No, bonnet edge lines don't match...

Especially under the headlights...

Yeah, the low rear wing and ADAS cluster are more of a giveaway that it's not a Prelude, even if the simple arched profile wasn't...

What? 😂 The 296 isn't that good is it? I still find the 458 the Ferrari Gr.3 of choice, albeit that might be because of my driving style but the 296 didn't blow me away? (I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just from my limited experience and talent)
I'm very much coming from a position of ignorance.

I don't really know, it was a bit of an tongue-in-cheek post, given that in GT7 there is a trend of pushing the newest race cars both from the publishers and the community. Porsche was traditionally the better handling car of choice so i just assumed the the Ferrari should reside at the other end.

Honestly if the 296 GT3 was anything to go by, I can only hope that the same level of detail and customization is available on the new Porsche (fingers crossed that is the car of course!)
For example, the various aero options, the illuminated number panels, and the proper attention to some of the readouts on the steering wheel's info screen being updated in real time (tcs, fuel mapping, brake bias) were all such good options that I just wish that this is the goalpost moving forward for all of their cars!

Should also be noted that this is almost certainly the most unique Gr.3 car they could add, as it is RR which nothing else in the class is, so it will be its own driving experience nothing on the current roster replicates.

This isn't a case of "it looks different but BoP will make it drive the same as the older one so what's the point".

I agree, but It's curious because that front edge doesn't match the Xaomi and the roof intake doesn't match the Hyundai, not to mention the wing.

We shall see. The one on the left absolutely looks like the Porsche. The one in the back totally matches the Hyundai. But the one on the right doesn't match the Xaomi. As mentioned, it has a prominent lip between the lights, which the Xaomi lacks. Also, that roof intake doesn't match. Same for the mirrors. It's definitely not the Prelude either. The profile is completely wrong.

Granted, the cover could be altered to keep us guessing, but that's a lot of alteration.

Just one more thing, for those of us that will build mock TCR Series for our own pleasure and/or leagues, the TT Cup car does make the cut. However, briefly. A Gr.4 Audi definitely needs an update to an RS 3 LMS or R8 LMS GT4 or both.

Anyway, the Civic FL5(as well as the older FK8) with NSX swap does wonders for fuel in endurance races and having the Gr.4 Mazda3 as the closest race car to its own defunct TCR entry, help with nearly official entrants to the category.

Have no fear using the Gr.4 Megane either. The Renault Fluence, a sedan version based on the Megane, was used as a TC2000(not related to TCR).

Hopefully we continue to get more updated real world race cars to the Gr.4 category.

Hmm… good choice of cars this month. I think Montreal gets the WTC 800 race, but I wonder what circuit gets the WTC 700? Yas Marina would be obvious, but I pulling for one of the Blue Moon layouts.
While I don't expect it to happen, I think a WTC 700 race at Daytona would be interesting. Would add a new event in quite some time AND it'd be a nice sorta mimic of the Michelin Pilot Challenge race.

Depends on if PD modelled this to include the evo parts like they did with the R8 Evo and 296 GT3. As far as I call tell, only immediate visual difference I can see between the base 911 GT3 R and the Evo are the Louvers on the front just after the headlights and I'm not entirely sure how they would implement those considering they aren't diveplanes that can be lumped into "Front" or the Diffuser that can just be put in "Rear".

Maybe like the 296 they will put it in the front grill option?

Could very easily put them in the "Side" or "other" categories in GTauto

Fun fact: With the latest addition of the new Porsche, the brand will be in 3rd place in terms of total cars (30) in the game, surpassing Honda (29)

The Elantra N TC is my favourite new addition. Hope we'll see more TCR cars in the future.
