"Holiday" is pretty much the period from Thanksgiving in the USA (fourth Thursday in November) until New Year. It covers several of the busiest shopping days of the year and early November is a common target for new games and consoles as a result.

As a quick reminder, the last standard GT Sport update and the "more modest" announcement was at the end of February 2020. That predated GT7 by almost exactly two years. That doesn't necessarily indicate the future transition from GT7 to GT"8", but we're only a couple of months away from being two years before Holiday 2027...

Thanks. I think a perfect ocassion for a teaser would be the Tokyo Game Show, this september. FH6 will probably be revealed also. They arent direct rivals tho. Full arcade racing game vs a starter simulator.
 
I hope everyone enjoys this update, it should be ready in 5-6 hours depending on where you live. The Corvette cars will be a new addiction for many probably. I watched the trailer 5-6 times.

The update goes live at the same time for everyone. Also, in just about 2 hours we’ll be able to play it. No need to wait 5-6 hours, unless an extended server maintenance happens. :nervous:

What swap does the Avantime get?
 
I'm definitely going to try out the Michelin Road Atlanta race along with the one on Reverse St. Croix. Gonna be testing a lot of the upcoming engine swaps too.
 
New spa race is 10 laps and gets you 300k

8x fuel consumption 8x tire wear

New extra menu gets you a 6 Star engine ticket.

This seems… quite decent? Don’t know how easy is to get clean race bonus but it could be around 450k per ~25 min ?

Do you have this race cover from menu? I wonder which car is on the main focus. :D did they put new vette or not :D

Nope. Nissan, Mercedes & Honda
 
The CX.R is quite disappointing in terms of usability. I tried it on the new Spa event and after just 3 laps the battery becomes empty and the car has no power.
I think pit stops should recharge such cars batteries to make them any good.
 
Corvette race car is alright. Its fast. Update as a whole is whatever.
 


Little bit nervous to start but got into it's stride shortly thereafter. Quite fun. The custom parts mean we can probably do some Top Gear hijinks.

Those lists and new way of handling social media accs sounds to me like Sony hired some new ppl to handle GT online. In a different situation I would think we might get some sort of road map or just general news about future of GT7, but since this is still PD we are talking about it's probably not gonna happen.
