Bugatti Chiron
Mclaren P1
Mclaren 650S
Mclaren 570S
Lotus 3-eleven
Lotus Evora S
Lamborghini Huracan
Lamborghini Aventador SV
Ferrari 458 Speciale
Ferrari 488 GT-B
Ford GT350
Ford GT
Bentley GT3-R
Cadillac ATS-V GT3
Acura TLX GT
Acura NSX GT3
KTM X-bow GT4
BMW M5
BMW M2
RUF RGT-8
RUF CTR 3
RUF RGT-8 GT3
Remember these are only my expectations..

Seems like nothing so special
I can't read it too, but apparently they're just showcasing the game
Oh I thought it was some sort of event showcasing night driving in GT SPORT but I suppose I am just stuck in my own imagination xD hence the word NIGHT got me hyped

It'd be nice to have all of these cars in the game, but right now, the only cars in this list that I believe are most likely to be in the game are the 650S (GT3 version is in the game, the stock probably has a high chance of being in), the P1 (If the LaFerrari's in the game, I feel like the P1 is a shoe-in) and the Huracan (it was at the London event, which could say something).

Hello I found something a bit interesting on the pit stop gran turismo blog Japanese version.Translated by my own phone but I am not certain but seems to be an event scheduled for today:confused: anyone can translate? http://pitstop.gran-turismo.com/article/2703 thanks!:gtpflag:

Some SuperGT drivers will be having a race on Brands Hatch and Willow Springs. I only skimmed it but I didn't see anything about night racing.

I think the word Night was there because it's a night event.

Don't forget the Lotus 3-eleven which was also in the London event..
I have in mind the Audi R8 V10 plus since the GT3 version is already in game.
Also, the RUF CTR 3 & the RGT-8 are in all racing games & the GT3 version of the RGT-8 has a great chance to be in game.
The Bugatti Chiron will be in GTS because of the Bugatti VGT, and the Acura TLX GT is already expected to be in GTS.
The Mclaren P1 will be there because the La Ferrari is there.
New Ferraris must be added to the game so the greatest chance will go to the 488 & the 458 speciale. The F12 berlinetta is the least expected for GTS.
Since there are Gr.4 cars the KTM is expected to be there & the new BMW M2 has a big chance. Not to mention that the BMW M4 GTS might be there.
Since GT Sport is focusing on GT3, cars like the Bentley GT3-R & the Cadillac ATS-V GT3 will probably be there. In addition, the GT350 is a record setting car on Nürburgring & it has a chance. I feel the 570S is going to be there because of its sofisticated design & its ability to attract a lot of people.
Another option would be the Focus RS which is a rival to the GTI & the M2.
The new Ford GT will be there if PD wanted to challenge Turn 10 for real..

Poly/Sony markets GTSport with the line : "140 Super Premium Cars". It sounds a little bit cheesy, something from the 90's. But what is the main difference with simply "premium" like in GT6? I'd like to see ForzaVista in GT. Because only better shaders and lighting don't make them "Super".
Marketing 101: Product Differentiation. You have to create the image in the minds of the consumer that what they are buying is dramatically different and better than the old version even if it's 99% the same. But I think you're right in that they could have come up with a better, more modern name.

Still think it's pretty bold to lead promotion of a Gran Turismo game with a certified FIA championship. Although the fact they throw in the 'Race Offline' section does suggest they realise that isn't going to appeal to many, many people.

Nice to meet you, just got lapped today in a 3 lap race.

Well that happens if you drive like a spanner and go the wrong way like you did in the last video you shared.

Spanner, haha. That is such an English insult.

I don't want to start an argument here, but you literally do not know any of that. And you state it as if it's a fact.
I stated it as a fact?

I think you obviously dont understand the words "pretty safe to assume".

We've already seen quite a bit of footage that would back me up. You can feel free to disagree, but it seems highly foolish and contrarian to do so.

Probably because GT target sales and target market is more larger and wider, they want to catered for everyone taste, not just for those who want a hardcore sim.
Of course. I wasn't criticizing GT's approach, I completely get why they do what they do and I'm quite glad for it. We need that sort of 'accessible sim' sort of racing game. Even if you've already 'graduated' to some more hardcore sim and cant play GT or FM anymore(which I think is a shame), you should still appreciate that these titles are what provide a gateway into the more hardcore sim genre in the first place. I'm betting a ton of the people who play Assetto Corsa and rFactor2 and iRacing got their start playing Gran Turismo, ya know? Even if you cant play anything less than iRacing anymore, you should still appreciate and welcome what Gran Turismo does for the genre and support it.

Greetings from a contrary fool! (don't worry, I won't insult you back!)

I just google translated 'pretty safe to assume' into English, because you're correct, I obviously didn't understand it, despite being English.

So now I can use it with confidence, having been educated so well by you (much appreciated).

It's pretty safe to assume you don't really know what you're talking about. Woo, this phrase is great!

It's pretty safe to assume I don't really care much for your random rant about a game you've never played, or even seen running up close. Or know the full feature set of.

So, thanks again for the education in the English language. It's much appreciated!

I'm sure you're feeling pretty good about this post, but I still dont think you realize what you're actually arguing against. My stance is that the new Gran Turismo Sport is still going to be very much in the vein of previous Gran Turismo's and not a foothold into the hardcore sim arena of Assetto Corsa and iRacing and whatnot. You are somehow trying to act like this assumption is not reasonable or unsafe? In other words, your stance seems to be that the new Gran Turismo *might well be* as good as these other titles in terms of physics? Despite all we've seen from footage and all.

You can make these mocking posts all you like, but I'm pretty sure when it comes down to it, you wouldn't actually disagree with my posts if I pressed on things. So yea, I'm gonna go with 'contrarian' here. Which is really merely an annoying distraction from real discussion since you're not actual genuine about your feelings that GT might actually be a genuine competitor to Assetto Corsa in terms of driving model.

And if you are, then fair enough. You're just going to be painfully let down when it comes out...

Its also pretty safe to assume that what hes saying is likely to be true. Going off those that have actually played it, it doesnt seem like theres been a massive leap, but moreso some nice changes to the physics already in motion. GT has also been a game that is easily accessible to all, which is likely why that whole "ages 7 to 77" slogan was put into play, so a hardcore approach in that aspect is a bit unlikely, in my opinion.

On the "super premium" talk, isn't that terminology something the community helped coin for the cars? Now that it's stuck we see criticism of PD for running with it

No, i believe that was noted by them from the get go.

If I was ever to be 'painfully let down' by a videogame, then I think I'd better reassess my life.

You haven't played it, and know not much about it. Your original assertion was way too confident based on the fact that you haven't played it. Or know much about it. That's all. Pretty safe to assume that's unwise.

I dont claim to know anything about AC, because, funnily enough, I haven't played it. See where I'm going with this.

I hope both are good games. Genuinely. I am not a fanboy, I like driving games. Anything good, I will enjoy.

What I'm merely getting a bit bored of is people with weird, negative agendas slagging off games they haven't played yet. Pretty safe to assume that's you.

Except that it wassnt slagged at all, more so saying that its a game that all will be able to easily enjoy, which may hold things back in certain aspects, to broaden the appeal and not be too serious and off putting to the casuals, in its own right. That is not a bad thing, necessairly.

So you're saying there's a *reasonable* chance that GT Sport will have a competitive driving/physics model compared to Assetto Corsa?

And thus my assumptions are unreasonable?

Ha. If you think that's what going on, that explains a lot. I'm not trying to bash GT at all. I like GT quite a lot and it was even a big reason I bought a PS4.

I dont claim to know anything about AC, because, funnily enough, I haven't played it.
Ah ok, I get where the problem is here.

Hahaha, and that leaves precisely one of us making assumptions about a game they havent played.

I'll give you a clue as to who that is:

It isn't me.

Going off those who have actually played it, and all the marketing slogans being thrown around by said company, it's an easy thing to assume. Its to be expected as well, that approach has brought them in a load of money, so I dont think they'll outright abandon it.

No, the first occurrence of the term was the FB guy.

I'm making quite safe assumptions.

So, let's test your conviction here.

"I assume that the game will offer an option to alter sound volume".

Are you going to vehemently argue against this too, even though we dont specifically know this at all?

Or are you only going to argue against assumptions that you perceive(however ignorantly) are attacks against GT?

You can try and stick to what you think is a 'win' at this stage because of unknowns, but you're being supremely disingenuous and you know it, because my reasoning is solid and I think you know that, too.

Ignore them, just forza fanboys, they always try to put under bad light gt , even if maybe gt will have sim physic they will not admit this so just ignore.
Even though nobody was saying anything about Forza Motorsport whatsoever. lol

Clearly some people just have a serious persecution complex.

That's fair enough man. I see where you're coming from, but I respectfully disagree.

The tiny amount of GTS that we've seen so far, IMHO, does not allow the statement 'pretty safe to assume'.

Members here get pulled up all the time, and rightly so, for making huge statements about games they haven't played, and normally it's about games that are already in the marketplace.

So making such a huge statement about a game that hasn't even been released, that you haven't played, is too much of a stretch.

That is literally all I'm saying. Wait and see.

I figured that was just basic common sense, but seemingly not.

Physics are likely to be unchanged, its not something that youd just change up on the fly. That is likely something to be finalized long before the first playable demo came through. So with only two months before gold, its easy to assume that when taking into consideration the opinion of those that have played.
