I didn't have chance to play Tokyo before, today was my first go at this track. It really is a great track, especially in a clean online race!

Best way to end the beta.

Oh Tokyo has arrived. Looks a lot better than it did but still don't like how the buildings look. New wind noise in the tunnels. It's a very good time trial circuit but wouldn't want to race on it.

Racing is quite good. There are some spots to overtake. Usually most of the people are to fast and understeer into the walls. That is where you can gain advantage by not doing so. ;)

    Isn't it too chaotic?

EU region here.....I have a blank box on the left (race A) saying there's no available event, GR4 Dragon Tail in the middle and GR3 Brand Hatch on the right.
Is this normal? I haven't played Tokyo yet.

Could be the end of the beta. I think it is scheduled to end in a few hours.

Can't tell if it was chaotic since I was in all races in the first three places. The gap was quite huge between me and the rest of the grid. But the track is partial wide enough to overtake. So the chaos depends on the lack of patience of each driver. ;)

So.. the beta just ended. What am I going to do with my life now?! So much free time suddenly. :scared:

I really enjoyed being a part of it, had so many great races and also gave a lot of feedback to PD through the forums and bug report. Can't wait to see how much of that will actually be seen in the final game, should be interesting. In any case, I really can't wait for it. Hope that beta in August is a thing, the wait till october will be long otherwise. Even though F1 2017 is releasing next month, should keep me busy untill then I guess.

I raced it earlier, maybe you missed it.

Speaking of that, unsurprisingly it hasn't really changed but I swear the lighting felt somehow different. Can't explain what but it didn't seem the same way as it was before.

What the hell? Is there no option to pit for fuel? I ran out halfway through my 1st Brands race (Hi EDK haha) and it never gave an option to refuel or anything.

Exactly the same happened to me then I was disqualified for no reason other than having no fuel weirdly.

Same thing happened to me, everyone in the lobby lost fuel and I was stuck on 80 km/h for the last few laps, only one person made it to the finish line.

Yeah so i had to conserve fuel by switching the fuel option to 6, and not letting the engine rev past halfway on that bar. Ended up winning by a little under a half second after dropping to 6th.

Yeah as it turned out key to finishing that Gr3 fuel economy race at Brands Hatch GP was staying in fuel map 6 and doing many short shifts. More fuel is used with high RPM's. :) Ran out of fuel in my first race there as well, though I won the second one and got 2nd in the last one. It's quite interesting to race like that, but it should be a lot more fun with pitstops in the final game.

I don't know, I was putting down some consistant lap times (no short shifting) while in Fuel Map 6 and still managed to finish. Not sure if me having mah bimmer was a difference maker or not (That or I was managing my throttle well to have no wheel spin)

Yeah I managed to catch it as well. I'll be posting a review of the beta soon detailing the pros and cons. But overall -- pretty positive.

Since I'm not going to be all that fast in the Gr. 3 races anyway, for the last two races of the beta, I'm going to run in the back and let whoever is clean pass to show appreciation for all of the great racers. Maybe doing that will bump up deserving folks driver ratings a letter and makes people's final memories of the beta all the more better :gtpflag:

I feel like they brought back Tokyo today just for me <3 Some great racing today, happened to get 3 straight 2nd places, then the baby woke up :ouch:

And I finally got promoted to A, woo!

Really enjoyed the beta, can't wait for GT:S!

While my GR.4 races weren't spectacular, the final GR.3 ones were amazing. I got into an interesting battle with multiple cars trying to save fuel in one race, while I managed to make a clean pass on the outside of turn 3 and ended up winning my final race in the Beta after starting 3rd.

I felt like my previous ones was just pure luck, but this one I felt I really did work for. It was great racing with some of you guys whenever I could

Had a beautiful last race of the Closed Beta. First lap was hectic and dropped from 4th to 5th because of fuel saving mode, but then one by one each car ahead went off track and never recovered, so I got to first by the end of lap 1. For the whole race I was racing TheDeStrOyer_24's Audi R8 LMS, and he stayed on me for at least half the race before he made an error and lost 8 seconds. He got up to around I think 4 seconds before he ran out of fuel which cemented my victory. Here's the video of the race.

Hopefully there's an open beta or something else so I can actually take advantage of it and fix my lines instead of taking a month break in between actual racing sessions. Finished the beta going from D / C, to B / S in 5 races.

Just come back from the doctors and apparently got a severe case of GTS. There is no known cure as yet but they expect a cure by 17th of October.
Symptoms to look out for are, staring wistfully at the GTS screen and making strange mumbling noises, some have even been known to play
Assetto Corsa or P Cars but they will also be cured in October.
Game purchased now settle down for the long wait.
