Yeah, hopefully with this update (and if happens the addition of the M4 GT3) the racing wing of GT7 will be happy and we can enjoy future road cars without reading rage and doom "GT7 is dead" comments lol
They don't want to be happy. They want to keep demanding more and more until we get GT Sport 2 and it completely kills what was left of the classic GT community.

My only question isn't what cars are or are not included, but, what will the size of the update be.

Should be a small 1GB update considering it's three cars, three race events, an extra menu book, new Scapes, and some engine swaps in between.

Take a shot whenever a car gets a Bugatti Chiron engine swap.

Can't say for sure until it's made available. The usual size for a three-car update is 1GB plus or minus 300MB (a little less on PS5, a little more on PS4).

you mean the Classic GT community who back in the day in GT would do up a family car to compete with racing cars? We have had so many updates with those kinda cars.

I can't see how the Xiaomi will be sub 600PP and be a legal car for the WTC600. Unless it's using Comfort tires (which is completely stupid for a 2000kg EV with 1500BHP), it's impossible for it to have less PP than the Taycan Turbo S, which is near 600PP and has half the power.

If I had to guess, the Xiaomi will probably be the OP car of the event, similar to the Giulia and the Valkyrie in some events.

Would you've had it rather that they kept adding commuter suvs und mom vans?
I mean yeah I literally would have preferred that.
It's a privileged position but I play iRacing etc. for my race car fixes, I feel it does a better job at doing them justice, I never like how nullified and dull GT3s and such become under GT7s BoP.

I can't race or tune a Silvia or Qashqai or Hiace properly anywhere else. That's what I play and love GT for. I won't drive any of the cars this update (maybe the SU7 once or twice but I don't enjoy simulated EVs, much more interesting in real life).

LMU on console, a good chunk of sport mode players will move
I really doubt it will represent a significant portion of the player base.

To take my case (but I am not a dedicated sport mode player), I would not consider any other game unless it has a VR mode as good as GT7, as good visuals and good playerbase. Then if it has all of that, it would need a better career mode (easy) and better driving feeling (less easy).

They didn't move to ACC and they won't to LMU for the same reason : vast majority console players prefer casual racing either on the sofa or on a wheel
Nobody wants to have to search for leagues on discords in acc, LMU have dailies like gt, acc don't have hypercars either

And then there are folks like me who would love to play ACC, LMU, Project CARS 2/Project Motor Racing but all of them have the same common flaw- they are all borderline unplayable on controller.

I can play DiRT Rally 2.0/EA Sports WRC and F1 games fine and they are pretty sim in nature. The other games are missing out on earning more money just because they refuse to spend a little time in getting controller gameplay right.

The cars are my favorite part of this update, mainly because they seem to be the most substantial part of it. I kinda look forward to looking at the 911 R's potential customization parts. It's nice that GT7 offers alternate parts for some race cars based on real world variations of them. Not a lot of racing games do that.

Outside that, this feels a bit lackluster. Just 3 races, a menu book, and a scape. Though we are still coming from a bigger update that gave us a lot of stuff. I'm hoping the races added are lengthy.

I just gotta say, I'm really liking the liveries they picked for the Elantra N TC and 992 GT3 R.

EDIT: On a side note, I wonder if there'll be a Dunlop-themed challenge like there was for Michelin, where we could get a 992 GT3 R with a special Dunlop livery, like the Michelin-liveried Porsche 918?

EDIT2: I'm definitely curious about what sort of engine swaps we could end up getting, too. I'm still hoping the engine from the Aventador SV could go into the Diablo GT, or at least the Countach LP400.

The events look like more my cup of tea, dominating those lame gr3 cars with a road car is my idea of fun. The only other potential upside to this underwhelming update are the possible engine swaps... come on! The Kangoo can handle way more power!

I would really like to see One Make option in lobby.

Personally sick of (old - everything under '25) GT3 and Porsches...

Game is still not counting kilometers made and time driven in Online Time Trials and Lobby Practice sessions...

Oh look, another Cafe Menu that I won't bother with (unless gifted the EV & VGT). :yuck::dunce:

Maybe I'm crazy for saying this... How can anyone decide they aren't excited about any content in a video game before they've tried it?

I'm happy to say I've completed my aim of driving every car in the game, and I had to reserve my judgment in each case because, guess what? You actually don't know how a car is going to feel until you've loaded it up. You might be surprised.

Unless of course your jimmies are rustled because of some tangential reason like brand affiliation, aesthetics or politics.

For me, new content is new content. And I'm here to drive.

Porsche GT3R: Beautiful. Is that the 2025 season DTM winner? And also the car Kevin Estre drove for Manthey Porsche at the 24h Nürburgring last year?

Hyundai Elantra: Its fine but not too excited about it. Would have preferred a I30N.

Xiaomi: I „hate“ EVs (in real life). Nonetheless, i think it is a great edition because it is the first Chinese car in GT, broke records, and shows the big traditional manufacturers how strong the competition is. What disappoints me is that there still is no „EV only“ event.

Events: OK, but i would like to see more variation (EV only, Italian only, Asian, …)

Hopefully there will be some surprises in the update notes tomorrow.
