I like the distanced seating position.
Problem with that is though, it gives a completely unrealistic FOV. There's a trade off between a 1:1 correct FOV with triple screens and a playable FOV for a single screen. Ideally you want the most realistic FOV that is still playable.

Hmm...So it does look like the build shown yesterday is what they were talking about when they say 50%. It's also interesting to hear about the difficulty.
Please let this ridiculous idea die! The game has been in development for somewhere between 2.5 to 3 years. How on earth are they going to complete 50% of the work in 4 to 5 months if the first 50% took 2.5 to 3 years?

Theo is da man!!

Btw, here's the interactive background menu :)

And the livery editor menu, if you check well, you can load, save and download liveries, wrap-sharing pseudo-confirmed then??

"Just because it's beta we can't just throw it out there. It's required that in order to do an open beta we have to create a proper master for it, and considering the release timing that we announced, we decided that we just don't have enough time to do two gold masters for the game. By omitting that it saves us about three months of time."

So demo/beta build takes them about 3months. As I said before, what we saw in the stream was an old build.

Just left the GTS event in the Copper Box, and I have to say, that was a great day. My overall impression of the game is much better than after yesterday's stream.

Getting the chance to play it on headphones with the music off, on time trial on the Nurb, was pretty incredible.

So for me, not so panicky on the sounds at all. Clearly there are changes happening, and I have faith that it'll be much improved overall come launch.

The visuals are lovely, genuinely - but with some heavy frame rate drops on 20 car races.

But anyway, Willow Springs and Brands Hatch, in particular, I personally thought were stunning. Another con though, very aliasy. Something that could be improved hopefully.

One final thing, watching the races live (and failing hard at racing in one lol) was an absolute pleasure, and a real surprise after yesterday's streamed event. It's a great spectator mode, really.

So, overall, really happy. Great day, and game shows real promise!

Thanks again guys, especially @Jordan and whoever the commentator chap was. What a legend. Someone get that guy a job in e-sports.

I guess it depends if the first half of the content and features represents the part that takes more time to develop and implement in the game and the last 50% represents something takes less time, like cars, track detailing, tweaks and polishing. I think now is just wait to see how the game development progresses through this last months, with E3 (maybe a new trailer there and an updated version of the demo there). And looking forward for the playable demo in the 24h of Nurburgring!

Please tell you managed to hear the Scoob and Evo, PLEASE

I don't know if dynamic time of day was already confirmed or denied, but at least different times of day appear to be in:

This actually is just the exact same lap, seconds apart. It's not a different time of day, one is just overexposed.

EDIT:  I'm just blind actually, disregard.

EDIT2: actually, it's pretty normal for racers to not set every single track to the exact same time through out all of it. That doesn't confirm anything, but it still isn't denied either.

I drove a few cars, none sounded terrible, mainly mix issues rather than awful sounds. Nothing was perfect, lots of work to do, but yeah don't let that tyre squeal panic you too much guys :)

Also, had an amazing time with the Mazda LM55... Cockpit view was so cool...

You want to try actually reading my post? I said the build they showed yesterday was probably from the 50% mark. Since, you know...a game developer can't just throw the latest version on a flash drive and hope that it performs to an acceptable standard.

You just hyped me on another level!

I saw a handful of videos last night on GT Sport. To me, I am starting to get the feeling that GT SPORT is, at least, what the racing side of Gran Turismo should have been from the start. There is nothing wrong at all with the many casual style races we've been accustomed to. However, there is something with GT Sport that makes it seem like it is perhaps the best execution of GT's weakest link (besides sound quality). I especially love the presentation of everything. I almost want to imagine I am watching a show rather than compete in a race. On impressions alone, there is plenty reason to be excited for GT Sport. Anyone who may have been miffed about Gran Turismo 6 or if Polyphony Digital thinks they've lost fans with GT6, GT Sport will probably bring them back in as well as welcome new fans of the series.

Those are the things I thought about when I updated my blog with thoughts on GT Sport as of the recent unveil ceremony. And in case you're interested, here are my full thoughts: "Gran Turismo SPORT: Unveil Impressions".

[UPDATE] Updated link.

I wasn't really concerned if it sounded bad or not, I know it's a WIP. I just needed to know if the sound I heard in the Stream yesterday sounded better when you played it. Dat turbo noise though :D

But it's good to hear that none of the cars sounded terrible and it was just the mixing was an issue.

Any one from the UK found a place to pre order the collectors edition yet?

So instead they throw on a year old build? :odd:
