if this game did not have the gran turismo name behind it everyone of you would be going what the hell is this.i mean 800 cars with ps2 graphic.and now they have been updated with ps2 style interiors.this is 2011 not 2001.i am a gran turismo nut but this has just done my head in.bought the ps3 for this then bought the 300 dollar limited edition pack and a year later they are still fixing the game.most companies dont bring out half made games.they would be bringing out dlcand not making this many patches.this would have to be a record game for patches on the ps3 surely.just shows that this game just has to many bugs.anyone got a time machine.take me back to the greatest car game of all Gran Turismo 2.

PD actually listened to what most of us were complaining about, and addressed the most popular concerns. This is almost unheard of regarding corporations reacting to their customers complaints. Big thumbs up to PD for listening.

I don't understand how people can complain about something that makes GT better and adds features, for free on top of that.

If you're "disappointed" by this update, then there is no pleasing you. I particularly love the comment the OP made about the new NASCARs all being the same. Guess what dude? In real life, all NASCARs are the same...thats kind of the point.

Actually, most companies these days do bring out buggy half assed games, then fix them later. Codemasters released a buggy as **** game and never fixed it (F1 2010) and then just released the next version of the game (F1 2011) with the fixes. Test Drive Unlimited 2, didnt work properly for weeks, and still doesnt half the time, was released in a state where it was genuinely broken, (not just ooh why isnt this feature in /cry). If you look at any major release of the last few years, many of them have been released buggy, and many of them have been left that way.

I basically said the same thing (using Forza as an example). Guess all we can do is hope for a better tomorrow lol

As for the black interiors, actually I think I like them more than "full" ones (mainly because we get big instrumentation like in the bumper view, and the driver's hands are not visible) although PD could have bothered to make hoods visible as well (it's quite obvious on cars with long hoods that something is missing, besides interior detail).
I expected more for many other aspects of the game for this patch, however.
That's why you should get a job.
Personally it's not that I can't afford DLC, but I find it way too overpriced for the content.
It's about the value one puts on his money.

I've been viewing this forum for years.

So you guys asked for pitch black interior? Can I see the thread?

Big thread, use the search function. Many people asking for a GT PSP type affair with basic cockpits for every car.

Wow... One can only wonder what wouldve happened had we asked for Premium interior................. :|

Shall do a search!

mmmmm a better tomorrow.lol.thats right forza comes out tomorrow here in australia.might fire up the 360

Maybe your's are too low...

No, mine are just right where they are. Nothing I wanted much actually, just a better experience, and I got that.

Maybe perhaps you should too.

God, people are becoming like petulant children on these forums.

No offence intended, and we're all entitled to our opinions, but I honestly don't think that that's the point. It does not mean that if a product is 'free', it should be of substandard quality.

+ it isn't exactly free... you still had to buy the game to begin with, and many would argue this update just gives you stuff that should have always been in the game.

Thanks for adding on - exactly what I wanted to say! =)

You won't get disappointed if you don't expect anything.

Thanks for sharing your views. No offence intended; my opinion is that if we pay substantially for a product, we should get what is reasonably expected. I think that quite a number of GT5 gamers feel that the game, while it has its positives, leaves much to be desired in many areas. Good that PD is fixing them, but other peripheral issues (such as the content on the exorbitantly priced DLC), which should, imo, have reasonably been included in a mid-life update, instead of being paid, are disappointing.

I can't believe how people can be disappointed with Spec II, seriously...(not talking about DLC)
