't be this year because even with how Sony are waiting to announce games they'd have done so by now. Quite unlikely to be Feb/Mar 2026 because Sophy doesn't seem like it'll be ready by then. Definitely won't be summer 2026 because Sony (and every other publisher with any sense) is going to get well out of the way of Grand Theft Auto. So we're 16-18 months off minimum still in my opinion.

Something like that, but who knows. 2025 is out of the question I agree, but beyond that all bets are off.

PD started winding down GTS in February 2020 and announced GT7 in June of the same year. So we could still be looking at an announcement this year. I’d expect a release in a 6 to 12 months time window after that.

I was just thinking, PD probably owns the largest collection of svgs in GT7. Like, almost all decent sized companies which have anything to do with racing have a logo in it, lots of them created from scratch whereas there wouldn't even be svgs that exist. And also the largest collection replica cars online...

I sure hope, besides making everything portable to GT8, they will also archive it themselves somewhere else. Not everyone will transfer everything and it's becoming internet history.

I wonder what the situation is with My First GT.
As far as I know there haven't been any updates to it, despite Kaz saying there would be.
Not that I'm complaining that GT7's development resources aren't being diverted, but it would be good to know what's going on with it if anything, and what the supposed update plan is.
Do they plan to update My First GT once a year, for example.

Kaz said a lot of things about GT7 that we're still waiting on too.

I wouldn't hold your breath on this one champ

An engine swap for the Escudo… interesting!

Fiat 500F '68 was one of the cars I was looking forward the most to have a swap.

I hope it'll be in the 250-300 HP range or the such.

Thank you for the reply

So in theory I can get upgrade to the Ps5 version on my profile and my nephew who owns the Ps5 can play the Ps5 version on his profile which is the main profile of the Ps5?

I own the disc version of Gt7 ps4 just to be clear.

Thanks again

Looking at the Special Picks in the Used Car Dealership, there's probably going to be a Chevrolet Corvette one-make as the next Special Event in Weekly Challenges.

Oh and in Brand Central & the Café, they make reference quite a bit to the C5-R, the racing version of the new C5 Corvette.
Reminds me of how the BMW V12 LMR is referenced in the BMW-McLaren F1 Longtail dialogue.
Hopefully we'll see both return as actual cars in the game someday.

I'm not sure if it's true that the '01 Vette Z06 "replaced" the '00 model from the previous games.
Z06 debuted in 2000 indeed, but marketed as the 2001 model, just as the other American cars.
I guess they've always been rare cases that the American cars in Gran Turismo use their actual debut year instead of the model year for marketing.
So I'm thinking that the '01 Z06 we've just got is a returner rather than a newcomer.

It's still an oddity though, because the 2000 was the Standard model. The Premium was the 2004.

I can't think of any other car on the modern roster where they had an existing Premium (of the exact same model, not ones that are grade different like the Evo IX) but re-did the car as a different model year.

Oh gt8 might be at least 2 years down the road depending on when PD finally stops the updates for gt7. And it'll also determine on when the ps6 is released. We'll see what time tells and brings in the near future. But Sony and PD are probably distracted by working on other games atm. That's what normally happens.

Yes, if the disc is in the console. If you upgrade the disc version, the disc is effectively the licence to play so it needs to be in the PS5.
