Just be careful that you don't remain frozen for too long because then there might be no more Gran Turismo

Hey, the good thing is, even if he's frozen an extra decade, he'll probably only miss one more game

I stopped liking boxes when I was 7.

Must... resist... urge... to make joke.

It seems no Canadian retailers are carrying it, but Gamestop's US site will infact ship to Canuckstan. Not looking forward to a $20 shipping charge, though.

Making fun of homosexuals is most certainly not allowed by the AUP!

I was actually going to go down the "really? that's when I started to!" route, but figured 7's a bit dicey

A special ultimate edition for 189??? Why is this so expensive?

Because it's fake. If it wasn't advertised for the US or Japan, i doubt France would get something like that before any other country, espescially considering the US is getting the first release (and the buggiest one).

Edit: They don't even have a picture for it, when theres a pic for both the Standard and CE version. There is no UE version.

So to any other members who are up in the Great White North, wondering if we'll get the CE at all, stopped by GameStop today and they told me that they haven't had a definite answer either way. I was told an absolute decision will be made in a month or so.

If you really want it then, I suggest preordering elsewhere, to be safe.

you will get the codes on the receipt when you go to pick it up on the 2nd of November. A simple read on the website would have given you this information...

kay. just had to point out that theres many avenues for the info ;). But, yay for preordering from GamStop! It better be worth it (the prorder bonus better not be included with the 5 DLC cars in my CE)

Hey Guys,GameStop's Pre-Order Car is Joey Logano's #20 Nationwide Car (With GT5 Livery)
EDIT:You Also Get A Stealth McLaren F1 With Pre-Order.

So, is anyone else a little confused about these DLC cars?

You get a voucher for 5 DLC cars with custom liveries if you get the CE, but some of the retail places (Amazon, Gamestop, etc) are including these with the purchase of the game.

So, does this mean that whoever gets the CE will get all of the cars that are being offered as exclusive content? But if you do not get the CE, you only get the cars specified for that retailer?

I preordered the "standard" edition today, not the "premium"

$40 more for a booklet and 5 cars painted in GT colors with a stage 1 weight reduction wasn't worth it for me

And a quality diecast GT-R Spec V w/GT livery.
And a GT keychain. :sly:

You are absolutely incorrect, the booklet is approximately 300 pages, you get a GT key chain, authencity certificate, a big box, 5 DLC cars, and most importantly THE 1:43 diecast GTR made specifically for GT5 which alone retails for around 40 dollars if you check the kyosho website which makes them.

What is funny is the diecast alone is worth $40 :p
Anyway I pre-ordered the CE, gives me yet another reason to get another model car :D

That "booklet" is 300 pages.

But if it wasn't for that I wouldn't be getting it. Also, if it wasn't my birthday two days after NA release, I wouldn't be able to justify it.

Yeah I was about to say a booklet isn't 300 pages!:)

As far as I'm aware, it hasn't been confirmed by anyone that the 5 CE cars are the same as pre order vehicles. They use EXCLUSIVE with the CE. Nothing exclusive about them CE cars if you can get them just by pre-ordering.

Yes anyone who gets the CE gets all 5 of the "pre order cars" (not including the gamestop nascar). Anyone who pre orders the standard edition gets only 1 of the CE cars. A few people are going to be ebaying their vouchers I think.

You forgot the model car and numbered COA and a keyring

You could probably buy the CE and go sell the model car to recoup your losses and then some. I've been wanting to get my hands on some of the older GT cars (x2 GT LM's and the R34 skyline) but they have skyrocketed in price somewhat.

They are exclusive in the sense that you don't need to buy x5 copies of the game from x5 different retailers to get all the cars (which would cost you more than just buying the CE)

If us Europeans have to wait until the Gamescom in August to get details on the European CE (if there is one), I will have probably lost interest in it by then! The diecast model and the booklet are nice and all, but I think that the regular edition will suffice for me. Besides, I don't really feel like shelling a whopping 100+ euros for this game anymore because of the the standard/premium thing, I'm sorry to say. :indiff:

Yep, you say that now, but when the chance comes to pre-order the CE, you will do.
