What's the detail I'm missing that makes the R34 the Z-tune specifically, and not possibly one of the 20 other R34 tuned variants with a front splitter?
For all I know (If the GT-R Registry's wasn't unacceptable at this time) The R and Z tunes of the R34 share the same vented hood. but strangely in the previous installments (GT4-GT6), the scanned R-Tune model has the standard hood. The S-Tune, along with the Mine's R34 N1 Base (Appeared from GT5P-GT6) has a NACA duct on the hood (Where the light shines on the teaser image too) instead of the vented ones like the previously mentioned tunes.

Higher resolution preview:

My predictions:
1 (Bottom Right): Another Skyline GT-R R34 (Maybe the Mine's GT-R?)

2 (Top center): Most seem to think it's the Honda N-Box, Especially with the off-center antenna on the roof

3 (Rightmost): Either a Prius C, or a Nissan Note. Not sure.

Is it.... the Note Authech Crossover?
Seems a bit taller than the one in the image, but it's quite similar, overall. Even has the roof bars.
It would also go in line with: 1 Sport, 1 Quirky, 1 Common.

Edit: Either way, it's seems to be a Nissan of some kind. Leaning more towards the Qashqai now, with the roof bars being closer to the silhouette car.

Honda N-One: Its ok, but i would have preferred the Honda e which also has an interesting retro design(i know its an EV but i really like the design). 6 speed manual would be better than the CVT.

Nissan Qashqai: Also fine. You see these a lot. Now we just need some crossover/compact SUV cup event.

R34: Really looking forward to this. If it is the Z-Tune I will be really happy. I hope it does get a good exhaust/turbo sound.

Thinking about it, isn't it definitely not a Mine's because we'd see some of the Mine's script logo on the illuminated bit of the car's bonnet?

You know what these new econobox/conmuter cars mean? It means that GT8 is very close. Because why will they add so many beginners cars (low pp, econoboxes, suvs) when the game was launched 3 years ago (also when up to date racing cars are missing, making GTWS kind of weird to see, since it doesnt make sense seeing 13 year old cars competing) and they have already sold millions of copies, and most people have at least completed the beginners events? Because they are completing inventory for GT8. Also we havent seen any major change in terms of features or any new event in a lot of months. Its kind of obvious. Slow down still hasnt happened, but im sure it will happen in between 3-4 months.

Sarcasm
I reckon they'll see this year out then we'll have a GT8 announcement in early 2026 for a late 2027 (30 year anniversary) release date.

All the cars are super obvious GT8 fodder. Nonsense to add starter cars to a near 4 year old game otherwise.

They did this in the Sport->7 transition too if I remember right. Weren't the Fit and the Demio quite late additions to Sport?

Fit (1.38, April) and Demio (1.47, October) came up in 2019, the final full year of GT Sport updates. Fit wasn't that late, though.

between mid 2019 and 2020 they added cars like the: Toyota AE86, Golf I Gti, Audi TT '00, Toyota Crown, Honda S2000, 300sx, Clio V6, Fit and Demio. They are all relatively beginners carss

Not really excited for this update in all honesty. The Qashqai was inevitable I do think and I'm not too annoyed over that particular addition. But the other two... I just don't see the point of I'm sorry to say A rather uninteresting Kei box, and yet another Skyline... I do happen to often wonder when are we going to get more classic or vintage American cars. The C1 Corvette is lonely!
