San Andreas or Vice City. I just wonder to what extent they'll model the cities. Miami and SoCal might be too vast.

I wonder if they'd considered Hong Kong or Singapore.

I voted other because I would WANT it to be in some part of Australia but realisticly it will probably be in San Andreas.

I picked San Andreas

Rockstar games are planning to get GTA5 in stores in Fall 2010. What do you think of this? I think it's awesome.

I dont think the next instalment will be called GTA5. Possibly GTA IV : Vice City or San Andreas. Im looking forward to the PS3 exclusive open world game too (forgot its name though).

I'm guessing you mean GTA: (insert city name here) rather then GTA IV... again. I mean some games have crazy numbering but they wouldn't have 4 twice for 2 different games or people would know its the same and be less inclinded to buy it. Simple marketing would suggest either 5 or GTA: (City/Area).

I'd like it to be in Australia too, but it probably won't ever happen. I voted other.;)

London to be honest, I liked the play on british stereotypes in GTA London.

Right now I just want word on the next GTA (episodes don't count).

Tokyo would be super boring. It's too congested.

Hmmm I suspect you could be right sir, but my inability to admit i was wrong is saying put a wager on it.

Did you ever play the Getaway on PS2? I think that was a very good replica of GTA, it was in London and featured real cars.

I'd like the next installation to feature San Andreas because I had so much fun in the last San Andreas based game. Other than that, I'd like to see Vice City, I never played GTA: Vice City but it seems like a rather fun setting.

I'm guessing GTA5, wherever its set, will be an 18 rating. You're 12, and will not be 18 by 2010, so you shouldn't even be playing it.

God I love your smart comments. Last time I checked Eric was 13 though. I suggest you dont look at my age if you feel that way about his age.

That was a fantastic game. Black Monday was a bit short though.
I voted London as well as it would be petty cool to have it somewhere in the UK. Although, Glasgow would be more suitable for a game with gangs and shooting and stuff :sly:

I've also been playing GTA games since I was 6. My parents and my older bro were ok with that.

He's not wrong though, is he?

It's interesting to note the number of Warnings/Infractions issued to people who have played GTA while much younger than the certificate.

Makes you wonder if Jack Thompson doesn't have the semblence of a point (even if he does pursue it in an intensely ridiculous manner).

No he's not.

What do you mean by that? Did he get a warning for discussing illegal stuff eg. Playing games rated 15 at age 6? Or are you trying to say something else, im lost Famine:confused:.

I meant exactly the words on the page.

I would neither tell you if he had or had not - but remember that in many countries the certificate is merely an advisory rather than a legal requirement and that parents are the best people to judge what is suitable for their children. I wouldn't class playing games when you don't meet the certificate as "discussing illegal stuff".

That's rubbish. Completely. I hope you know it, too.

Look at the respondents in this thread. Look at the ones who have Warnings/Infractions (easier for me to do, granted). Look at the ones who have said they play GTA games while much younger than their certificate.

There seems to be somewhat of a correlation. I note only that it's interesting and imply no causative relationship.

His right.. they have infractions / warnings...

I played GTA from about 12 - 13 i think.. when did GTA III come out on PS2? But i was always more mature then everyone else.

Hopefully somewhere really colorful like Vice City or even Hawaii.
One thing is for sure, the next one NEEDS to have a full co-op campaign and everything that we had in San Andreas. The GTA4 campaign was a massive disappointment. It was missing everything fun from Vice City and San Andreas. Saints Row 2 had all of those missing fun items and SR2 was a full drop in drop out co-op campaign. You can do everything together in SR2.

I never got a warning/infraction. I have my parents permission and my older brother who has the GTA's.
