I guess you are being sarcastic? Or what is it that you expect that would come?I don’t want to pour fuel on the fire, but…
A variation of an already existing car, a kei car, and a modern hybrid?
I don't know if we should just get used to this, or if something big is about to drop soon (2-3 months).

The Peugeot and Mazda are my favorite crossovers so far. They are fun with the right tune.Considering it's a game, I'm confused why CVT cars are arbitrarily locked out of upgrades.
It's making the addition of CVT crossovers highly wasteful when a manual crossover like the 2008 turned out to be a good car with some upgrades.
PD: "You want more race cars?"

"There. Happy now?"
I do wonder how much the manufacturer dictates what upgrades are permitted. Wouldn't want to show how fun the car could be?Considering it's a game, I'm confused why CVT cars are arbitrarily locked out of upgrades.

I'd imagine that the transmission is tied to the car's attributes in some manner (I do wonder if it's due to gear change animations; do they lock out "dude shifts an H-pattern" from a CVT, PRNDL, or flappyflap?) rather than decoupled as we now see with the engine.Considering it's a game, I'm confused why CVT cars are arbitrarily locked out of upgrades.
Why? As long as what you say sticks within the bounds of the GTPlanet AUP, there's no reason you'd "get in pretty big trouble".All I’ll say is… I hope and pray that the next game has a lot better live service and updates because if I say what I want to say I’ll get in pretty big trouble here..
Some people just don't know that much about certain cars.We REALLY don't need another Skyline variant that is hardly any different to what is currently in the game
I'm a trained mechanic, and certified petrol head. I could list every Skyline variant that has ever existed, off of the top of my head. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here? Some people just don't know that much about certain cars.
Some "variants" are warranted. If anything the Z tune has more purpose for being in the game than a base model R34.I'm a trained mechanic, and certified petrol head. CX-30 is pretty slick as well.Considering it's a game, I'm confused why CVT cars are arbitrarily locked out of upgrades.

Well, if we don’t get updated Suzuka signage by now, we’ll probably never see it in this game. Such a minor detail, but major for player immersion to have an aesthetic connection to the real circuit.
Anyway, hoping the RS is a manual. Honda made a point to make the manual available. Would be a shame to have such a good car with the CVT.
Even if performance-wise it might look pointless, usually the variants/trims have different customization to set them apart, see both integras, evo 8/9, r32 and the nismo version all have an actual different widebody and bumpers, so who knows, maybe this one can end up looking like this after a trip to gtauto:If it IS the Z-tune. I'm still thinking it might be a Mines... but I digress. Even then, it has the same RB26DETT (bored out to 2.8), and the same chassis. The current R34 is VERY easy to get those numbers out of, and also currently has one of the best engine swaps in the game. It just seems a bit superfluous, really.
That's a stretch and a half. If anything the base model is more inline with GT historically. Some "variants" are warranted. If anything the Z tune has more purpose for being in the game than a base model R34.

Might as well take out all of the GT3/GT4 cars from the game too since they are modified versions of the base street cars. The model we have now (which isn't the base model, BTW) can be tuned to match the Z-Tune specs pretty accurately as is. So, unless there are some wildly different tuning/modification options, it's just not adding much to the game.
They are wildly different (especially Group 3) than their road going counterparts, and usually include things like racing fuel cells (making them more suitable for races with fuel/tire wear). Hardly a cogent example.Might as well take out all of the GT3/GT4 cars from the game too since they are modified versions of the base street cars.
I’d be happy to see the Goodwood TT return.Would love to have the Gunsei Touge course added too.
Judging by the depressing contents of the latest updates, the only thing they're likely dropping anytime soon is support for this game.something big is about to drop soon
I do not really care if a car has been featured by James May. I am just saying that i would have preferred a different Honda model. Doesnt matter to me if it has any racing history or not.i feel amazing how N-One racing has around 10 years, it was even featured by James May of all people, but people seems to nto notice them at all
for me, the N-One is a literal test if the person really likes JDM or just like Fast and Furious and drifting videos on internet

Which also needs some updates because it's getting stale. Seems like it's the same thing over and over with little to no change.Pretty sure their esports stuff will keep going strong.
I do totally agree with you on this partAt the end of the day it is a matter of personal taste.
I was hoping for something a bit more special, like the '98 Miata, or one of the more tempting cars from the datamine list, like an M5.I guess you are being sarcastic? Or what is it that you expect that would come?
They’re probably keeping some of the most wanted cars for GT8, even though I doubt it’s coming anytime soon.the only thing they're likely dropping anytime soon is support for this game.
In Gt1,Gt2,Gt3,Gt4 they used to take "some" time to add a few extra textures, give it more horsepower, etc. Now it’s clearly a different process. At least give me a different car, then when they do an update with more than three cars they put it there... this update like this seems a bit sad.. As for the kei car, I’m actually pretty happy about it, and I’d be fine with the SUV too.. if only we could swap the engine...and people are complaining
Part of the ethos of GT now - as exemplified by the "museum" sections introduced in Sport - is as a tool to educate about car culture and the history of the automobile. The Unimog is a pretty significant vehicle in Europe, and the Kangoo (as explained at the time) is wildly popular in Japan and the subject of one of the country's biggest single-model annual gatherings. Why would we want an old Benz truck or a Kangoo?
