Gt4 Drift Video

awww... i cant play the 3rd video that was linked. the one where the filename is makoto. well i can play it, just not very well. the video is very choppy. anyone know why this is?

The first 2 from the original post might have been locked but the "makoto" video is 900 degrees. It even says at the start of the video .. and if you look at the steering icon you can see it rotates all the way around.

I was watching the HKS Genki Silvia movie, and I couldnt help but notice the engine sounds exactley like a tuned skyline engine...does the the real HKS silvia have a RB26 Powerplant?

I'm almost positive the HKS D1 Silvia used an SR20. However, that car isn't being used anymore.. so I guess it doesn't matter too much

About the videos that were posted though, it looks like he's using the wheel (if he's using a wheel) in 200 degree mode. Psshhhhh.... real men use 900 degrees!! (like the guy in the D1 Silvia vid)

The best wheel is the Logitech Driving Force Pro, it was made for GT4 and plays in 900 degree mode.

With 180 enabled the wheel on that display still rotates 900, it's just the rate is much quicker than 900, so he had it on 900 but only needed to rotate 180.

I think you are insinuating that he was drifing with the 900 degree wheel, but toggled to 180 mode so he would only have to rotate 180 and thus be able to spin the wheel that quickly?

That is possible to do, to switch to 180 and allow for yourself to turn that much quicker, but I've tried this and its awkard, if the wheel supports 900, you'll want to use 900, unless you can software toggle it for 180 settings. I doubt the driver did this. I also drift in 900 degree mode, and the speed he swings the wheel back and forth and where it opposite locks to is in the same locations where I'd be doing them too, that took alot of practice and skill to do. Flawless.

It looks to me like only the Supra drifting video was done with a 180 degree wheel. The other videos used 900 degrees. In the Supra video you can see were the wheel locks and doesn't go more than 90 degrees left or right. That driver must have been using the older wheels or switched the game to 180 for his wheel. Its obvious that it is in 180 degree, because opposite locking requires turning the wheel more than just 90 degrees.

180? Ugh, is it only 900 or 180? the average wheel is 200 MS Sidewindwer was a perfect 270.

Ah yes, it's made using a 180 degree wheel and not the DFP seeing as the steering icon doesn't go the full lock to lock as it would if it was a DFP set to 180.
