Where did you get those numbers, once again read the entire thread before you put your little whimsical thought into it. Also I know what we're talking about and my comment isn't about pre-orders after the prefix gives away the notion of what is being done, be nice if you give me the intellectual respect I'm giving you. What I was talking about believe it or not, is that the games wont make the pre-order amount of GT5 and more people will buy it day of release or after, which is the scenarios I gave. Once again lack of games make new consoles a nice paper weight really fast, but no one would ever do that.:boggled:
You really don't know a lot about game sales, no offence, by that logic everyone will sell their ps4s and go back to ps3, most people that own ps4s sold their ps3s, ps4 has a ton of games coming in early 2014 and indies will release almost every week, so no, the chances of getting bred of a next gen console and going back to last gen won't happen unless they are hardcore GT fans, go to vgchartz or any other website with pre-order numbers, my previous post states facts, pre-orders go up the closer the release usually, check more games than one, i used to work in retail, with no knowledge about marketing and pre-order counts you shouldn't make your opinions sound like facts, check the internet and learn something about pre-orders.

According to vgchartz

Last week preorder count of GT6 35,160 / GT5 2 weeks before launch pre-orders: 11,550
This week 72,786 / GT5 1 week before launch pre-orders: 23,820
Understand yet?

Looks like Gran Turismo 6 Anniversary Edition has sold out in Canada on GameStop website. not sure if they will have that version in store on launch date, I was going to cancel my pre-order and pick up in store until I realized not all versions sold by GameStop where anniversary edition. I BETTER GET MY GT6 FIX on DEC 6th OR I BE :banghead:

Just cancelled my preorder in Canada to get the tax-free version on the PSN Store :) I'll get less goodies but the game will be available at 12:01 AM on the 6th! hehe

They're still accepting Anniversary pre-orders in-store in Toronto as recently as Saturday. I was asked about it when I picked up my FM5 LCE down in the core. So far as I know, any pre-order made in store is automatically upgraded to the AE.

Once again the numbers not being solid facts have been proven already by @Scaff if you have issue with believing that and wish to still be a smart ass, take it up with him. This isn't a bias for one side or the other though as some of you dogmatic fans make it out to be or some of the extremist anti fans do as well. Read the entire thread before you chime with what you may think is a paragon of a post.

As for sales, I never made myself out to be some aficionado I'm telling you that people on here and IRL have said they went back to the old system due to lack of games they are interested in. It's really a subjective matter, and you don't need to be a hardcore GT fan to want to play it. A sim racing fan in general is all that is needed. Also I never laid claim that everyone would do this, the you came to that estimation of what I think, though I gave a list of various scenario not just the one you took issue with. So obviously I see more factors than what you wish to make me out as. Also how do you know most people sold their PS3 to buy a PS4? Do you have something to tell you that people did this, some type of chart perhaps? Also just because you might have, your utility isn't everyone's by the way so it's a broad assumption yet again to say what you just have and then ridicule me based on your opinion. Also you stating opinion as fact isn't good, but you are some marketing specialist so you can, is that it?

Listen to what? first you mention GT6 pre-orders and sales, then you mention people going back from ps4 to ps3, then you mention that sim racing fans in general is all that is needed, make up your mind about what exactly you're asking, with no reasearch outside GTPlanet you claim to be correct?
My reply was about game pre-order sales oging up the closer they get to release, then you started mentioning the PS4 which has nothign to do with what i said, they will still go up regardless, you have no idea what you want to talk about, reply when you make up your mind, i'll try to answer,
You listen to people on a forum instead of the numbers confirmed by retailers/publishers.
How is that an opinion if i just clearly wrote the the facts and a source? I think you understood fact and opinion as the opposite.

VGChartz numbers aren't confirmed by retailers. They are more often than not made up entirely (under the guise of "guesses"), then changed after the fact when confirmed numbers are made available (unless they aren't, at which point the guesses remain as if they are fact).

Again, i said it's usually the case, not always, how is that an opinion if i just clearly wrote the the facts and a source? facepalm.

Read what at @Tornado said, I told you to read the thread like others do, and you rather not and just keep saying what you want more loudly cause you can't possibly be wrong. The numbers aren't confirmed by Devs or retailers and if they are then please show us where.

I pre-ordered mine from the Future Shop on Ottawa at the Sunrise Center in K-town. There's still stock.

I agree with Tornado on that one, however they are still close to the real numbers, everyone knows VGChartz numbers aren't 100% correct, they give you an idea in what approximate range the numbers are.
Pre-orders going up the closer the release is still a fact however, which was my point from the beginning, i'm talking about games in general and not just GT6.

VGChartz numbers should really have some sort of citation. As far as valid data goes they make no mention of any of the key features like how the data was obtained, where you can find breakdowns of such data and the date of accuracy.

Once again no one is denying that GT6 is probably getting Pre-orders, however we instead said you can't quantify it and the criteria this site uses can't either. So since we have no solid factual number just the notion that yes it is increasing, we don't know how close or how far off they are from GT5 or any other GT and the notion of this thread being made is stupid. It was created by an OP that wanted to have an argument against GT6 due to being heavily anti-GT and now the numbers climb and the fans want to use it.

ebGames is sold out of the anniversary edition of the game it looks like. But the one on GameStop still shows they have the anniversary edition available. Do you think if I order from GameStop I would get sent out an anniversary edition 100% for sure?

Kinda sucks that I gotta pay for S&H but I really want the anni edition.

thanks guys

If you didn't and they said you would, you would certainly have grounds to raise a stink over the matter and get one regardless.

This is true. I've placed in my preorder anyway, hope it arrives nice and fast and that it's the anniversary edition!

Do you guys have those in Canada, if so why not go directly to them and buy it?

It's very unlikely you won't be able to track down an AE in Canada on release day.
I'm not saying that, either. I'm saying that it's a better idea to try to find one now, and assure yourself before Dec. 6th finally rolls around. As I said, I pre-ordered my GT6 copy from Future Shop. As far as I know, it will also be the 15AE version since it's a pre-order. I certainly hope so, because I would like the Apex book 2.0.

Canadian version is same as American, therefore it's just the normal game with a special receipt that has DLC codes.

Isn't the AE15 exclusive to ebgames/gamestop in NA?

I called in to the one near my house and they said that they're sold out

edit - sorry for the double post
