Nice one Seizmica, I've ordered CE from amazon UK. Not to bothered about the stealths but anymore cars is fine by me.

Having only bonuses for the standard seems daft to me.

I hate it when you pre-order in this shop you get this and this, and if you pre-order in that shop you get this and this. There are acctually people who buy the same game from different shops, just to get all the extras. I'm also one of those who wants everything, but unfortunatly I haven't won the lottery yet, so I will just have to make a choice which extras I wanna get.

Unless Amazon can sort something out, i'm going to have to choose between the Apex book (Which I really really want) and the Stealth Mclaren F1 (Which I also really really want).

Don't make me choose. :nervous:

Well, there is a chance the pre-orders bonus cars are only for the standard version of the game. So I may have to choose between the Collector's Edition which comes with the Apex book and Chromeline cars, or the standard edition which comes with the Mclaren F1 and Mazda 787B stealth cars.

I should be able to get both, hence why I emailed Amazon about it.

Went and preordered SE put my 10 pound deposit down traded in Red Alert 3 and Pacific Rift had to show the guy my id which so happened to be my passport which he was like Wtf and said 'do you always carry your passport around' just because I look 12 :( anyways Im so excited :)

No need to worry Seismica, here's what the official UK Gran Turismo.com has to say.

Gran Turismo.com

What’s more if you pre-order your Standard or Collector’s Edition you also might be lucky enough to get hold of one of a selection of exclusive in-game vehicles including the Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model, Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model, Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model, Mazda 787B Stealth Model, McLaren F1 Stealth Model, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model.
Are you ready for the drive of your life? The Gran Turismo 5 Standard Edition, Collector’s Edition and Signature Edition for PS3 arrive this November.

Lets hope this applies to the US as well.

I'm still worried though, Amazon should have listed the offer for both versions.

But you are right, Amazon have paid (or will get a greater % from the sale) in order to offer these bonus cars exclusively. By not giving them for the CE they're effectively losing the benefit of that bonus for people wanting the Collector's Edition.

I highly doubt that they have a limited number of codes to hand out.

If it's a choice take the book.

You won't br able to download the book at a later date. The cars you will almost garanteed.

I don't want to have to pay to get the book and then pay extra at a later date to get the pre-order cars.

If i'm paying money in advance for a pre-order, I want the pre-order cars that Sony promised.

Hang on, what pre-order cars have SONY promised, exactly? Also, if you pre-order from Amazon you do not pay anything in advance of shipping.

As things stand, the situation is quite clear. The SE comes with all 11 cars, the CE comes only with ChromeLine, and the standard comes with a choice of stealth depending on where you are ordering from.

If you want the ChromeLine cars and the Stealth McLaren F1, the answer is simple. Pre-order both, and just send the standard copy back under the distance selling rules. I can tell you now, Amazon, Play and HMV will notice a significant increase in return rate with standard copies of GT5 due to people ordering multiple copies to get all codes, hence why Amazon have capped the maximum number of codes they will issue per customer.

Besides, as already said, the stealth cars will almost certainly make it as a DLC pack, and probably for free like with the PSP version.

For some reason i am not allowed to start a new thread so I thought i'd post this here.

from the Game.co.uk signature edition page regarding the sls competition

"T&Cs: This competition comes inbox with the Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition. You will receive no communication from GAME.co.uk regarding your entry. Other considerations - Stage 2 is likely to take place at the Nurburgring, Germany. The winning entrants vehicle will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz to the Mercedes dealership nearest to the winner. You must be 18 or over and hold a full driving licence in order to enter the competition"

Please can we have a separate thread for signature edition? It is quite a bit different to the collectors edition.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but as I remember there was some debate going on about how we would get our bonuses. I was looking on the gamestop site, and found this:

Online Customers: A code and instructions on how to redeem your exclusive in-game cars will be emailed when the game releases.

Store / In-Store Pickup Customers: A code and instructions on how to redeem your exclusive in-game cars will be printed on your receipt at time of purchase.

Probably only valid for US, but settles the matter at least.

About the Apex book - why is the collectors edition 300 pages and the signature edition 200 pages? :dunce:

Nope its this.

Mabye both books have wrong numbers or one of them have a correct one. Something tells me 300 pages.

Yes, we've seen the 2nd page of the car portion of the "rendered" book and it's already page 221 with another 950+ cars to go.

Yeah I did see the image, did not see what page it is. I like that I can see the book in front of me while looking for cars and used cars, It will make my checklist a lot easier.

Ive preordered the collectors edition from amazon uk. Can anyone provide a link to the pictures of the inside of the apex book? Dying to find out what it will look like!

I'm getting the CE from EB games in store, (probably faster than the mail) and It said on the website the same thing about the DLC cars. I will get the Mclaren F1 stealth car and #20 joey logano car. Only care for the F1 though.

Is somebody here can confirme me if the Signature Europe Edition have french langage into game menu ect.. ?

I know the book inside box is in English only. But ingame ?

Thanks.

Just noticed EB games Australia doesn't list GT5 Signature edition on their website anymore, just the standard and collectors editions.

Hopefully because they have sold out the pre orders for the SE.

Just noticed that too.
Lucky I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago.
But you can still get it from JB HIFI

Yeah, I pre ordered from EB the day SE was announced so I don't have a problem if it is just sold out, will probably ring them tommorrow to make sure EB is still getting the SE just in case.

I just fully paid-off my CE preorder. It was $140NZD,
but is it more or less than the US one? It might be less,
Since we get less stuff:[

Let me guess, if you hadn't used the money now for GT5 you would have spent it on something else, right? No? In that case, why hand over all that money for something that's not out yet, and only serves to make the retailers even more wealthy with them earning interest on the money instead of you?

An accountant I know once did a rough estimate on how much extra money stores make by taking partial and fully paid pre-orders, and it was quite staggering.

No thanks, I'll pay for the game when it ships.
