agreed, big let down. oh well.

i've got a 98 e36 M3 sedan in real life... just don't like tearing around town in it too often. would prefer to do that in the virtual world.

Oh well PD, i guess i'm just going to have to go drive wreaklessly to get my fix.

Well, at least you own one in real life... BMWs are hella expensive to buy and specially to mantain here in Brazil. A '95 E36 M3 would cost me like 25.000 USD... OUCH. But, one day I'll reach it =)

No it will not. They will use the GT5 engine as a starting point to develop and enhance it even further, thus becoming it's own new game engine.

ummm...GOW3 uses its own engine. Definitely not the same engine they used for 1 and 2

Ummmm no. GOW3 uses the PS2 engine although modified of course. Look it up! Developing AAA games isn't cheap, if they had created a new engine from scratch just for GOW3 we would've certainly gotten other games out of that engine.

Its scaring me, there was always one major thing I was jelous about Forza 3 owners ans that was the car line up, so many of the important cars are in Forza 3... like the E30 M3.. Diablo... etc

but if it's not well executed, or executed properly the way it should be, it's not even worth it... ;)


but then now we are not getting anything from GT5 either :(

There's no way that PD is going to be able to include everyones favorite car. And there's also no reason why they should put such a heavy focus on super cars as some seem to be wanting. They've never been a centerpiece to the series and that shouldn't start now. It's always been about balance in terms of the car selection.

Sure.

GT5:P is part of GT5's development cost (considering GT5:P is just a really early build of GT5).

GT5:P had little to no marketing, and it couldn't cost Sony no more than $10 bucks to stamp and ship disks.

This is true, c'mon theres millions upon millions of different cars in this world, we only have 1000. Obviously some people will be disappointed if their favourite car is not in. But PD doesn't know your favourite car do they?
 
20,000,000 CR for a Vintage Le Mans Ford, and 15,000,000 CR for a unique Miura??? Yikes...looks like things got a bit too real in GT world. It'll most likely be weeks grinding for a single car :lol:.

If PD wanted balance they shouldn't put 3 versions of 430...

Not in my book, that SP-1 is gorgeous and the 360 is best left forgotten in my opinion at least, the 430 was far better and much prettier than the 360 (which again wasn't hard to achieve) and the SP-1 again is far prettier than the 430.
Win win situation for me in this case (although I agree the 360 was more important).
 
Why did they get the Lamborghini license, if it's only to make 4 cars....?

I mean, seriously, instead of making a million versions of Skylines, why didn't they include more Lambos, more Ferraris, more Paganis....??
