Here are raw codes for GT4 NTSC

A-Spec Total Mileage = 0
20A0C248 00000000

B-Spec Total Mileage = 0
20A0C250 00000000

Note: The value of the miles isn't simply in hex like some codes are so unsure how to create a specific mile other than 0.

Nice to see the hybrid community is still kicking strong :)
Interesting idea about changing the car settings during a race. It can't be done with the codes we already have but it's possible that there is another memory location we could use.
I remember once finding two memory areas that looked like a copy of the car setup, but modifying the values did nothing. I just haven't tried modifying them in a middle of a race.

Okay, fine! I give up! I need help.

I'm making another FGT killer, but I can't do anything about its horrifying wheelspin! Sixth gear goes up to 250, and it spins the whole way up! Any suggestions?

Lemme know your specs:
Car, Engine, HP, Drivetrain, Transmission, Weight, Downforce settings, etc...
remember you can put up to 255 downforce.
final drive of .1 is interesting too

*sigh*

Car: 82 Honda CRX
Engine: Skyline R32 GT-R
HP: 972
Transmission: Custom NSX
Weight: 555 KG
Downforce: 123 front, 155 back
Drivetrain: Formula GT
Wheels: FGT

Off the top of my head I would, up the downforce 130/190, or it could be as simple as raising the ride height, and changing tires, widen the gearbox, and add some ballast weight nearer the drive wheels. Also most road cars won't accept the FGT wheels very well, the wheels are too wide and the inside of the wheels keep rubbing the car body.

I'll work with that car later today, to see exactly where the issue lies.

EDIT: Alright, my 1st issue, is I am unable to find a '82 CR-X, but I have found the following:
  • '92 Honda CR-X del Sol SiR (stock 169 HP)
  • '90 Honda CR-X Sir (stock 160 HP)
  • '83 Honda BALLADE SPORTS CR-X 1.5i (stock 110 HP)

So I will install the same upgrades (to all three), and tweak it out from there one by one.

EDIT pt. II:
Not sure where the problem lies, unless you didn't include a MR LSD.
I used:
Car: Honda CR-X del Sol SiR '92
Engine: Nissan SKYLINE GT-R Vspec II (R32) `94
Power Multiplier: 200.8%
Transmission: Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car `02
Drivetrain: Formula Gran Turismo `04
LSD: Formula Gran Turismo `04
Front & Rear Tires: Formula Gran Turismo `04
Downforce: 123/155
Weight Multiplier: 57%
972 HP - 551kg

It runs good, although it's max speed is only about 231MPH without NOS, and I can squeak it up to about 250-ish with full NOS. When I max out the ride height (168/168) I only wheelspin at full throttle in 1st & 2nd gears, at 75-80% throttle I don't get any wheelspin. So I got to assume that your LSD is still FF settings, which doesn't help a RWD at all.

Oops...locked up my gamesave with a lot of good hybrids. I guess the Formula can't accept rims :grumpy:

um anyway to say 'sell the first car' in the save? Or is there a stock rim code??

Hmm, I'll look into it... Funny yesterday I corrupted my savegame, by not being patient before resetting, lost probably 20ish hybrids. Being a bad cheater, didn't follow the cardinal rule of backing-up always and often.

Does it lock up before you get to the main screen?? If not just buy another car, and get-in so you can get back into your garage, with-out lockup. Or try the codes below:
Default rims for setup A, second code 20A1FC3C 0000001D
Default rims for setup B, second code 20A1FC44 0000001D
Default rims for setup C, second code 20A1FC4C 0000001D

I have not tested the codes above, but they seem legitimate. Please confirm if these work...

BTW- I dig your avatar, very cool!!

Hmm, maybe I did forget to give it an LSD...

No, I gave it the one from a Jag XJ220. That was supposed to be a filler for the time being. When Ii get home, I'll swap it out for an FGT LSD.

Any way, thanks for your help. When I update my gallery, I'll credit you for this one.

The game get stuck at the load up screen with the red/blue bar on top and the 'timer' spinning 'til the end of time :dunce:

hmm. second code? is there a first part? from the GT4 table perhaps? 00A1F8C0 ?? I converted the default rim Setup A to ARmax but it didn't work.

yeah, I copy/pasted the light bar from the GT-R pace car onto a Camaro, then alternated 'sprayed' the headlights so that it'll flash off and on.

It turned out better than I thought!

I have my game up now, so now I can tell you all of it.

'83 Honda Ballade Sports CR-X
Skyline GT-R R32 Engine: All permanent mods applied.
Horsepower modifier: enough to get up to 992 HP.
Wheels: FGT F/R
Transmission: '02 NSX Type R
Drivetrain: FGT
LSD: FGT
Downforce: 155/175
Weight multiplier: 75%
Power: 992
Weight: 600
Torque: 798

And now it still wheelspins in sixth gear. Handles slightly better, though.

^^
Will look into it tomorrow.

Sorry, just copy&pasted from the GT4_Table_NTSC.xls, with little thought, while researching further.

Unfortunatly I find rim references in multiple locations, which is why I usually don't mess with them

Still can't find too much info on rims modding, but I had another thought, you could try to change the chassis value, to a car that you can change the rims on. That may trick the game long enough to sell the car. Yet again I haven't messed with the chassis value too much, but if it works anything like GT3 hybridding, it should do the trick.

Other than that I'm at a loss,

Changing chassis won't work, as I used an RX-8 chassis on the Model T. All it did was change the wheelbase, and the weight of an RX-8.

There oughta be a code when the car is sold and the 'garage' is empty somewhere.

Thanks for your help GrumpeOne.

:EDIT: I already started another Hybrid garage lol

sweet, got the gamesave to unlock! I used Rim Setup A 20A1F8C0 FFFFFFFF

from the GT4 Table NTSC, says to use FFFFFFFF as a value to remove part.

20A1F8C0 is location for Rim set up A.

as soon as the garage loaded I saved immediately!

A quick question this time.

I was inspired by Gnome, and I hybrided a Model T. (Not, it's not going into my gallery. Yet.)

Problem is, the 2 speed is useless. And I can't get another tranny to work. So, um, halp?

I used the 7 speed listed in the beginning of this topic.

Transmission - GTR LM (7spd)
10A1F818 00000E06

ARMax (NTSC)
4QJF-PZZE-2PT00
JDB9-KJVQ-VGP7H

Well, I'll try it again.

EDIT: Oh, wow, hey, it actually worked. Sveet sanks.

EDIT2: Here's an interesting observation. It seems that PD neglected to give the Model T a drag coefficient. My 375 hp Model T can reach a max top speed of 235 MPH.

Perhaps at such a lightweight car, 375hp will propel the Model T to such speeds.

Try using an NSX chassis, whose wheelbase is about the same as the Model T.

that '83 CR-X, wheelspins quite a bit, works better as a wheelie machine dragster with super wide 1st 2 gears. But drives way better with the Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car `02 transmission

I'll see what I can do, and I'll pick another car for my FGT beater.

I've noticed that most cars, if they can beat an FGT, are somewhat worse in the tire life department.

Hey how's everyone doing? :) Does anyone know how to convert memory address values that are too long down to 8 numbers that will work on gameshark?

For example:
20A17270 ?? ?? ?? ?? 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 00
20A17280 00 00 00 00 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 04 00 04

If I can get an example of how to convert those 2 values to 2 gameshark codes I should be able to have a bspec code done and will be able to repost it. Thanks!

From the address above, to replicate those values try:

20A17270 ????????
20A17274 00040004
20A17278 00040004
20A1727C 00040000

20A17280 00000000
20A17284 00040004
20A17288 00040004
20A1728C 00040004

Are these codes from Speed Drifter's table??

Hey GrumpEone........I have one for you:
Do you have the codes to unlock these cars in the NTSC GT4 game, they are from the PAL version.......

Vauxhall Astra Super Touring Car `00
Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car `94
Vauxhall Corsa Comfort 1.4 `01
Vauxhall Tigra 1.6i `99
Vauxhall Vectra 3.2 V6 `03
Vauxhall VX220 `00
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo `00

I unlocked cars that were blocked from the NTSC game for GT2 and GT3, so I believe it should be possible in GT4 as well

Hey grump! How r ya man? I got ya reply. I just noticed too ur post on here. U just might be onto something man! Yea..I'm going by speed's table. How r u getting those sequential memory addresses? It looks like ya just adding 4 to them? Does that hold true all the way through them? Oh yea and too...where there's no values would u just not use that address? Thanks again man!
