No new track, huh. Bummer. Guess it’s Hungaroaring in July and something for Christmas and that’s what we’ve got to look forward to this year. 😕
Why do you think Hungaroring will be in the game? I’d love it, I was born fairly close to the track.

Glad to know PD let us know it advance that this update is absolute dogs****.

Are we seriously gonna only have two new tracks for the remainder of the year that are gonna have a 5 month gap between them? Is this the actual pathetic state PD is in now with these drip feeding updates?

This isn't me saying the event content they drop is good, but this year alone they've added VR, 120FPS, the big physics update and Grand Valley, all of which I'd say would be significant man-hour undertakings. So I don't think "the devs never do anything" is fair.
We can easily oversimplify things we don't understand. The quality of GT speaks to me of a lot of hard work and dedication. Is it perfect...no, nothing is. I agree that we have seen a lot of good new features recently, and yes, it is not fair to claim that nothing is getting done.

I really don' t understand what hundreds persons do at PD every month, now Is more than one year that there are not any new Mission, any new feature added to the game, no career mode, no manufacturers events, game Is very sterile
Maybe they were trying to get this new update ready......

I think there is a difference o the focus of game support compared with sport (probably influenced by the live servive experiment).
In GT Sport the updates focused on content but 0 on features, GT7 seems to be more focused on add features over content

Soooooo, like….

Are all the ❄️’s back to being happy again?
For about the time it takes to buy them, if that.

Figures I'm working off the laptop on the road (in the place where a good part of the old-timers want to see the first proper city course come to GT7, no less), because the addition of purchasable S parts is going to play havoc with my spreadsheet and, if I tried to do the changes on it, my mobile plan. Remote Play is, in a word, unreliable.

Hmm.. engine swaps buyable. I wonder if there are some new swaps available.

Is Hungaroring rumoured to be in the game? I'd love that tbh, it's a fun track.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Will Add Buyable Engine Swaps and Special Parts in Update 1.34

In addition to the new car content coming in Gran Turismo 7’s 1.34 update Polyphony Digital will unlock new tuning abilities that have previously been restricted to chance occurrences, with engine swaps and special parts becoming available to purchase directly...

WE'RE SO BACK BABY!

A couple of questions on that:
  • How, exactly, is the price of the engine swap determined? Judging by the single-source screenshot of GT Auto (a 2020 Civic engine headed for the 1998 Civic), it appears that there is a 100,000-Cr. premium over the cost of the donor engine in the Extreme tab of the Tuning Shop. Said 2020 Civic engine costs 27,500 Cr. in the Tuning Shop (1/2 the 55,000 Cr. the car itself costs in Brand Central).
  • How will the Stage 5 Weight Reduction work now that it will be purchasable? Up until now, the Stage 5 Weight Reduction served as a bypass of the first 4 stages.

The engine swaps and ultimate parts thankfully save this update from being a dud.
Finally! I was hoping they would include those features, this update is now rated a C+/B- instead of the initial D+ rating I gave it. All they need to do now is make the car invitations purchasable for lvl 50 car collectors same as they did the engines.

I wonder what will happen now with engine tickets, will they keep them and just let us use them for free swap or will these be removed entirely from roulettes.
