In terms of the Aston GTR or whatever it's called, if you look at the grille, wing vents and tail lights they look similar to that on a V8 Vantage. I'd say it was trying to look like one of them.

Yeah, racing modification was one of the things I missed the most in Gt3.

The V8 Vantage looks like the Virage as well, but I think it's a Vantage with a Virage engine like Famine said.

Just the option of adding a GT style rear wing and changing the rim size would be good enough IMO. It was annoying having cars with collosal power with no grip or downforce. It doesn't matter if you've got racing slick tyres if they're are 185/60/14! They also looked crap being so small.

True.
When you change the exaust system, it should at least look slightly different from the stock part. Same with weight reduction, you should be able to see a roll cage.
Ok, do you really think that Polyphony would add body kits to the game, without that part affecting the aerodynamics, or something? They are not just going to add body kits, just for aesthetics. Furthermore, they would most likely be big name body kits from trusted racing manufacturers. The way you guys talk about it, you make it sound like it's going to be like NFSU (It's not!). Also, I would love it, if the 3rd stage weight reduction installed a visible roll bar. The exhaust, and rim size I also have wanted since GT2. I hope Polyphony is listening. Just out of curiousity, has anyone sent a link to this site, to Polyphony?Originally posted by Rport03
Yea Id rather see all of that than body kits and so on and so forth, more towards the racing and less towards the cosmetics... expect rims, tires and other such things that actually affect the cars performance....

Agreed, but I think they might have been able to get ABT or Brabbus (I don't think I spelled it right). I hope they get some Euro kits, so I can give my MK4 GTI an ABT kit.Originally posted by Race Idiot
Well that makes sense, but I bet if they did include them they would be mainly for Japanese cars. I doubt they would have many, or any for American/European cars.
Yeah, ABT have some cool ****. Also I own a 91' (MK2) Jetta GLI. I want to swap in a 1.8T someday, hopefully. I do however like the MK3's and 4's. The VR6 is too heavy though IMO. It makes the car very nose heavy. That's why I want the 1.8T. Better for carving the mountain passes.Originally posted by Race Idiot
ABT are the guys who do the DTM Audis aren't they? as for the MK4 Golfjust give me a MK3 VR6, or the original GTi.
Brabbus and AC Schnitzer might be good.

Correct, I forget how to spell things sometimes. Also, I wouldn't mind some ABD racing stuff in the game, or Eurosport. I would just like it if eventually they started using real life parts (using the real stats for each individual part), so each companies part may not effect the car the same as another companies. I think that would bring some more depth to it. I don't expect anything like that though, at least not until GT5.Originally posted by Famine
I could be mistaken, but - as with Ruf, which is often mis-typed as RUF - is ABT not Abt, named after DTM driver Cristiano Abt?
(and Brabus has only one b in the middle - but like Ruf they aren't tuners, they are manufacturers).

The racing modification isn't a real thing, race cars have body kits. The difference is the type of kit, a body kit can improve your cars performance, it can improve your cars looks or it can do both, kits made to improve performance are better called aero kits and they would be good in GT4, anything other than that (especially stuff by Veilside) should be kept well away.

I think Polyphony should use the TXR3 idea, and include a paint editor. However, it should be a far better editor than what is in TXR3. This way I can just make the car look like whatever I want it to. I can make it look like a real life D1 car, or create my own car, right down to the decals. I am a pixel artist, so I could create some amazing paintjobs........it makes me drool just thinking about it. This would add a huge level of replay value, and would keep me playing for ever. I could make real JGTC cars, and reinact famouse races. I hope Polyphony is listening.![]()
Still, would be cool wouldn't it.Originally posted by Rport03
Most likely theres alot of licensing and convincing the car manufacturers for doing so, I think if they dont let PD use visual car damage or possibly of the paint shop I dont think the manufacturers will let PD add that into the game..
