Blancpain doesn't seem to be on CBS Sports...
I watched it,they showed most of the important parts but they need to improve the editing. The cut to commercial at 59:30 after 3 corners then returning leaving 4 minutes out of the broadcast was a serious wtf, then later in the race they went Capt.Picard in the shuttle craft back in time 5 minutes and re-aired a few laps. The Endurance round at Silverstone next week is listed at 5pm EST-5/25 but will only be a 1 hr highlight show.

Glad to see it get some tv air time. I'd have to double my cable bill to get CBS sports though :(

I watched the last couple of laps of the Qualification Race. I thought Proczyk (Grasser) did brilliantly. Sad theirs only one Ferrari in Montermini/Salquarda but they did well to get a top 10 place.

Did you get the autograph?

Yup...

Zanardi's is the neat one at the bottom :D

On a total aside, how exactly do Gran Turismo record the engine sounds for their cars?

One of the reasons I haven't bought GT6 is because of yet again the sound design being poor. And it's proven here - the new GT3 cars sound AWFUL. I saw videos on Youtube of the BMW Z4 GT3 in-game, and it sounded like a microwave, being drowned out merely by tire squeal. Compare that to my video above, or any video you can find online of the Z4 GT3 IRL - it's a brutal beast of a car, roaring and snarling like the sound of untamed fury.

How hard can it be to record a good sound for this car?

All the Brands Hatch videos seem to be region locked. Is there anywhere they have posted them with out the region lock?

I'm gutted :(

Was going to go to Silverstone this weekend for Blancpain but something's popped up and now I can't go :(

Plans to use it in blancpain and Super GT GT300 class. Autosport says as many as 3 will be in GT300 next year.

I could see this in DTM- if that is the plan.

Whilst the DTM / SGT tie up means a Lexus DTM car might be a possibility/probability, if it's GT300 eligible (I think I'm right in saying that) it won't be built to DTM specification at all.

That second pick looks close to the old SC430 in profile. Thats right though. The GT500 Lexus is the equivalent of DTM spec.

That RC-F is a GT3 car, so, as two others have already pointed out, no DTM for it.

I expect to also see that car at select VLN rounds and the Nurb24, in addition to the planned Blancpain and GT300 entries.

I've been watching this Blancpain Endurance Series stuff on CBS Sports Network. This is all very cool racing. I've been so used to the older times of FIA GT Championship that I tend to think of this series a bit differently. Then again, these have all been different generations of GT racing. I do enjoy watching those highlights. Haven't seen each installment in their entirety, but I do love seeing these cars and these fine tracks they race on.

The road-going one took some getting used to, what with essentially what looked like the P1's face grafted on a 12C. In reality, the 650S is actually the 12C's replacement, and I'm just fine with that.

With this car, it was love at first site.

Hawt.

The 12C GT3 was rarely the cream of the crop in GT3, it had awkward dimensions and couldn't utilise its electronic goodies which forced too much work on the chassis itself. I am all but certain that the 650S GT3 will be a better kick at the can, McLaren now know what does and doesn't work and that's going to show when they don't have a fire, crash and finish will off the pace in it's maiden race, because that's what happened for the 12C GT3 back at the 2011 Spa 24.
