EXCLUSIVE Collectors Edition (ChromeLine cars as standard)
Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gran-Turismo...f=pd_rhf_p_t_1 but they don't indicate if they include any 'Stealth' cars.
Play.com - http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStatio...n/Product.html but they don't indicate if they include any 'Stealth' cars.

I have been on at amazon and play.com all day and I'm waiting for them to answer, so hopefully they will so. I think it would be a bit of a rip off if you don't get the two stealth as well because otherwise all you get extra with the collectors is three cars and a book.
 
It says that the cromeline cars will come as DLC so does that mean it's like GTPSP where you get a redeem code to download it or does it mean you can buy it??


Sorry i mean can you buy the cromeline cars as an add on pack instead of getting any of the collector's edition?

I hope not, but maybe after a few months release you might be able to.

I like to think you can spot the GT5 fans online by their chromed up cars lol.

I think he's referring to the whole standard vs premium car thing therefore no one should use either word for fear of a ridiculous argument starting in random threads.
 
Switched to the Collector's edition now :( The Signature is just too much!

The box on collector's is also nice in my opinion. I will look again closer to release and decide then :)
 
I really wish we could get an answer whether the collectors edition contains the stealth car pack. If it did then I would switch from normal to collectors edition.

On a different note its so exciting being able to finally pre-order these editions after such a long wait.
 
So does the UK collectors edition come with the GTR di cast car model? It doesnt say.

I pre ordered the SE edition but id rather have the GTR than the SLS. Plus its cheaper.

I don't think so as its only the SE edition that has the car. However I think im right in saying the US/Canada collectors edition does contain the diecast model.
 
No toy car for the UK.
You get 5 ingame cars. Some picture cards and a magazine.

Yes and i've now pre-ordered normal & CE and will await the answer about the stealth car pack and adjust my pre-orders accordingly.

All we need now is a release date because im not convinced it will be the 2nd November. As some of you know Game stores now have the GT5 case instore with coming soon attached to it. I said to the manager isn't this earlier than normal considering the release date is November and his reply was yes. So with this in mind I wouldn't be surprised if at GC the release date is sometime in October. Im thinking something like the 22nd or 29th October. Could be completely wrong though lol.
 
Quick question. To get the stealth models offered by retailers, do you have to pre order GT5 online? Or can I pre order it at the my local store? (assuming I'm not getting it from a strictly online seller like Amazon)

Depends on the version. If its the normal version then the codes are emailed to you and these are unlikely to be available at your local store. However special editions normally have the codes inside the box so you will get these at your local store aswell.

The CE comes with the chromaline cars. The stealth cars are pre-order bonuses and each chain gets one, or 2 assigned to them.

You can order them instore. You'll most likely get the card with the codes as you pick up the game. I'm talking about the stealth cars of course.

Card? Like a USB drive or something I hook up to my PS3 that puts the car in the game somehow? Sorry, I'm kinda knew to these things as GT5 is the first game I've ever pre ordered.

The problem is the collectors edition doesn't mention the stealth car pack. If this is correct then I would actually prefer the normal version.

And why are you saying car PACK? Only the SE gets all 11 cars as a PACK.

No, just a paper card with scratch off things on them most likely.

How it will work is these cards will contain a code that you redeem and then download. Once you do this they will automatically be available in GT5.

The card will just have a code number on it. So just go to the PSN store and enter it somewhere and it will download for you :)

Instructions will be on the card or leaflet or whatever.

Im saying car pack because play.com say "with exclusive pre-order stealth car pack". All im wondering is if these 2 exclusive cars are also available in the CE. As they are pre-order bonuses you would also expect them in the CE.

I see. It simply states that you will get them with GT5 doesn't specify or eliminate any of the versions. It would be the easiest if you just called them and asked them though since no one here will know unless the site becomes more specific or someone else asks them. You seem to be very interested in it so you should call them and ask.

Trust me I wish it was that easy. I have phoned play.com before and I would be better off asking my cat. Ideally I would like the SE but I would prefer to put this money to better use i.e cockpit.

One thing is certain Sony/PD are going to make an absolute fortune from GT5.

From what I've read on the (British) retailer websites, the codes will be emailed.
