I had that bug a few times before but I think it is more of a console issue (the console not loading the game) than a game issue. I usually close the game and restart it and it works

I came back to GT7 after a long time and now have this issue where any single car's PP get updated as soon as I select it from my garage. Like for instance, it reads 329.66 PP for a stock Honda Beat '91 when I am in the vehicle selection menu, but as soon as I select the vehicle, it changes to 356.43 PP. Is there a way to mass-update the PP at once for all of the cars in my garage?

Edit: I meant the Suzuki Cappuccino '91, not the Honda Beat.

I don't think there is, unfortunately, it happens with every update that changes PP, sadly. I wish there was an update all button, it should be possible for them to do.

Oh ok..
Sorry I can’t help you more, it seems like a different bug than me..🤔
Thank you, it seems to be my modem, I restarted it and works but very slow when changing of screen (other games are working fine) but at least I was able to try the new cars by now😁

Check your garage folks. Something might be delivered. Meanwhile we still don't get the porsche 911 GT3 R with days of play livery 🤔

What are you talking about? The stealth cars are to be delivered September 1st.

Apparently the PS4 version of the game no longer exists

(this is more to tell the PC crowd they are getting sod all from Playstation in the future)

Stepping back from us being on a Gran Turismo forum for a second here, Sony having to reach back for a 4.5-year-old game of any kind for their advertisements is wild.

The generation isn't really very good. It's not really lack of competition (Microsoft has all but given up on that front), but how games take too long to make and the most relevant games like BG3 or GTAVI aren't exclusives. Also the sequels to Sony's franchises all had better gameplay, but inferior stories, and those games rely heavily on storytelling to sell themselves.

One curious case IMO was Death Stranding. I really liked the first one, the whole managerial aspect of it. One of the most clever games I've ever played, with a great story full of twists. Then came the second one. It's easier to play, with more refined mechanics, more toys to play with, but the lower difficulty took some charm off it, not to mention the story was very average, and Kojima added some weird stuff to it for comic relief. It's a better game to play, but not to experience.

Gaming is undergoing a silent crisis IMO. People don't know what they want. They say the gen is weak because less releases, but then push for more of these juggernaut games like BG3 which take a decade to make. Besides, games are getting more and more expensive. People complain about the prices, but are happy to dump $100 and more into GTAVI.

Honestly, GT7 is currently the only thing making me not hang the controller for good. Between expensive juggernaut games, remakes of washed out franchises, generic soulslikes and indie metroidvania slop, there's really not much that catches my attention. My genre has always been racing games. Forza Horizon has killed all other arcade franchises while not even being all that good itself (number 3 was the last really good one IMO). Sims thrive, but require more effort than I'm willing to put into. The "in-between" or "simcade" has been reduced to just GT. It's a barren field for someone who experienced the Wild West that were the 90s.

Well, it's the latest installment of the longest running first party franchise and you can play it in the latest console, it even serves as a showcase for the console's capabilities, I personally would not doubt to include it in marketing material

It was a very interesting opinion to read.

Funny because I too only keep the controller into my hands and Sony as a whole just because of Gran Turismo. Every flagship franchise that would have few years ago made me but their console or a better PC, are now totally falling apart or are just taking a direction I do not like. Games like Civilization, Europa Universalis, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Mario Kart, etc...

And here I am with GT7, which is on the edge of falling from my hands (and Playstation with it) because of this kind of update.

I think it’s more that it was one of the few Playstation Studios games that didn’t get a PC port, like Demon’s Souls Remake and Astrobot, so it can still be called a PS console exclusive alongside the upcoming games.

We got another new version of Moon Over The Castle before GTA 6.

This time around, it's a live orchestral recording of T-Square performing with New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra featuring an arrangement similar to the GT7 intro.

Just noticed the names of the paint schemes for the Ferrari VGT in Brand Central.

Does this potentially hint towards up to a Spec 5 update for this game??? 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

GT7 adding yet more chase the rabbit world circuit events for two more Spec updates:

(I would be happy to see the other content in Spec 4 and 5, though.)

Just saw something really cool. A couple of Gran Turismo icons, on the Mobility Resort Motegi oval!

I still hope that if/when Motegi returns to the franchise, the oval is included.
Even if the real one is still damaged and not suitable for racing (but clearly in good enough condition for demonstration runs), Polyphony could do a "digital restoration" of sorts.
A lot cheaper than a real-life restoration at least, and it would be a great way of preserving history since it appears this is the last time it will be used.

Just saw an update to the construction being done to the Motegi oval, which is being turned into closer spectator viewing areas for the road course.

Very sad to see the track that inspired Gran Turismo's "Super Speedway" circuit, before making its officially-licensed debut in GT4, disappearing from the real world.
I noticed that Motegi was another track that hadn't had a post made for it over in the Suggestions Forum, likely due to it already being in the game when the forum was most active during the GT6 days.
So I decided to make one myself, featuring the road course & a "digitally-restored oval" which I'm sure would be a far cheaper and easier way for Honda to preserve it in some form than a real-world restoration. :D
If you also hope to see Motegi return someday, click on the above link & leave the first post a like/upvote.

sounds like a no-brainer for PD to scan the oval before demolition - reviving and digitally preserving a demolished circuit is sure to be some nice PR and more of a news story than just any other track. And if they plan on re-adding the road circuit eventually, it's relatively little extra effort on top, seeing how they share the same environment...

However if they did, we would probably have heard some eyewitness reports by now. And PD work in mysterious ways.

We had exactly that back in Spring 2024, which was long before the oval started being torn down.
Though we haven't heard anything else about it since then to my knowledge.
If/when Motegi does come back, I really hope it's not a Yas Marina situation where we only get 1 layout, despite the alternate layout road surfaces already being modelled.
