The issue is, that is basically part and parcel with the Car-PG experience Polyphony, and Forza as a matter of fact (Horizon certainly has it worse in this regard) and the only way you are going to get that to change is if you completely changed how the career mode is played, probably into something that is much more akin to a driver's journey like in PCARS 2 or even 3.

So how do you make those 400 cars get used, ultimately, when the very foundation of the game basically makes these cars fire and forget?

Right. He says people will will be guided to collect the cars. I guess if people are going to engage with the Campaigns, they’ll be forced to do such collecting. Which may require using every car:
The Demio is a diesel, Aqua and Fit are hybrids. Maybe there are races that use cars as such. A diesel Cup, Hybrid Cup or manufacture One make races for each invidual car.
Does leveling up get players to the next tier or do completing all the races in a tier, advance players to the next level?

Do trophy collectors have to collect all cars in the game?

I've read that launch of Gran Turismo 7 will be postponed by a few months and will probably be available in stores in October. But This need's to be confirmed so we all have to wait for few more days untill final release date will be established. October is not final date, cause September also might be considered.

I don't know what GT could seriously do to make GT Cafe ultimately appealing to people who aren't going to be naturally completing it for 100%. Test cars ala' GT4? Kind of pointless with a livery editor able to pantomime these vehicles.

Especially if we get applicable parts that mimic various special variants, like how in GT6, instead of the M4 pace car being a model in its own right, there were parts you could install on it. Not to mention my hopes of a "skin" system, where you can get official skins/liveries rather than relying on someone else to flawlessly re-create them.

I can't really see the appeal of GT Cafe personally, unless Ive missed something. It suggests you acquire X cars to complete a collection and.....then what? Also this isn't an open world RPG where you have to go hunting to find items to collect, the cars are all sat there in the dealerships just waiting for you to buy them. Maybe you have to wait for a used car to come around, but that's about it.

Isn't gt cafe's objective to teach players about how some cars relate to each other?like the Ae86 the GT86 and the GR86.Or the history of compact Japanese cars.
GTS kinda did this,showing how the advancement in cars related to world events in the museum

Gran Turismo 7: Now you can eat the cars.

Hopefully the GT Café streamlines collecting cars somewhat and makes it actually rewarding to do so. Always thought that big racing games like GT and Forza made it annoying to collect cars in a lot of situations and I do genuinely enjoy collecting cars. GT has gotten better at it over the years since GT4 by adding checkmarks to owned cars, easier garage controls that allow you to keep better track of cars, and GT6 even had a search function. Hopefully GT7 continues this trend and I do hope the GT Café is a nice helpful feature to introduce car collecting to new players and make it more rewarding.

I don't know for you but my hype for GT is for some reasons "low". Maybe it's the nonexistent marketing strategy or the lack of new features. Unfortunately, GT5 wasn't the best game but the trailers were crazy and my hype absurdly high.
Seriously, the same pic again and again a month before release?!
Poly is so secretive, even if GT as a franchise is less and less popular...

Best-case scenario is it was planned for November 2021 (which tallies with what Fanatec thought at the time, and Fanatec's own schedule for the GT DD Pro), so we're looking at five months of delay.

I really hope so - the lack of information is of concern.. I stumbled across GT Plant during the build up to GT5 and it was glorious (GTP’s coverage not so much the game).

I could imagine, we likely hear anything from PD still this week, when in next week the certainly last GT Sport championship round will start as announced in December for february. That could be a poll of GT7 release.
