I would've had today off work and been playing GT5 right now.

Instead I'm going to work. Damn.
 
Guys .. is GT5 a really special game? I mean when I look at GameFAQs PS3 release dates, there are games that will come out next year and no one said anything about them like: TDU2, Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Portal 2 (So many 2's), Killzone 3, etc..

Why are we talking too much about GT5 release date? I know that the games above were announced after GT5 but ... but .. uhhh .. what should I say?

TBH, I didn't believe GT5 will come out at that date because there are so many games already coming out this month but a little bit the next one (December) .. even last month I got so many games that I can't play them all .. It would've been crazy is GT5 was one of them .. I feel like I'm forced to check GT5 news everyday ><

Translated: We have no idea when the game will be released.
 
Well, the only encouraging thing about the message, is that it is the first one they send me since I placed the order. I speculate they waited until they had the information. But yes, sometime early January at the earliest is my guess.

This game is starting to smell a little bit "Duke Nukem: Forever".
 
Well if the magazines were planning huge features and cover stories based on the review copies they now haven't got, I'm guessing they will be pissed.
 
Also I am really starting to doubt GT5 being released post-Xmas as a major corporation such as Sony would be whipping Polyphony to make the Xmas sales.
 
Sony are on crack, seriously.
And their business mode very very poor. I can see what will happen here. the game will be released at teh end of teh year in japan and 2011 in Eu and NA.
if they wanted to make money they would have released it in a few weeks then the hardcore racers would buy it on teh first day. they the rest of teh world would get a copy for xmas. thats what Forza did, thats what EA did o and that what any company with a brain does!

Stupid unproffesional company. I hope they launch completely messes up and they lose millions.

There is no news. It is 757 people scratching there heads looking blank at the screen going WTF!!
 
Everyones hoping for news but it's a lost cause. This wouldn't happen with COD. Yeah GT is a better game but is it really worth 6 years work?

I agree about one thing: the aero package seems like the 2008 one.
However, the livery doesn't fit with 2008. The ARTA 2008 has white on the side, at the rear while the ARTA in the GT pic clearly doesn't.
So I don't know what to think here. It's certain that we will see Super GT cars from 2008 (the Stealth and Epson NSX) but I don't think the ARTA is one of them.
 
Never known COD to ever be delayed or miss the Nov release window, Bobby Kotick makes sure that he keeps things tight as a publisher.

I'm still amazed that DNF comparisons come up. I'm not sure if people followed that game or not but it was a mess. People have been able to continually play GT5 throughout its development while 3Drealms had to prove DNF even existed by allowing a guy named Jace Hall to play the game at their studio over 10 years after it was announced. Yes, that's how long it took for anyone outside of 3Drealms to actually get hands on time with the game. Before that the game only existed in the occasional screenshot which would literally be released years apart from each other.
 
I wish I could find that picture with Duke Nukem in the rear view mirror.

It's hard to imagine that not being the case. Deadline for review copies would likely be around the time when the news of the delay first broke.
 
The really annoying thing is that Sony/PD already know that it's not coming out for Xmas.
They won't tell us till the last possible minute so that people sitting on the fence about buying a PS3 may still go ahead and buy it.

They done the same last year. Annouced GT5 just before Xmas to release in Japan in March.
Just after the kids Ripped off the wrapping paper, bang delayed.

Sony your cruel.

They announced it at TGS in September.
 
Spaghetti..dude.you're right.I bet next week...they'll say Spring2011 N.America . I hope thats not the case...
