I'd be happy if this special bonus was some PORSCHE VEHICLES!!!!!!

Well guys, I don't know what I'm more excited for:
-Getting my gtx 580 from RMA
-Getting the go ahead from Antec to RMA my psu
-FINALLY getting my HP Touchpad (ordered back in Aug 24) this friday
-PD's Oct 25 DLC content with "SPESHUL BOWNUS"


Come to think of it, what if its S.Vettel's F1 car? That would sick SIIIICK!!!

I think Codemasters have the rights to 2011 F1 cars.
 
I'm currently living in New York and racing at Spa right now. :)
 
Considering PD's track record with releasing things I'm not surprised by all this.
 
It's not PD, it's SCEA slapping us in the face. As I said, I'm racing on Spa right now. So everyone has the DLC installed. Sony is screwing us over.
 
No worries for me, I can wait. In the meantime, I will continue trying to obtain my last few golds and be entertained with the comments and assumptions written. 👍
 
My guess is it's to include Dan Wheldons suit and helmet as a memorial tribute. That's why it is a last minute thing, and PD thinks he only has fans in North America.

Both of my kids had a "release date" and yet neither of them actually arrived on said date. Relevance stands.

This isn't Apple. It's Sony/PD. Speak with your wallet. Don't like how they're doing business? Don't buy their products. Simple as.

Which is exactly why whatever the problem is, it should take HOURS to fix, not a freaking entire WEEK. Such huge amounts of BS...
 
i've been just running a Spa for the past 1/2 hour in a Japan room, its as great as i expected it to be! Its delayed but now i have a new reason to play online till it gets here in the states, career grinding is now put on hold!
 
question, i made a European account when the BF3 beta came out, and was able to download and install it then go back to my regular North American account and play on it. Will I be able to do the same on this?

SCEA is typically american- we're more incline to sit on our asses while munching big macs (or are we now chewing something even more gross like a quadruple big mac with 20 layers of thick slabs of bacon).

Back to the 'surprise' issue... we won't be awarded any cars or tracks not available to the rest of the world, or anything really advantageous. We already have DLC cheaper than Europe (not sure about Asia), so we might be able to expect a slightly larger discount. Nobody in a foreign market could complain if PD knocked of an additional $0.50 because we already have it a couple bucks cheaper. Might be a car ticket too, but don't expect anything too special. This completely solidifies PD's reputation as being disorganized. I think they are sincere in attempting to provide the best experience, but have thus far shown to be incapable.
 
You can still use the DLC online? Even without ownership?

That would be super awesome but I doubt they would delay something like this for that. I would forgive them if this were the case though.

Better be a justifiable reason for delaying, because people that pumped $ into PSN for DLC, myself included, are VERY ANGRY right now. Is it PD or SCEA to blame, and for what reason was it delayed? I need a direction to point my anger at. And if the magnitude of the "surprise" does not impress...:banghead:

What were they thinking? I was all ready to spend $ for them and they delay the DLC to the same date Battlefield 3 releases. Who thinks the marketing strategy? An 8 year old? JESUS.
 
forget my last comment, i got booted out of the session by the server and now everytime i try to get back in a Spa room it wont load up and tells me the server wont let me do! So mad!:grumpy:
 
My vote is for the Chromeline XJ13.

It's pretty obvious. It already exists but we unfortunate yanks didn't get a free one like everybody else in the world.

Really freakin' disappointing. They just backed up the DLC issue into the US release of Battlefield 3, which I have pre-ordered and which will take up 100 percent of my gaming time once it hits.

And I can't imagine why they would do this after having announced DLC released first in the "third week of October" and then specifically for Oct. 18. Can't see any technical issues, nor any marketing benefits, which leaves "legal" as the only real explanation. There, you're entering a world of pain, to quote Walter from The Big Lebowski.

I know, all the rooms the have it or at least from what i see are Japan rooms have no signal or like two bars and wont load!
 
I drove Spa and Kart Space II already. Wasn't impressed with the Kart track but my word Spa was breathtaking.
 
I'm all for extra stuff for an extra week. I don't even care if its good it's essentially free stuff. And lol gotta hop on a japan room and try Spa now...
 
Since it looks like only US will get the bonus i doubt it will be something big, because guys in the rest of the world would be really pissed then. What could it be... matte pink maybe?:lol:
