I thought I was the only one who had got that email because I posted in the "What version are you getting" thread and didn't get any replies on it.

It now seems as though most stockists in the UK are showing the launch as the 5th. I went around the websites and found the release dates from the sites below. Most have got the revised date even though there has been no official news that the UK launch would be later than the rest of Europe:

Game - 5th Nov
Gameplay - 5th Nov
GameSeek - 3rd Nov
Gamestation - 5th Nov
HMV - 26th Nov

Game, Gameplay and Gamestation are the same shop. So their info will always be identical. HMV are hopeless.

So yeah count those 3 shops as one and it doesn't seem too likely to be released on the 5th.

Someone said that some stores are already denying pre-orders cause they're all filled. You can pre-order online and use free overnight shipping. There's a code to get it free somewhere.

Well, Gamestop isn't a UK store as Dave says.

But mainly, it's because the Amazon.co.uk pre-order cars include both the Mclaren F1 and the Mazda 787B. I don't know if the 787B is even available in the US. But either way, the 787B is better than a stock car in my opinion. And I don't intend on racing stock cars online, so wheres the fun in showing off the stealth livery?

I still wanted that R10 though

EDIT: Answer to your question, there is already word that some stores are closing pre-orders for the CE. It was announced just after E3 right? That's quite a long time, and this is a very popular game.

My pre-order isn't due to be delivered until the 4th November (3rd release in the UK - Unless you go with Game ). Does anybody know if Amazon has a policy of sending games to arrive on release day?

I cancelled my CE pre-order with Amazon and went with play (delivery reasons). If CE pre-orders get the stealth cars then back to amazon it is.

Why would the JP book be written in english? In fact, the posted screens of the Apex mook already show it to be in Japanese.

Yes, CE get's the stealths as well. The again it could depend on the retailer or country. Though play.com says nothing about stealth cars with the CE.

The US version will be only about 10 pages long. That it is because Translatorsan did the actual translation from the 300page Japanese version.

If you want other stealth cars, just order a copy from HMV and just send the game back under the distance selling rules.

As for Amazon sending games out for launch day, not, they do not have such a policy, and if you opted for free delivery...

Are you sure?

I opted for first class delivery, 1-2 days. So it'll arrive on either the 4th or the 5th. I won't be able to get it until the 5th/6th anyway, as i'll have to come home that weekend from university to collect it. If i'd have gone for free delivery, I wouldn't have been able to collect it from home until the weekend after.

By the way, heres the email reply I got:

I was told that they were receiving all the versions available. Why they would stock the signature version, I don't know, but hey, more power to them.
