I'm currently at JapFest in Poland... Everywhere I look, I see cars that should be in Gran Turismo... But I'm getting a Qashqai instead and I'm supposed to be grateful because it's free content?

If licensing stops PD from adding more desirable cars (I don't really believe in that theory but let's pretend for a moment), maybe they should just start adding unlicensed cars? ;)

There's like one or two exciting cars per update in the past months, and more sophy tracks.

Other than that it's getting a little stale...even the engine swaps aren't that interesting lately.

I'm hoping for something bigger soon.
At least for me the game is pretty much dead at this point. I wouldn‘t get my hopes up.

I love the sound affect of the poo 💩 emoji makes me laugh everytime lol. I don’t mean to over use it but damn I got no faith in GT7 updates and I’m not getting GT8. There’s so many amazing current cars M3 M4 AMG they could add or updated GT3 cars or LMP cars (watching Brazil 6 hours as I type) also nascar etc. I still prefer the older GT games for career structure and events etc. Polphony will always do what they want but damn lol , maybe I’m just old and grumpy but the updates are unappealing and no word of events. Or dlc I’ll pay for some categories or a new track. Anyway my options. Still play GT7 weekly for weekly event thing but not much and I’ve missed some weeks to CBF anymore. 😢
This... Exactly my feeling about GT7.

It's a blessing that we still get updates for a game that is more than 3 years old at this point. Curious what races will be added also. On the other hand: i feel that the cars we got in the latest updates could have been there since the launch of the game.

As for GT8: i'm certain that in that game all the newest GT3 and 4 cars will be in the game including the M3/M5 and hopefully the RS4/RS6. All i want for GT8 is a decent career like in the good old days with price cars that you can sell, manufacture races and different leagues. Coupled with the gameplay and physics feeling we have with GT7.

Honda N-One: Its ok, but i would have preferred the Honda e which also has an interesting retro design(i know its an EV but i really like the design). 6 speed manual would be better than the CVT.
i feel amazing how N-One racing has around 10 years, it was even featured by James May of all people, but people seems to nto notice them at all

for me, the N-One is a literal test if the person really likes JDM or just like Fast and Furious and drifting videos on internet

The quirky, the sporty & the SUV. Are we really “blessed” permanently with this formula from now on?
If we really are winding down now, it's not a bad formula to have. Better than Sport at least, which added... 4 cars in the last two years of its life?

Am I wrong to think the Honda isn't actually that quirky an addition?

It's just a kei car. Kei cars have been a staple category of this series since GT2, and there's no extra "oddity" to it (as opposed to the Carry, whose truck-ness I agree makes it quirky).

You know I would've liked it better if that Nissan SUV were a Rogue (X-Trail in Japan) instead, especially since that was my grandfather's final car during his lifetime.

At this point I’ll buy the cars, do the special events for them and then go back to sport mode and get back in to a 10yo + meta of the week or in Gr4 get in to a car that has LESS power than the one it’s based on with way more weight and do the same combo 2 out of the 3 typically and quietly sob in my rig misting up my VR mumbling “what could have been, what could have been, whilst raging about other humans”

Edit: satirical speculation on the new events

1: a fuel saving race where all the other hybrids are out of petrol

2: pop to Tesco and realise 2 weeks shopping, a cheap Hisense TV and a patio table and chairs don’t fit in a Honda kei car

3: 2 laps of Tskuba 1 make race that’s over in 1min 50s and results in 2,000 credits.

Happy for the addition of the Honda N-One and Nismo Skyline Z-Tune finally being in GT7. Though I really am not looking forward to the Qashqai on the count it reminds me of the Nissan Rogue and I flat out dislike that thing.

its just beacuse people are not used to this car
tbh i dont consider it "quirky" exactly beacuse it is used to racing on real life

I've been sticking up for PD, throughout the last year or so. I've had a lot of fun with at least some part of every update. However, even I'm starting to wear down. We REALLY don't need another Skyline variant that is hardly any different to what is currently in the game (Vspec Nur). Not only that, but of course there's another SUV (and it looks like another CVT monstrosity with no upgrades). The ONLY thing I'm looking forward to this time around is the Honda, the potential engine swaps, and hopefully another SOPHY track (and more cars that SOPHY can use). I mean, I'll use the R34 (I don't dislike it, it just seems unnecessary). Hopefully there will be unique tuning options and an interesting engine swap down the road (maybe the GT-R LM Nismo engine for something different?). Anyway, that's my .02

Well, it does have almost twice the power of a stock R34.
If it IS the Z-tune. I'm still thinking it might be a Mines... but I digress. Even then, it has the same RB26DETT (bored out to 2.8), and the same chassis. The current R34 is VERY easy to get those numbers out of, and also currently has one of the best engine swaps in the game. It just seems a bit superfluous, really.

I really feel like they need to finish off the cars that never got updates from all the way back in GT2 before another econobox and CUV. Kei cars can be fun in real life but pretty dull in digital form. I want an ST165, a CRX, a Prelude, any Lotus (i know they must've lost the rights there), heck the Dodge Intrepid could be tuned like crazy!
