Hmmmmmmm, they DID since the first damage demonstration featured only flying doors of a impreza.....they didn't?? Oh man, now I'm confused....

First damage we have seen was the E3 trailer which was deformable damage plus scratches. They don't show us everything in gameshow demos, for example paddle shift animations, but when they do that doesn't mean they 'rebuild' anything.

I didn't know that, so, why they've delayed the game then? I was pretty sure that the cause was the rebuilt damage calculation model.

I'm pretty sure it's because they have such a ridicules about of cars to model. But yes the damage probably needs a bit more tweaking. looked pretty weak in the demos

They know what they're doing. Yamauchi himself said that the damage system we saw was made in a couple of month. It was just the beginning, and it's still a work in progress! It wasn't "re-designed" because a bunch of kids criticised it over the internet. Besides, they HAD to show something at gamescom/tgs to let the fans know they're making the damage system, as a proof and as a demonstration of "the first step" (Kaz mentionned that a few days after gamescom).
I never EVER thought the damage I saw was finalized, not even the first time it was shown in-game, august 18th.

How would I, or you or anyone outside PD/Sony know why it was....... set for release in 2010 rather than 2009? We don't, considering we know so little about GT still it would be silly to even considering to blame a 2010 release on a feature we know about "Damage".

I wonder if there will be leaderboards by country?

Back in 2001 there was a competition similar to this for Formula One 2001 on the ps1 and ps2. Each country had a top 10 or 12 for each platform. There was a overall leader board and a country leader board. I expect something similar with this

If we look closely, we can see that the brakes, rims and tires were replaced and modifications such as the height of the car are visible.
According to you, we can choose between different brands of components such as in this case Yokohama Advan A048 (I think), rays engineering volk rims and Brembo brakes?
The decals may can be a sign of a livery editor?

I'm not really sure about tires. I remember in GT4 all racing tires looked the same, and there was Rays/Volks in GT4. Brakes I would imagine come on the 370 as they come on most sporty Nissan/Infiniti models.

The banners on the windshield, are just like the ones on the GT5P tuned cars, and seems it's just a a car BY PD with PD styling.

But a Livery editor isn't out of the question

The stickers on the car are only there because PD can do whatever they want to the cars. It in no way confirms or hints at a livery editor.

lol the demo doesnt confirm anything becase it ISNT A DEMO. we technically dont even know if the 370 will be in the final game so on and so forth becase it just a "game" its not a demo

I hope this isn't serious.

Are you drunk?

edit: oooooh guys dont worry he's just xPUBExLESSx, a well known troll.

whoa .. they will include diffrent tyres models ? :) Now that's i call detailed in every part..

few months ago there were some rumors about modeing each components from tuning companies... So we may actually see diffrence not only by name of diffrent tuners...

neat !

My english is very poor, I can't understand anything when people are philosophizing in this way, there must be a meaning supporting his words, maybe some conspiracy theory focused in taking out nissan from the final game.....Mhuwhuahuahuauha * Evil Laugh * :dunce:

Some people here are incredible, they got the demo of GT5 and they complain!!!

Besides, i cant wait to taste that!!!!!:dopey:

Sorry my english.

Livery editor has been in there since the early days, so no need to speculate. Just because they haven't shown it doesn't mean its not there or they haven't been working on it.

Who's complaining? I haven't heard of anyone complaining yet, this is the first time I've seen the gtplanet community so happy about new GT5 news lol (not seriously). If anyone really is complaining, well...are you kidding me? We speculated if there would ever be a GT5 demo and the majority of us were saying that we already have GT5 Prologue and doubted PD would give us a GT5 demo...well now we're getting one as a Christmas present I guess, so be grateful we are getting anything at all. It will make the wait until March (or later) much less painful. I'm pumped for it

Has anyone thought that the demo could be the new nurburgring? It is technically a section of another track (well it links with the old one) .. and length wise it would be perfect..

Who knows.

I was thinking last night how the Demo could possibly be a little bigger than we think. The time trial contest for GT Academy could be just one part of it. Maybe a quick-race section with a few more cars? :sly:

I'll apologise in advance in case its already covered in the last 14 pages, but am i right in presuming the 'tuned' Nissan will be fixed, as in we will not have any tuning options? I'm just curious, and i missed the last round of GT academy.

I'd assume there will be no tuning options. This part of GT Academy is designed to show who's the fastest outright, not who's the best at setting a car up.

Bathurst
Bathurst
Bathurst
Bathurst

please, please please please please include Bathurst in GT5.

Bathurst would be an awesome time trial track... going down through the Esses a few km/h too fast and a few inches one way or the other is the difference between a good lap and ending up bouncing off the concrete walls. :p

Definitely, Bathurst is all about knowing the dips and rises & tweaking the suspension so that you are not bottoming out excessively. I use to love driving around Bathurst in TOCA Race Drive 2.
