Why don't GT sample pictures have vivid/deep environment colours? They always look pastel in these pictures. Car colours almost always look deeper.

Yeah it is really massive and legendary i was there 7 times (and will go there many more times), and then i couldnt imagine how big it is. There are only a few places where you can really see the track. But the Nordschleife has it all, it goes up and down, narrows, tight corners, long Straits and challenging chicanes.

I think so, looks quite similar to a piece of the nurb on pgr2, only onw way to find out lol

Just checked on pgr2, and that is VERY similar to a piece of track on the nurb, about 3/4s of the way though, infact I'm sure its the same piece of track, same hills, same shape track, tress in same place etc

Do we have no German members who can teach us the correct pronunciation? My dad speaks fluent German so maybe I should ask him.

Those shots look uber cool, it seems pretty open and shut the full ring will feature. I imagine this was a decision made to fight the popularity of PGR2 really, KY might have stated it wouldn't happen but after PGR2 decided he'd better match the competition at their best and beat them on the rest.

Let me tell you, I'm not really good at the Nurburgring, but this track is probably the greatest in Germany. Of course when I said that, I was thinking about the high speeds of good old Hockenheim. I don't know what PGR2 is like. I've never played it, and I don't see myself owning an XBOX anytime soon, even if they are retired and put in the bargain bin. PGR2 is XBOX's Gran Turismo. Just more on aracde style than the arcade-but-sill-carries-a-serious-degree-of-realism of Gran Turismo. GT4 will OWN other racing games. GT4 will have a big belt ready to spank the a$$es of lesser racing games. Good grief I can't wait for this game!

The "Ring" is certainly the most beautiful track in the world and it was necessary to have it in GT4.
If it would not have been the case, it would have missed a lot (for Ringers at least ).

In fact I really hope to see other tracks like the ring...

but this is so nice to imagine...

when I remember the time I spent on Complex String... I can not even imagine how long I will play GT4 ....

but Im' not sure I'll play deepforest or trail mountain anymore !!!!

( one bad thing is that it seems they revealed more than half of the GT4 final car list... and I still miss some cars I would like to play with ..)

b-boy, you already visit the real ring, can you tell us if GT4 one is accurate ? or at least more than PGR2 ? ( so far it looks accurate but can you confirm ?)

Of course, most German tracks have 'Ring at the end of their titles, but the Nurburgring is the only one refered to commonly as The 'Ring.

It is called "Nürburgring Nordschleife".
Most people mean the "new" GP circuit when they refer to the "Nürburgring", while the "Nordschleife" has been a GP circuit in it's time, but since it became defunct as official racing track apart from the VLN, 24H and some one-make championships people refer to it as "Nordschleife".

It's 180km away from where I'm typing these words. Considering the autobahn connection I could relatively comfortable be there within 90 minutes.
