As much as it sounds like a great idea, I doubt PD can make something like this, it's just not PD style, plus I love PD and all but they will mess something like this.
Let me tell you somethings:
1st. Gran Turismo can't do anything because GT is the name of the game that PD created!
2nd. Forza Horizon is unrealistic game for children just like Need for Speed
3rd. PD will never do crab like this!
You forgot 4: They'd probably screw it up anyway by forcing you to drive the speed limit or follow all road signs or not drive on roads with too many letters in the street name or something.Let me tell you somethings:

Yeah they need to do make a game like this but the problem is that can't get it right. Heck, Horizon can't even get it right. Good but not great. Anyone that has been in the car gaming and real car culture for years and years knows the immediate flaws. That is when we know that these d bags in higher places than us do not deserve to be up there. Are we still that gullible to fall for what these developers say? Yes we sure are because the experience racing gamers are a dying breed and probably moved on to life rather than being around battling with the sheeple and know nothing developers. Now the sheeple will just clap their hands to anything that Dan and Kaz has to say.
I would be happy with something like Forza Horizon for the Playstation, it didn´t had to be from PD, and no, NFS is not the same!Heh, horizon was one of the best games I've ever played. (I tend to be overly serious about racing, and horizon forced me to just have fun for once.) But if PD tried to make that, well...let's list the problems!
1)They would blatantly be copying Forza.
2)They would do something totally weird with it. You know the odd jazzy menu music? Now imagine a game revolving partly around jazzy porno music from the 1970's. Yeah.
3)It would split their time between two franchises. These people can't handle ONE, don't give them more!
Now, I love GT, PD, and FH (and abbreviations!), but this is just not something that could ever possibly work, at least with PD at the helm. Even Forza had to outsource the development of Horizon to Playground.
But...it would certainly be the funniest thing I've ever seen...so maybe...maybe...

Not really no. It isn´t opened world, it doesn´t circle around some festival... I was thinking more into something like Forza for the PS, but not Driveclub.Isn't that what Driveclub is?
One is a closed circuit race, the other is a Free Roaming world, how does that seem the same?Isn't that what Driveclub is?

The only similarities I see is the fact they spin arround supercars and sport cars, whilst other racing games have, well... Racecars. This and FH are those games where you get to appreciate the driving of a supercar outsider the racetrack.I know it doesn't have free roam, but concept wise, it seems the same. Screeenshots like this reminded me of Horizon immediately:
@Mazyata Keeping up with what exactly? You keep saying that but give no examples.
Concept wise? what concept are you looking into, because the only similarities is that they both have carsI know it doesn't have free roam, but concept wise, it seems the same. Screeenshots like this reminded me of Horizon immediately:

Ok, but like I said, going by what the game actually is(and going by what you said about concept), its not the same at all.The atmosphere and setting looks similar to Horizon's. You have scenic locations, crowds of people watching by the sidelines, and banners decorating the track.
Just because of that? So by that, Dirt 3, Grid 2 and a bunch of other games are like FH/Driveclub aswell. They also have scenic locations, crowds watching by the barriers and banners decorating the track. The atmosphere and setting looks similar to Horizon's. I think it looks really good, it's going to be similar to Forza Horizon but hopefully a lot better.
DriveClub may very well be the "Forza Horizon" to Gran Turismo 6's "Forza.
To me it's looking very much like Forza Horizon when it comes to setting and general gameplay but without all the childish, gharish festival bro stuff.
Basically this is Forza Horizon for PS4.
Which is not a bad idea.
Well everyone has their opinions... I see nothing but a similar "atmosphere" in terms of the game beeing circled arround super and sports car, but that´s it. I wouldn´t necessarly cal it "Playstation´s Forza Horizon".I'm just going to say I'm not the only one who got a Forza Horizon vibe from Driveclub and just leave it at that.
