The people in these comments sections are a very vocal minority that, let's be honest, most likely got introduced to the franchise via Sport and have no idea what to expect of a more "traditional" GT game. The like/dislike ratio on the video is something like 91% last I checked, so it's obviously not something most people are angry about.
Ah that’s kinda like the whole bullet holes fallacy in a plane thing.
As a lot of us here have been playing since the first one we are fairly committed to wanting a good game and experience.
Now the novelty wears off after a couple of decades for the “silent majority” who probably moved on but still play the game as and when to relive some of those days.
Not withstanding unless you buy the game tomorrow a lot of people would experienced the way it’s played and rolled out, and 3 years in it is disappointing on a lot of levels.
1. The cafe structure has stuck as it is, so all those day one players it’s very much a clicking exercise to complete it (and at this point credits probably aren’t much of an issue for 3 year players)
2. The QOL updates have dried up in terms of UI and UX improvements.
3. The formulaic simple events structure is becoming old with nothing new or interesting about them.
4. Sports mode has had zero love in both QOL and actual races, with unbalanced cars and constantly repeating races with little to none variability.
5. The TTs (sports mode) are now even becoming less and less interesting
6. The car rosters while interesting choices aren’t fitting the games structure very well. Where are the moon rover missions? The Lewis Hamilton challenges? Where are more missions quite frankly.
7. There has been no championships introduced especially as it can now incorporate Sophy for a majority of the player base.
What we are getting is the bear minimum of whizz bang now, and its trading off the cars look so good in the game.
Being absolutely honest there is probably more people that are moaning in the comments than are regularly driving the shopping SUVs
I do think it’s fair to ask a company to push itself for customers and be customer first rather than company first.
